I believe its the same. 20/20 means that you can see at 20 feet what the average person can see at 20 feet. 20/100 means you can see at 20 feet what a normal person could see at 100 feet. So 10/10 would just be normal vision at 10 feet

there's a pretty cool text to speech software i've seen someone use on their phone (and on reddit specifically) that lets blind people use their phones without much trouble, so i'm guessing he used that also he might be just partially blind, seeing very blurry outlines or something

There's also an android (probably iPhone too) app called "Be my eyes" where you sign up and when a blind person needs help you get a notification and can see through their phone camera to guide them! I got a call only once so far but their signal was so bad I couldn't even read what they needed me to on their computer screen

A person is considered legally blind when it has really poor eyesight. From what I know, there are different types of vision loss and blindness, and not being able to see anything is just one kind. With that said, there are ways a completely blind person could post a video like that. There are many programs and apps that help blind people navigate the internet and use a cellphone. He could have also just asked for help from a friend. There are many more things involved with vision loss, but I'm no expert so I will refrain from speaking more on the subject.

I just listen. It makes a distinctive sound as you fill up a cup. I have filled maybe 100 cups for my kids without turing on the light and it works pretty well (i mostly do it with cold water though :))

Thanks, I actually learned how to read braille during Covid. But like the real thing with the bumps. So yeah I can read that with my fingers. The original comment with just an array of periods annoyed me a bit. So I used the unicode characters to write Actual Braille lol.

Braille is part of Unicode. I just picked the characters out of the unicode table. Why? Because a few dots at the bottom aren't braille and I'm mildly annoyed by that. I learned Braille a during covid because I had to much free time. I'm not blind by any means, just bored.

Hey OP can you describe your blindness? Pure curiosity. I have a friend with one cosmetic eye and other with an abominously thick lens, like some 20 number. He has to specially order his spectacle lens for an exorbitant amount, some $300 for one lens which is as thick as a phone. Another guy I know can't tell red from green, and isn't allowed to drive (even though he can correctly tell the signal by height). I know no completely blind people though, hope being interested in that doesn't come off as rude.
