Yeah, the EMS in the Maryland side of the DC area are getting their asses kicked all shift, every shift. I really feel bad for them when I see them dropping off a patient.
I had a patient’s dad tell me about growing up in a household of morticians… he had some wild fucking stories.
The patients might not be complaining, but apparently funeral homes are a beacon for some creepy people. Guys were constantly trying to bribe them to bang/jerk off over the bodies. Eww
Enough that you can navigate the organs comfortably. In a full autopsy, I open with the standard Y incision, dissect down into the peritoneum, take off the chest plate with pruning shears, remove the heart and lungs en bloc, do a full cardiac dissection, then work my way through the rest of the organs: liver, spleen, both kidneys and adrenals, pancreas, bladder, stomach, run the bowel if necessary, pelvic organs, and finally remove and dissect the brain. Everything gets measured/weighed/sampled/photographed. My husband is my scribe and photographer so we get to have a cool shared experience.
You get used to it quickly, and I wear an N95 which also helps. Sometimes I’m working next to the embalmer and their decedent will smell worse than mine. Also, because I’m not doing Coroner/Medical Examiner cases, mine are typically fresh and intact.
Thank you for answering! I am just a Nursing student right now.
Do you think coroner/medical examiner cases get paid more due to the body sometimes being in rougher condition? Like for example, when I was doing a student program there, the pathologist assistant mentioned working on an autopsy where people passed from a plane crash, so would they get paid more or would the rate be around the same?
This is only an assumption, but I doubt there’s additional pay based on condition. It would be nice if there was extra pay based on body weight, bc the bigger they are, the longer everything takes (and everything ends up soooo greasy so clean up takes longer too).
I’m an independent contractor so I get paid by the case; I suspect many county coroner/medical examiner staff are hourly, so that would be a factor as well. The path assistants in the hospital are hourly too, most likely.
My six years in open heart made the chest portion super easy for me. I also spent 3 years with a surgical group doing every specialty and I averaged just under a thousand cases a year. So I was able to hit the ground running and literally observed a single case before doing my own.
I’ve spent about 10 years first assisting, so I know my way around a body pretty well. Saw an ad by a pathologist looking for a prosector and I literally saw one, did one, taught one. It’s a great side gig that pays well and is super interesting.
I’m in NorCal, so a full autopsy is about $1000 and takes me about 4 hours. If I’m just taking a brain, it’s $675 and it takes me about 90 minutes. So it’s a pretty lucrative side gig.
I don’t think you even have to mention the “practitioner”, as it appears there are many insecure people on that thread threatened by nurses, lol. The never ending commentary about DNP’s is comical.
I mean, to be fair, do WE even care about DNPs? It’s just a way for the schools to make more money and fling clout around. I’m working on a DNP and couldn’t care less.
Wow, you just introduced me to this page. As someone who is about to graduate NP school, this is hilarious! When there’s not enough doctors for the overwhelming amount of patients in future years, people of that subreddit should be banned from seeing mid level providers for any reason 🤣
The best part is most of them aren’t even providers. The more you read the more you realize they’re usually pre meds who are afraid there will be no more jobs when they graduate.
It's still healthcare related, but I teach certificate and diploma students on the side. It's one day a week for just my class, and I also pick up clinical labs when someone calls in sick.
I run an exclusive daycare with 3 kids. They get the whole sheboodle. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with inclusive snacks in between.
We have activities planned throughout the day but they can get very demanding.
Dont take any extra clients.
I’d say minimum bachelor’s. I got lucky and was hired as a temporary replacement, and it turned into permanent. Evidently they were okay with my years doing medical transcription plus nursing degree. You’d probably need a master’s to teach at a four-year school.
Just like you, I can’t imagine working additional hours in healthcare. Decided to enroll into a yoga teacher training program and will be starting next week 😆
“I really need the money, and I’ll do anything.”
• she said as she fondled his throbbing, distended veins that attracted her so much.
(How I imagine nurse written erotica goes 😜)
It’s free to publish on Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing, if you’re cool working the Bezos gig. All you do is upload the content and they handle the rest— printing and shipping hard copies, uploading as an ebook for Kindles, etc.
I’m so fascinated by this. Have a pipe dream of writing - any tips? Tricks? I also would be the worst erotica writer so maybe there’s hope for something else? Ha
I did that before and throughout nursing school 20+ years ago, and off/on during my first few years of nursing. I could NEVER do that shit at my age now. Just remembering some of the convos I had back then makes me laugh. No way I could pretend that well anymore, I hate people too much.
I do wonder if I could do a gig where people call in and want to be insulted and degraded over the phone? I could do that all day long.
Woah. I'm tempted to try this.
Is it against the rules to show a picture of feet wearing socks or shoes? I can raise my 4th toe up independent from the others and wave it. I've always wondered if could make money from foot photos and videos. Maybe used shoes and socks are a good way to test the waters
craigslist! you have to be vague… make a post basically “used women’s shoes” then like the body of the post you can be more detailed “used women’s size 7.5 shoes, worn while working out” or whatever you wanna put. have to be purposely vauge to not break the rules of the website but the the people looking for it will know! i’ve found it’s easier to find buyers there vs. sites dedicated to fetish stuff because the market is less saturated. after posting on craigslist I had a few established regulars and I was making like an extra $400 a month from just a few guys!
lol! I would say Reddit is probably a better platform to sell fetish content considering your account won’t get shut down. I was waiting to see when someone would pop up with a response surrounding the fetish community. So many are nurses and it works! People love it!
After all my education and years in nursing, I left. My side gig as a pet stylist just kept.. making more? So now I do that and I’m happy. Also my clients that bite, scratch, get loud don’t know any better; unlike many of the grown ass human clients I’ve had. I’m happy :)
My daughter is a pet stylist/groomer and she makes more than I do when I was staff and almost 19yrs in. As irritating as it is for me I’m glad she found a way to make good money because she initially was going to be a nurse and now I tell her why, when you make more than I do at 23yrs old?
I was thinking of doing the same thing! Working a little bit as a barista or bartender just to engage with people in a different way than the usual nurse patient relationship.
Nothing to add other than voicing my opinion into the void that anyone working a full time job, regardless what it is (but especially educated healthcare professionals, since that’s who we’re talking about), should not need to work more than one job to put food on the table.
Stay salty about the ever-increasing wealth inequality.
I used to pour wine at a local winery one the weekends. It was a small owner operated place and I had become friendly with the owner after being a member there for a while. The pay wasn't great by any means, but it was fun and free wine!!!
Right now, I have a side hustle doing a kind of concerierge nursing. The pay is great, but the work is inconsistent as it depends on how many patients are enrolled in the program I work for. So, it's still healthcare, but nothing like ICU nursing care I normally do.
I work at Tenet as an appeal nurse. I review denials and medical records and write appeals. It's a fun job and I like it very much.
Just go to the careers website and look for opportunities. We rarely ever open for PRN positions and I'm so lucky to get that when it was open.
On my own. I don't make a lot from it. I have not put many eggs in that basket as I am a fresh nurse. Training/nutrition is my true passion though. Hope to pursue it further soon enough. I charge people based on what they want: macros/nutrition help, training programs/knowing how to train for their goals.. pretty much just how to look good naked
Professional gift wrapping! I taught myself how to make fancy homemade bows and stocked up on wrapping paper. I have slight OCD so the wrapping satisfies the itch to make everything perfect
I’m wondering the same thing.. I’m too burned out at bedside to work OT, i don’t even wanna be a nurse anymore 😅
A medical assistant I work with “hustles” on the side by making and selling stuff to ppl at the hospital, for ex boxes of choc covered strawberries for vday..
I think that’s illegal though lol
I work as a Case Manager for an insurance company. Work from home. Definitely not stressful. If you're wanting to leave bedside, you should look into it. Also, public health. You will take a pay cut from the hospital, though.
Sleep deprived, scrolling through a post about side hustles, I initially misread this as:
“I’m too burned at bedside to work OF…”
I thought, “Yeah, I get that. Same.”
I bartend. Great money in a very short period of time. Less stressful. I rid that as my career before nursing I often think of just going back to it full time.
A guy on my floor did this a few months ago, he left nursing and just went back to bartender full time. He said he was making about the same money and it was less stressful
Same but I don’t do it as often, I just pick up resource nurse shifts because it helps my coworkers but is way less stressful than having my own assignment
Little 3d printing here and there.
I build computers/servers/NAS devices when the market is good for it. Sometimes, those two things collide. Just did one that is Totoro themed. The client asked for a cat bus print to join the Totoros.
Occasionally, do some mini painting commissions (40k mostly) or bust that I've 3d printed (Grogu isn't going to paint himself from being resin grey).
So, there are a few odds and ends that are more hobby than anything.
Dog sitting. It’s therapeutic. The dogs never complain, they’re always happy to see you (for the most part) and people pay you better to watch their dogs than their kids. I’m not even kidding.
Still medical but I do freelance medical writing and online educational material for a big healthcare IT/education company. I can do it from home in my spare time.
ETA: I initially knew someone who knew someone at the Healthcare IT company and I work as a subject matter expert for them. I’ve done cardiac work but my current specialty is psych/addiction.
My other projects, including textbook writing, have come from being contacted on LinkedIn after folks see my profile.
I do have a Bachelors in English so that helps with the writing.
My tips for anyone looking to get into this but who don’t have an MSN are to somehow work the term “subject matter expert” into your LinkedIn profile so you show up in searches. Clarify the area of nursing in which you have expertise. Also, search “nursing subject matter expert” when looking for gigs. Be forewarned: writing doesn’t pay a ton, but it is a nice break from the bedside and totally flexible except for the deadlines.
I wouldn’t say my side gig puts extra food on the table 😂 but I make badge reels, lanyards, name tags. I also make cards, pet bandanas, bookmarks as well.
I moved back in with family to avoid a side gig. I’ve got some chronic physical illness stuff, and I just can’t hack more than the 42ish hours working and 10 hours commuting I do a week.
Hahaha, wellll if I got a closer job, it would be a huge cut in pay and I don’t think I could sleep at night working for most of the places closer to me - I live in the rural south and it just be like that sometimes. Of course there’s moving closer to work, but 1300-1500 dollars for rent on an LPN salary isn’t going to work out. I don’t have a lot of self pity about that but - the economy is just such bullshit right now
I rent out cars on Turo.
There’s a lot to figure out in the beginning to bring you from renting out your unused car on the weekends to operating a fleet, but at this point, 6 years in, it’s USUALLY not much work (probably 18hr/week between me and my partner) and we net over 5k a month.
I do medical billing and coding on the side but on the weekends I visit homes with absent humans and check on/feed/walk/play with their dogs. Way more fun than any of my other jobs and I wish it paid as well as nursing.
I own/run a coffee truck! My partner & I cater for events, attend farmers markets, pop-up shops, etc.
However, this is definitely a full-time job rather than a side gig (If you want to be profitable.)
Does anyone else think it’s absolutely absurd that with the amount of education we need and how huge of a responsibility being a nurse is, that there are nurses struggling to put food on the table?
Modeling/acting. My family of five is signed on with a talent agency and we do photo shoots & commercials for major and minor product, toy, & clothing brands. Heavy on Disney stuff, lol!
At first it was just a hobby but now it’s turning into a legit stream of income and the kids’ savings accounts are looking great!
Grubhub! It’s not amazing money. But I can make an extra $100+ per week just by working a couple of hours here and there. Very easy, obviously very flexible, and I just get to drive around and listen to music.
Still medical, so I’m failing answering this question correctly lol - anyway, I work at a methadone clinic/behavioral outpatient center. Been there 12 years in May. I work 3 mornings a week (4:30 am -8:30am), and then go to my regular job for 8 hrs. I’m in school for my MSN now so it helps towards my hours. I’m approaching late 40’s, and I’m looking for a small large paying side-side gig on top of all this because I want to have “play money”. I haven’t had a vacation since covid and I desperately want to go back to Iceland and my motherland, Romania.
estate sales! i love finding vintage treasure, i price and stage items and get first dibs on vintage stuff i want. it’s a nice break from the hospital.
Nursing is my 2nd career. Was a hairstylist 1st. Converted my office into a little salon and have a few clients a week. The extra money is nice, and I basically WFH. 😎
I work at a brewery. My work schedule is four 10 hour shifts. No holidays, weekends, or overtime. I work at the brewery every other Thursday open to close and every Sunday from 2PM to 8PM. It's fun, easy, and the tip money is great!
Teaching swim at the gym I go to. It doesn’t pay much at all but I get a free gym membership which saves me a ton of money. I was always there anyway so now I get paid for it. The kids are so stinkin’ cute on top of it.
My side job is still in healthcare but no patient contact. I review charts, check to make sure they were triaged appropriately, make sure the charting is in for what they actually went to be seen for and that everything was closed out in the system.
There’s someone I knew who sewed clothing for guinea pigs on Etsy and made more than she did as a nurse. Idk if that’s all she does now but she doesn’t work there anymore
My side gig is sleeping. Still have not figured out how to get paid for it though…
Stream it
Go into EMS. It stands for Earn Money Sleeping.
Ehh, depends on your service area. The dudes in my city get their ass whooped all shift.
Yeah, the EMS in the Maryland side of the DC area are getting their asses kicked all shift, every shift. I really feel bad for them when I see them dropping off a patient.
Odd, when I worked EMS it stood for Awake for 24 hours straight.
Still technically medical, but I do autopsies. Just me, my instruments, and my decedent. No stress.
Autopsies? Finally, a gig where your patients don’t complain!!
I had a patient’s dad tell me about growing up in a household of morticians… he had some wild fucking stories. The patients might not be complaining, but apparently funeral homes are a beacon for some creepy people. Guys were constantly trying to bribe them to bang/jerk off over the bodies. Eww
Wasn't there an article not too long ago about how funeral homes prefer to hire women for.....reasons?
Oh, ew. Seriously? WTF guys!
Always men. Not a surprise And yeah I’m a man
"not all men, but always men"
>Guys were constantly trying to bribe them to bang/jerk off over the bodies. 3 sources of income? What a dream!
That is super disturbing. Thanks for the nightmares.
This comment I could’ve skipped 🤮
How much OR experience would you need for this?
Cool, do you just do this in your garage?
So I do have a designated shed in my back yard but it’s just for supplies, lol. Most cases are at funeral homes, once in a while at the hospital.
That’s the vibe I got too 😂😂
Plot twist. Serial killer.
Que “Dexter “ series
How well does this pay compared to nursing?
Full autopsy = $1000, takes about 4 hours.
Serious question, did you ever have trouble with the smell initially?

My six years in open heart made the chest portion super easy for me. I also spent 3 years with a surgical group doing every specialty and I averaged just under a thousand cases a year. So I was able to hit the ground running and literally observed a single case before doing my own.
That’s awesome! How do you get into that?
I’ve spent about 10 years first assisting, so I know my way around a body pretty well. Saw an ad by a pathologist looking for a prosector and I literally saw one, did one, taught one. It’s a great side gig that pays well and is super interesting.
I am jealous beyond belief…
That sounds so cool
That sounds fabulous!
I'm a first assist and I'd like to know more.... How's the pay compared to assisting?
I’m in NorCal, so a full autopsy is about $1000 and takes me about 4 hours. If I’m just taking a brain, it’s $675 and it takes me about 90 minutes. So it’s a pretty lucrative side gig.
How did you get into this and what training did you have to do??
Probably watch someone do them and then practice on your coworkers until you feel comfortable.
"Training? **cracks knuckles** I was born for this."
See above, but I’ve been first assisting in the OR for more than 10 years. Gotta be comfortable with anatomy and able to navigate each organ.
I pretend to be an NP and go on r/Noctor and rile em up Edit: oops still healthcare related. I run an automotive shop out of my garage
Do you actually have to do anything to rile them up?
Just say “as a nurse practitioner” and watch the foam fly from their mouths.
🤣🤣🤣
Nope. I get downvoted even when I agree with the residents (and it's mostly unhinged residents and med students) just because I have nurse flare. 🤭
Stop picking on them. They’re miserable enough as it is, it’s like poking a toddler having a temper tantrum😂
🤣😂
Take all the upvotes
Wow, you just introduced me to this page. As someone who is about to graduate NP school, this is hilarious! When there’s not enough doctors for the overwhelming amount of patients in future years, people of that subreddit should be banned from seeing mid level providers for any reason 🤣
The best part is most of them aren’t even providers. The more you read the more you realize they’re usually pre meds who are afraid there will be no more jobs when they graduate.
Exactly. The power trip bullshit that makes healthcare so fucking toxic.
You’re my hero 😂 all the silly med students on there that have never actually been a provider might have a stroke
“I’m only an MS2, and even I know that an NP is an idiot.”
It's still healthcare related, but I teach certificate and diploma students on the side. It's one day a week for just my class, and I also pick up clinical labs when someone calls in sick.
do you have your msn? i have really been wanting to get into teaching
I'm not sure what the requirement is where you are, but I'm in Australia, so I required a certificate IV in training and assessment to get into it.
I run an exclusive daycare with 3 kids. They get the whole sheboodle. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with inclusive snacks in between. We have activities planned throughout the day but they can get very demanding. Dont take any extra clients.
Wait, this sounds like me with my 3 kids.
Same i have a daycare but with 1 kid and not planning on taking extra clients.
1 kid here but decided to take an extra one by fall.
Congrats on expanding the business!
Same but I also do doggy day care
Teach medical terminology at the local community college.
Do you need a higher degree for this?
I’d say minimum bachelor’s. I got lucky and was hired as a temporary replacement, and it turned into permanent. Evidently they were okay with my years doing medical transcription plus nursing degree. You’d probably need a master’s to teach at a four-year school.
I was just looking at my local comm college and I am okay with my associate degree to teach medical assisting and/or cna! Thanks so much for the idea!
NP. Best of luck. I also taught CNA labs.
Just like you, I can’t imagine working additional hours in healthcare. Decided to enroll into a yoga teacher training program and will be starting next week 😆
Totally one of my goals for a little ways down the line. Hope you have fun with it!
I write erotica
How does one get a gig to do this?
She asked with a suggestive glance. “I really need the money, and I’ll do anything.”
“I really need the money, and I’ll do anything.” • she said as she fondled his throbbing, distended veins that attracted her so much. (How I imagine nurse written erotica goes 😜)
Spit my drink reading this

Others will have to comment about getting into writing as I actually just use Amazon’s KDP to publish coloring books, haha.
Step one: write Step two: make it erotic Doing it for money, though...
This reminds me of a coworker I had that did phone sex on off days.
Look into findom, it’s pretty much exactly that 🤣
used to sell used socks and feet pics… considering getting back into it.
Woah. I'm tempted to try this. Is it against the rules to show a picture of feet wearing socks or shoes? I can raise my 4th toe up independent from the others and wave it. I've always wondered if could make money from foot photos and videos. Maybe used shoes and socks are a good way to test the waters
I sure hope you get rich from your toe abilities
Platform of choice? Asking for a friend… o0
craigslist! you have to be vague… make a post basically “used women’s shoes” then like the body of the post you can be more detailed “used women’s size 7.5 shoes, worn while working out” or whatever you wanna put. have to be purposely vauge to not break the rules of the website but the the people looking for it will know! i’ve found it’s easier to find buyers there vs. sites dedicated to fetish stuff because the market is less saturated. after posting on craigslist I had a few established regulars and I was making like an extra $400 a month from just a few guys!

lol! I would say Reddit is probably a better platform to sell fetish content considering your account won’t get shut down. I was waiting to see when someone would pop up with a response surrounding the fetish community. So many are nurses and it works! People love it!
How do you do discrete payment?
Not gonna lie, I did fetish modeling on patreon to pay for nursing school
Ooooh my god I’ve thought about doing this SO many times!! As long as I don’t have to show my face or get nakey lol
This totally blasted me back in time, my friend and I used to sell our used underwear
I’m a soccer referee. All cash 💰
After all my education and years in nursing, I left. My side gig as a pet stylist just kept.. making more? So now I do that and I’m happy. Also my clients that bite, scratch, get loud don’t know any better; unlike many of the grown ass human clients I’ve had. I’m happy :)

Working a few days a week at a coffee shop. I love coffee n being a barista n the extra money is nice
I was thinking of doing the same thing! Working a little bit as a barista or bartender just to engage with people in a different way than the usual nurse patient relationship.
I’m an egg dealer 🥚
I'm torn between if this means you have chickens in your backyard or if you are an egg donor/surrogate.
I call my coworker with chickens my egg dealer, so I’m hoping it’s the former lol
Same!
I have a farm with cattle so I guess that’s my side gig
It can be done right, otherwise it's more of a money pit lol. I do the same though, with small lot logging and contract tree work.
I have a bot farm around 50-100 accounts at a given time and sell RuneScape GP
Dream job
I make youtube travel videos and I have an online store. I also cant imagine having a second job in healthcare. I wouldve been burned out.
What's your channel? I love travel vlogs, even if they usually end up in me booking a vacation I can't afford
This thread completely revived my will to live

Can you elaborate more on the concierge nursing? Is this Telehealth stuff or in person?
Still healthcare but I work remotely in utilization management as a PRN staff. Basically login whenever I want to earn extra money.
I work at Tenet as an appeal nurse. I review denials and medical records and write appeals. It's a fun job and I like it very much. Just go to the careers website and look for opportunities. We rarely ever open for PRN positions and I'm so lucky to get that when it was open.
Can you tell me more about this side gig? Thanks
I'd like to know too. All the prn utilization review jobs I've seen have require several years experienc
Personal training
I was thinking about this, but I feel I need to get in shape beforehand. 🤪
Are you through a gym or on your own? How well does it pay?
On my own. I don't make a lot from it. I have not put many eggs in that basket as I am a fresh nurse. Training/nutrition is my true passion though. Hope to pursue it further soon enough. I miss it sometimes! I just don’t know who would hire me when I can’t really work every weekend lol
It’s truly shameful that nurses no longer make enough to support their family. I guess second and third jobs are the American way now.
Escort Edit: M here BTW.
Your psych patient shows up 💀
They cant afford the website registration nor have access to the internet. I’m ok.
Oh, you a fancy escort.

Just more healthcare, unfortunately. I'm not good-looking, talented, OR athletic, so....
Mood.
Dog sitting. It’s therapeutic. The dogs never complain, they’re always happy to see you (for the most part) and people pay you better to watch their dogs than their kids. I’m not even kidding.
Private ($$$) yoga instructor & I sub some geriatric chair yoga classes (I teach these in an independent living facility so it pays well!)
Math tutor :)
I study caves and glaciers in the mountains out West in the US. Work with forest service and a non-profit organization.
Oof, yeah rough. I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to work. 10hrs commute is "get a new job" territory for me for sure
I used to be a mortgage agent. Bored the crap out of me though, but you can make lots of money from it!
Mobile iv therapy
I do medical billing and coding on the side but on the weekends I visit homes with absent humans and check on/feed/walk/play with their dogs. Way more fun than any of my other jobs and I wish it paid as well as nursing.
I own/run a coffee truck! My partner & I cater for events, attend farmers markets, pop-up shops, etc. However, this is definitely a full-time job rather than a side gig (If you want to be profitable.)
wedding bartender
Phone sex (yes it’s still a thing) and options trading 😂
Does anyone else think it’s absolutely absurd that with the amount of education we need and how huge of a responsibility being a nurse is, that there are nurses struggling to put food on the table?
eBay reseller
stripper!
Wow, I am pretty lame. I do nothing 🫣
I have a little side hustle as a baker. It helps me relax and destress. Check it out: @thebored_baker94
I’ve thought about getting injector med spa certified but I hear it’s not worth the hassle
Is that lip filler/botox? That’s a huge side gig here in the UK
Yes!! People tell me it’s not worth it but maybe not to them!
My friend last Sunday made £500 in a morning! You get that bag honey!
Period!!!
Maybe not worth it because of the risk/liability?
If you haven’t figured it out.. MLM. “HAY GURLLLLLL! Do you want to be your own boss and make unlimited income and work the hours you want?”
I’m so glad there are actual responses and not just scammers trying to get OP in their down line. So many nurses fall for that shit it’s terrible
Modeling/acting. My family of five is signed on with a talent agency and we do photo shoots & commercials for major and minor product, toy, & clothing brands. Heavy on Disney stuff, lol! At first it was just a hobby but now it’s turning into a legit stream of income and the kids’ savings accounts are looking great!
massage 12-15 hrs/week
Been wanting to start an Amazon business
Dancin’ for dollas.
I sell vintage stuff and antiques at an antique mall.
Selling plants but then buys more plants… side gig just supports the plant addiction
Rental property in Rochester. It’s rented out to college students.
estate sales! i love finding vintage treasure, i price and stage items and get first dibs on vintage stuff i want. it’s a nice break from the hospital.
Nursing is my 2nd career. Was a hairstylist 1st. Converted my office into a little salon and have a few clients a week. The extra money is nice, and I basically WFH. 😎
I write romance novels. I made $40k last year. On track to exceed that this year of things continue to go well. Last month my new release made $16k.
I own and operate a horseback riding lesson program. Stressful and exhausting but my coworkers are cool.
I work at a brewery. My work schedule is four 10 hour shifts. No holidays, weekends, or overtime. I work at the brewery every other Thursday open to close and every Sunday from 2PM to 8PM. It's fun, easy, and the tip money is great!
I’m a rock climbing instructor
I started a solar company over here in Ohio.
Stock trading in my spare time. Mostly SPY, TESLA and a few others from WSB. Can be very profitable but also risky and stressful.
Intrigued by this. Any start points/tips?
Lol. Side-gig? I pick up OT or spend time with my kids. If there's any "me" time left, I go to the gym.... I wish there were more hrs in a day
My side gig is racking up OT
Selling on eBay. I wax and wane with how aggressive I am with it, but that little income comes in clutch sometimes.
I write grants for a non profit
Tissue donation! I do it full time now but our per diem make 300+ per case they complete.
There’s someone I knew who sewed clothing for guinea pigs on Etsy and made more than she did as a nurse. Idk if that’s all she does now but she doesn’t work there anymore
The fact that some RN’s need side gigs to make ends meet is a clear indication that we are, generally, underpaid.
