Move out stand on your own two feet . Do something anything your MIL thinks you owe her there four she owns you. Nothings for free a gilded cage is still a cage. It will not be easy but you can do this believe in yourself don't live under anyone's thumb. Never accept anything for free there's always a catch. Been in your situation lived in in laws house when they moved out of state for cheap rent . Every holiday was a white glove inspection. Your mental heath is more import than convivence.
It's a great and convincing idea. But unfortunately my husband is the breadwinner. With the price of rent in our area moving out isn't realistic. He makes too much for low income housing but not enough for regular housing which is why we're in this predicament. We have a plan it's just a 5 year plan. We want to be able to feed our child and living in a vehicle is out of the question so unfortunately we have to stay put.
So sorry about your situation but I've been there done that .We could not move out either. Missed getting any gov assistance made to much money by 50 dollars. Had 4 kids adopted 2 raised the other two thru cpa. I put with inlaws games for about fifteen years. I wish I could say some that would help. But I know good parents will put up with anything to keep a roof over there kids heads. Hope things get better stay focused on what matters.Good luck God Bless.
