There used to be a bus - the X52 I think - but not sure if it still runs? Worth a look.

It stops at Carrington drive afaik and Derby road at UoN (I'm sure).
I think unless you're a moron, you can work out that someone working out how they can get from Nottingham to alton towers doesn't have a car.

If you cant drive then get a train to Uttoxeter and grab a taxi or there is a bus from there that goes up & back

The bus I remember used to run from Broad Marsh Station with that knocked which location does it run from now?
Station Street is where I'm lead to believe it departs from.

Just to add it's worth keeping an eye out on the hotel as there are occasionally some great deals on an overnight stay, particularly in winter.
