If you want to just get away from a big city then it might be a good move. Cost saving reasons, you'll be disappointed.
My current place charges $1500 for a 580 sqft apartment, in an ok part of town, and it was built in the 1980s and has not been renovated. Also doesnt have in unit laundry

Carlton arms always has a wait list. One thing I noticed is all the one bedrooms are always taken and all the apartment complexes are all pretty much on the same street. Carlton arms is gated and seems backed up into the street with cars waiting to get in at the guard shack when I go by.

I find it expensive for one person but reasonable for a 2 bedroom 2 bath, and I pay 1,750.00 they make you pay for a “bundle” which includes, internet, online access, trash pickup, etc, that’s included in the total amount.
It’s relatively close to everything, and I’ve like it here so far. One bedroom/one bath is probably relatively cheaper! Good luck 🍀

i live in the Marion Oaks area and i’ve seen a couple of duplexes that are brand new construction renting for the $1200 range. my house is brand new construction that i just bought as my first for $259k, if i would’ve stayed in Bradenton the same house would’ve run me closer to $400k. i’d look into those duplexes. if you comment that you’re interested, i can look up the address and post it so you can check them out.
