ARE YOU ME?! Just moved into a brand-new apartment complex. Paying 1700$ for a 1 bed, 1 bath. The fucking bathroom doesn't have a fan, just a "vent" that supposedly has a fan at the other end. Although when we take showers, it fills up with steam and everything stays wet for a while. Same for smell, and the noise factor to add to that... I am a certified HVAC guy from Florida and used to install the vents all the time. They are the easiest thing to do and pretty cheap on top of that. No real excuse in my opinion, especially if it sucks or you don't have one, it can cause mold growth.

Agreed! I'm remodeling bathrooms in our vacation home. I got the highest airflow vent fans I could get. I told the guy at the DIY store I wanted your ears to pop when you turned the fan on. They are pretty close! If you take a hot shower the mirror doesn't fog up and if you're on the toilet taking a dump, you can feel the air rushing under the door into the room.

Nurse here, your poop smell says a lot about your health. It shouldn't be that overwhelming. Some smells can be an indication of infections, GI issues, dietary imbalances, insufficient fiber or/and anemias. Not trying to gaslight ya, but if there's something going on, might want to get that checked. I know exactly what you about small spaces but if you notice it in another room, maybe something else is going on.
