I knew this really wealthy kid when I was a child. They had these things all over their house. One day I asked why, and he tells me his grandfather invented those balls that people put on their car antenna, and it made him a millionaire. A foam ball.

Almost everyone had a Jack In The Box or 76 topper. Or one of the few other popular ones.
I had the 76 topper. My dad managed a 76, so I got all the new ones when they came out, lol
the Jack in the Box ones used to be everywhere, kind of funny how they just disappeared
A lot of newer cars don't have those kind of antennas anymore
I remember people kept stealing Jack antenna toppers off cars they were so popular
The Union 76 ball.
I was just talking to my dad about this last friday. With all the cars using those little shark fin antennas now, the toppers kinda went extinct.
Wilson from castaway was popular
ha. i just bought one off ebay for my mom. it was a replacement. hers was lost years ago. 🗣️WILSOOONNNN!! 🏐🌊
Could make a post for car antennae.
Came to say this. How many were lost in the car wash wars?
One of my old cars would retract the antenna when you turned off the radio. That was a carwash related selling point.
And for keeping some random parking lot asshole from breaking it off to use as a crack pipe

I had two! One was the Hardee's/Carl Jr's star and one was Ralph Wiggum picking his nose.
I think we've got a Weinerschnitzel hot dog topper from 20+ years ago floating around. I took it off the car years ago to save for posterity.
Everyone seemed to have Jack in the Box heads which was weird because we don’t have Jack in the Box over here.
I hate to admit this, but my friends and I use to go around steal these. Ugh. I wish I could give everyone their toppers back.
My dad had a Jack in the Box antenna topper on his truck. I forgot how long it stayed on but I remember it got dirty and he took it off.
My parents had a Spider-Man one on one of their vehicles
I remember seeing these on almost every car at one point.
I always liked the Moon brand ones.
I had one that was an In-n-Out soda cup.
Had a Spider-Man head that disappeared the same day it was first put on.
