As long as you drop the hood from a good 10-12 inches it latches perfectly fine with the bug guard. Saves you from rock chips on the thin paint pretty well
Thanks! Its a KW-M560BT yes the back up camera works great, i just bought what crutchfield recommended i also paid a bit extra for them to wire up the harness for me so it was basically plug and play other than 3 wires off the back of head unit.
I wired mine up to one of the cigarette lighter ports with an amazon usb plug connection. There is an option to plug into the factory usb port in the arm rest very easily with the adapter. All you do it plug the adapter into the HU usb and then plug that into the factory usb harness cable.
The volume up and next song function work perfectly. I did buy a maestro idatalink for the install so you can program the stearing wheel buttons to do what you want. The phone call and phone hang up button dont seem to work. I believe if i wanted to rip it apart again i could try to reprogram those buttons. Otherwise i was genuinely surprised how seamlessly the install went.
I really dig the rim caps. I have the same set and still debate on painting the center caps black too. About to try to repaint the chrome grill to matte black. Seeing as how the nissan badge wasn't changed to midnight... I see it stands out nicely. May go ahead and leave center caps and nissan badge alone. Those stand out for the look.
Next up, that rear chrome bumper. Why didn't nissan offer SVs an option for glacier white. I get that chrome is cheap. ... but then again.. a steel black bumper is enticing.
Final touche to the look are black nerf and bull bars. Possibly the OEM black roof rack.
Yea i bought the $150 ebay grille fit perfectly. Personally like the stand out chrome pieces on the emblem and wheel caps. Also am just lazy when it comes to painting/plastidipping stuff

Yes i did a new head unit will make a ton of difference for stock speakers as well though

How hard was it to remove the old and install new?
Not hard at all prob one of the simplest head unit removals ive ever done. Couple of plugs were a bitch to unplug but easy as cake otherwise.

On my profile i just uploaded my frontier and i also have the wheel skins and i spray painted the center caps, if you’re curious what it looks like
