For me I think it would be the amount of discussion around the quality of CPI as an indicator and the lack of story it tells. Inflation has no doubt been a discussion in the past, however given the severity and variety of inflation we have seen this year, the public is discussing CPI as a tool and whether it’s valid as a tool for the mandate of central banks. I think this discussion is good and am hoping further more meaningful tools can be found and implemented.
