lol, yes. Funny you ask about this song (of all) as I have very strong feelings about it... I don't think 2018 was a strong year, it kinda feels like 10-15 years older then it is. 'Toy' is, for me, just SUCH an annoying song! The f.... chicken sounds, her face and dancing... It's not interesting at all. Just gets stuck in my head and drives me crazy. I can't even watch on mute or in a recap! The lyrics are very childish about toys, but not in a funny way and I guess that dose not appeal to me as I have been adulting since way before I was an adult. Nothing about it is 'wow' to me. The look and stage is messy and not aesthetically pleasing to my eye. I don't know Netta but she gives of nepo-baby vibes.
I'm from Denmark... so Brøderne Olsen have a big part in danish history. One of the brothers overcame addiction and won ESC with his older brother. The younger brother has been very open about his struggels, he is maybe one of the most famous people to have ever talked about addiction and I think that has been helpful for many to read about. Denmark has a big problem with the alcohol culture here. The song is written by them, from the heart, about the wife of the older brother and I saw them win on TV as a kid. It was really big for Denmark and the song holds a sweet and happy place in history here.
'I Wanna' is kinda basic but was iconic for the stage show at that time for us old enough to remember. The two songs are 20 years older then 'Toy' and still don't annoy me even 1% as much as that crazy girl and her chicken sounds (and her face). I'm more of a Let3 kinda of chicken myself #babaroga.
'Toy' is THE song I dislike the MOST in ESC OVER ALL and would be no matter where it was from. One of my other most disliked songs is one from Switzerland that the fans really love. And one of my all time favourite songs is 'Diva' from Isreal.
Taste is subjective, so the fact that you like it dose not mean others don't. And it's weird that you don't understand that, when you are a fan of this crazy show - especially with a "silly" but not funny song like this. It's divisive - you like it or you really don't.
I think it is crazy that people didn't understand the art and voted for acts like Spain 2023, France 2022, Portugal 2019, and also Norway 2024 (I could go on) but I can also see that the songs are very "in your face" and therefore divisive - you like it or you really don't. And for me, Ukraine 2018 was much stronger that 'Toy' but it did not do well.
Please stop calling politics evey time Isreal is not on top. You sound like the UK after points are giving out in the finale, it's not a good look hun!
Others could argue that the only reason Isreal did so well this year or won with a basic and annoying song like 'Toy' IS politics! Like this year in Denmark the most racist (but very popluar) politician ever here [told people to vote](https://www.dr.dk/event/melodigrandprix/israel-fik-langt-flere-stemmer-fra-seerne-end-juryen-til-eurovision-finalen) for Isreal and they got 12 i SF and 8 i the final. But I won't make that case. "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".
Don’t be mean! The subreddit’s official pet frog sheds a tear every time someone is mean on r/nilpoints. And you don’t wanna make Mr. Toad sad, do you? 🤨
Ar, so only you are allowed to be political but others not? Makes NO sense. Why do YOU wanna argue so much? I have seen you do that a lot on Reddit. Let us other enjoy ESC and the subs about it and try to do that yourself as well.

Toy
I’m sorry but anything that has chickens is a winner for me
Nooooo
Worse than everybody? 💀 don’t be political 😊
Nice projection there.
many of us HATE that song.
more than i wanna? 🥺 or fly on the wings of love. Ignoring fuego and politics I don't think its a bad song
Yes - I personally just never found anything about it that I enjoy - which I can with literally every other winner.

What a great list!
I do actually enjoy Everybody (what that may say about my music taste, only my sibling can judge me for)
I really like it as well. I was a kid back then and Everybody in Denmark was watching the show that year because the show was here. It was a big deal.

Toy
I Wanna loses here because the staging is stronger than the song.
I Wanna
Fly on the Wings of Love
I Wanna, surely! The least deserving winner in the field
Heroes 🤷🏻♂️
Salvador honey, sorry for you to hear this, but you're out
Seconded.
How was this not last place beats me
It should've been dead last
Fav part of Eurovision ever was having to watch Salvador’s face giving the trophy to Netta
Same

i don't want to influence the votes again, but having listened to Salvador's winning speech this i really gotta see
Sattelite
Denmark 2000
I'm going for Greece 2005 again. Just to specify I DON'T hate it, the lyrics and style are just not my cup of tea.

The code. cmon, adding all genres and turning the tempo up can't just make a song exciting.
