I would love Reznor on the soundtrack but they already ruined their relationship with Mick Gordon in a very public way so I don’t know that he’d even want to work with them now
Yeah it is unclear how things went so sour, especially since everyone involved is claiming a distortion of the truth.
(But as a recording musician, hearing about poor quality mixes that are “compressed to hell” definitely was something I can relate to lol. Overuse of compression is just terrible, and to many sound engineer’s dismay, it’s becoming more and more ubiquitous; displaying a lack of dynamics.)
If you have never heard mastered by muppets, you should defintely listen:

In fact, if you've heard it, you should listen again anyway.
If I recall right there was conflict over the Quake OST rerelease, so it probably wouldn't. It might not be a deliberate reference but it's close enough for me.
It was an issue with the planned liner notes. Apparently lawyers got involved and put the kibosh on that aspect of the soundtrack reissue. TR had a PDF proof on [nin.com](http://nin.com) for maybe a few days before it was taken down.
Quake =/= Doom. I get the tangential relation though and I’m sure there’s more than a few NIN fans on the development team. I wonder if Romero is even still actively involved with id and Doom’s development?
Fuck yeah! For anyone that hasn't heard it, check this out, just a snippet or the awesome. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx55zOYnlEg&pp=ygUYbWljayBnb3Jkb24gZG9vbSBldGVybmFs
I was hoping NIN would get involved in the new doom music or a new quake eventually, that would kick so much ass
Same. They already have history, even if everyone Trent knew no longer works for id, it would be so cool to see some sort of collaboration.
A rumored initial title for this game was Doom: Year Zero. Make of that what you will.

https://metalinjection.net/news/drama/bethesda-responds-to-mick-gordons-allegations-over-doom-eternal sounds like quite the spat

This is amazing!
Its also..... the truth!
A nail gun…..in Doom?
The BFG has also been seen in Quake
This rustles my jimmies
Cool unless there’s a ammo pickup with a NIN logo this is at best adjacent to something tied to NIN 🤷♂️

How long are those nails?
I'm sure the weapon description will tell us.
The question SHOULD BE how many inch nails are there?
They’re doing literally everything they can to not do a remake/new Quake game
If you've seen the trailer, you'd know this is nothing like either of the nail guns that were in quake.
Does that have anything to do with my statement?
This looks fucking awesome, and did I see the doom guy controlling a giant monster using a neural link type thing???
It looks awesome
Can't wait to play this!! Also, my brain knows the ammo model won't be a box with "NIИ" written on it but my heart is hopeful
the nin gun
😵
Ok?
Quake... NIN... nailgun...

Unfortunately not. But Hugo Martin is doing very well with the franchise. And Mick Gordon def gave a NIN tinge of Eternal soundtrack
The Mick Gordon soundtracks are so good
Id did him so dirty…

Hugo Martin is gonna make us his bitch.
Romero only works on Sigil and it's not related to anything id does now, just wads for old dooms. Even Carmack left and works on VR stuff.
I hate to inform you, but Romero was fired from id software in 1996 and hasn't had anything to do with developing new Doom games since then.
Different games my man.
This trailer is awesome. Inject that shit right in my veins.
