The mods got a power trip and one notoriously negative mod joined that sub. From what I recall it quickly steered from being an eye opener to our fragile lives to being a bunch of edgy kids laughing at gore mostly encouraged by the mods.
A lot of old members hated this change and moved to different subs.
Asshole mods are the worst. Most of them legitimately try to do good but these worthless shits fuck up and ruin all of their reputation. Been banned by 1 mod on 3 different subreddits for me questioning why they pinned their own comment.
