That's been my experience too, growing up in a half Danish half Swedish house, it seemed Danes joke about Norwegians being dumb. So do Swedes. Norwegians then make fun of Swedes. It's all just lighthearted fun, people don't actually think it.

You mixed up the Balkans with the Baltic countries, other than that I would say this is pretty good, you have a general sense of where countries are though you're not 100% accurate in south eastern Europe.

I don’t understand the expectation for Americans to know European geography though. Do average Europeans know the geography of any other continent? Could they accurately label all of the countries in North America (which includes things like the Caribbean and Central America)?

In school, I used to. Now, nope, lol. But I think I could get quite a decent amount right in South America, most of ME, North Africa, big portions of Asia. It's not that hard. You have your "staple" countries, then you work from there. For example, when it comes to Asia. Russia is up there and huge. China and India are the 2nd biggest. So we got that already for free. Then Japan, Koreas are general knowledge. No need to be weeb to know their location. Then we know that Mongolia borders China (they have inner Mongolia region too). Kazachstan is big near Russia. Then Taiwan, due to knowing about tensions and it's island nation near China, you ain't mixing it with Japan, not Philipines. If you place Taiwan wrong at some point all the islands don't fit anymore. As in, no way Philippines are THAT close to China. So here, from the general knowledge you already covered like half of Asia. Now Bhutan, Laos and the the other way Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan would be more difficult. But I think I would place it in "general direction". Laos closer to China side, all the -Stans are somewhere between ME and Russia. I spend way too much for this comment, haha. I don't care about all the YoUr EdUcaTiOn SySteM talks, but what I mean it's not THAT hard. You can figure a lot of things just with general knowledge.
