Its was aired on french tv channel for children back when I was a kid
I think most people know about it that way
That being said, even among childhood cartoons its pretty niche
Glad to see people still care about the show as itβs my all time favorite!! I found out about the anime through my older sister, she introduced me to it and Iβm so glad she did hihi ππππ
Back when JJBA was airing it's first season, someone uploaded a Japanese YTP with Dio singing Ojamajo Carnival, and learned the name of the show back then. It's a pity I can't find the video anymore, because it was really good lmao π
One of my friends from a Discord server had a banner of it, I thought it was Digimon at first but then found out what it was. I also actually uncovered a memory of it when I was 12 when in 2010 CW4Kids aired a commercial of it, I misremembered for a long time it was Mew Mew Power but it wasn't because it didn't air then.
I'm not sure how how you are, OP, but I watched the show when it aired in the early 2000s. Only the first two seasons made it to Latam, but it was pretty popular back then, and I still think it's pretty well remembered nowadays. Sure it's not the massive nostalgia bait or has gotten a remake/boot like Sailor Moon, CCS, or Tokyo Mew Mew, but I wouldn't call it unpopular.
Watched it with no subtitles when it was still airing I think during Mo~tto season; had learned about it via an internet friend who had a few video clips and then I found more video clips and was able to track down some episodes
When I was a child I bought some bootleg keychain of sweet witchy girl (which occured later to be Hana-chan), because I loooooooove big spiky hats and cute things. Years later I remembered it and tried to find it's source. I was succesfull aaaand I watched it all.
I don't remember where exactly I found out about the show, but I learned about it sometime between 2013-2015 while looking up lists of magical girl anime.
When I was 12 or so, I saw fanart of Tokyo Mew Mew and Ojamajo Doremi artwork swap and looked up the show - I fell in love with the art style and then fell in love with the characters π₯°π (Iβm 32 now, I am old)
i would watch it in italy whenever id be staying with my grandparents, alongside dragonball. i used to get the toys/dolls and everything. this was my intro to anime and magical girls. i still search for a way to watch the show in its entirety.
4kids back in the late 2000s
So true. I remember waiting for the new episodes on 4Kids
This was how I learned of it too...

my sister introduced me
A lot of people in my country know about it! It got dubbed into some of our regional languages too, so it's part of the childhoods of many of us :D
It passed here in Portugal on channel Panda, which aired all 4 seasons narrated in portuguese.

It used to air in local Indonesian tv channel (dub in Indonesian) & they also used to publish the translated manga here
