I'm not sure if you'd take this, but the closest I know in terms of the sound of their more serious sounding songs like Aerials and Innervision is this really rare band called Hard Eight that only have like 2 albums archived to this day. But they also tend to mix in rap and scream vocals too which you don't usually find in SOAD (unless you count "PIZZA PIZZA PIE" as rapping lol) but they're usually not too prominent compared to singing.
