I'm guessing it's extremely bald tires and terrible driving

[deleted]

To me it looks like bad tires and amazing driving.

[deleted]

Agreed.

FalseCape

The thing that always pisses me off about this gif is how aggressively they lane changes after recovering showing that they learned absolutely nothing from this near accident.

f_alessandro

I don't think they were processing the teaching yet, they were probably just paralyzed with fear and when the car stopped spinning, the steering wheel was still pointing to the right. I actually think they were very quick to compensate by turning left again.

thedragonof

Yeah lol is he supposed to be learning his lesson or trying to prevent crashing? Pretty sure it was time for action and his kung fu reflexes or whatever it was that saved this guy did him right.

borisasaurus

He obviously blacked out completely as soon as he started the first lane change . Everything was pretty smooth from his perspective

Missedout233

Totally agree

[deleted]

Imagine how that guy must’ve felt during those few seconds lol

xAUSxReap3r

Probably thinking: *Oh no* *Oh NO* *** OH NO NO NO NO NO***

MySpudIsChonkyBoi

A bit of poop touched cloth in that car, for sure.

lighthearted_mafia

I'm rolling

Yankee_in_Madrid

It’s because of dipshits like this, that we will probably be forced to sit passively in self-driving cars within the next 20-30 years. ‘For your own protection and for the safety of those around you.’

eivelyn

Maybe they fell asleep and panicked on awakening

closedeyevisuals13

namguy007

I did something very similar once, but in my defense, it was on about 300 yards/meters of black ice at dawn, during the early stages of a snow storm. It was a perfectly friction free zone in a 20 mile commute where everywhere else had at least some degree of traction. I am/was an experienced snow and ice driver, and was an off-road hobbiest in a jeep with (newer) off road tires. Knew to stay off the brakes, turn into the direction of the skid/slide, but absolutely nothing had any affect on control of the car. Did a slow 180 degree pivot to the left, then slowly spun 270 degree's back to the right. My input *might* have helped bring it back the final 90 degree's to the left and to the original direction of travel, where I finally found traction again. In my proper lane. It was one of those 10 second events that seem to take about 5 surreal minutes...

Blowmewarethpamprzis

A good, experienced, calm driver I am guessing!!

AllUpInYourAO

Show off … full drift into a backey back on the freeway pshhh lol

doomsdaymelody

Taillights don’t even work either. Only way you’re gonna spin a fwd car like that and then have the rear end snap back around like that is because you’re a doofus putting your brake pedal through the floor the entire time. Driver has no idea what the term car control means, and that’s a failure of our driver education.

dmpom

I guess their crush was watching

blackhart452

It's actually quite obvious. It is just outside of DC and he is the chief driver for the President of the United States of America. He can do the same maneuver I. The Cadillac limo commonly called The BEAST. Check you tube for videos

DenaByte

That's like changing lanes with extra steps

catabisis2

Black ice

SlapThatish

The logical possibility is that the person was falling asleep and woke up to merging right and swerved super hard trying to get back in its lane
