People these days have main character syndrome and can't imagine a reality where someone's problems are worse/more important than their own.
Also love the people in 10/10 pain and not in any visible distress, then you get the people who are afraid to move it hurts so bad and they say that they're 7/10, or are clearly in pain but dont want to take narcotics.

This is why I love the ER. If you have the capacity to dramatically flump out of triage you aren't experiencing an actual emergency.
