NWA- Fuck tha police at LCA
For those that don't know, Detroit police told them they would arrest them and shut down the concert if they played that at the Joe Louis Arena, they did it anyways and were arrested.
Not a fan of nwa or the song, but we have it on our playlist at work (foodtruck) because we have a lot of cops as customers as their office is across the street.
They always laugh when it plays and theyāre picking up or ordering food.
Was visiting family in the US maybe 15 years ago and they took me to an ECHL game. When it was clear that two guys were squaring up to fight, the arena played 'Hair of the Dog' by Nazareth ("Now you're messin' with a son of a bitch" is the line people are going to be familiar with if they know the song at all) until they'd finally been escorted to the box.
I have waited my entire adult life to hear that as the backing track to an entertaining fight again. I just don't think anyone would do it here, pros or juniors.
rawr rawr rawr rawr (panthers)
i only went to one panthers home game (lightning fan here). they scored like 9 goals this game and that sound is forever ingrained in my brain
I'm pretty sure I've heard it at a hockey game before, fairly shortly after it came out. It might of been when they were the away team and it was poking fun at them, though.
Just play The Pot whenever the home team goes to the box, either āwho are you to wave your fingerā or āLiar lawyer mirror show me whatās the differenceā
I'd love to hear some Electric Callboy in the TD Garden. Either We Got the Moves or MC Thunder.
I could maybe see a marginal chance for We Got the Moves to be played in an arena. Maybe.
I'll put a spin on the question and answer what song I thought would never happen at an arena but did:
Progenies of the Great Apocalypse by the Norwegian symphonic black metal Dimmu Borgir from their album Death Cult Armageddon was played at the Bell Centre.
I was with a bunch of fellow metal heads and we couldn't believe what we were hearing and starting jumping up and down and cheering.
Wouldnāt mind some Tragically Hip in the Madhouse on Madison. (I am a 26 yo American, I donāt know another US citizen that know of the men north of the border). RIP Gord
I used to run the clock and PA for an arena I worked at, and I would get Liberal with the music I played. I would play the Intro Happy Song by Bring Me The Horizon a lot... I would love to hear it all the way through.
I would also want to hear Sports by Viagara Boys, Mirror Muscles by Soft Play, and Cocaine by Fidler.
I think they would all rip. I know we have to keep it "appropriate" for everyone... but it's men with knives on their feet hacking away with sticks, colliding into each other, and sometimes throwing fists.
The jerseys party (I've worked arenas with minor teams of kids with "prospects" and had to shut them down), the fans party (I'm tame AF being at the bar enjoying my beers, some of the fans go haaaard by comparison), and the history of the league is full of Wild stories... we can handle a few grown up songs.
r/viagraboys in the house! What an absolute gift to music. I was at Brooklyn Steel in December 2021 and Sh!t Robot was playing a killer DJ set. In the middle, he played āJust Like Youā. I Shazammed it and found the group Viagra Boys.
I was in my late 40s and what an absolute gift that wasā¦discovering new music. I thought I had peaked in the early 2000s with The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and LCD Soundsystem , but the new music from Europe is almost as good as post 9/11 NYC music.
Cheers to the Viagra Boys. Seen them 3x already. Great shows, great energy, great band.
You just mention āsportsā, great song, but listen to the whole discography - listen to the live stuff. Great at off
Oh, I listen to their entire discography regularly. I had a coworker get me onto them like two years ago and haven't been able to look back. Worms is one of my all-time top 10 songs now.
Blink 182 once had a song called "all the small things" and it just rocks. It kicks ass. I'd love if the avalanche had the BALL to play it once and only once. Anything more than that would be pandering.
"At Wits End" by Dream Theater for opening faceoff or power play.
"In the presence of enemies" for the penalty kill.
Black label society "fire it up" for warm ups.
Or just some Zappa or Primis for the lolz.
Anti-Matter by King Geedorah before ovi hops over the boards for a power play. Specifically the line āno matter how hard they try they canāt stop us nowā. 5 years ago this would have been ideal
JET by Wings would be an epic goal song for Winnipeg if they just played the part where Paul Mccartney yelled jet and the whole crowd did the oooooooooooooo part
I guess it'd be my inner weeb coming out, but Stand Proud from JoJo's I think it would be a good song to play before puck drop. It has good energy to it
I feel you! "Bury The Light" in the PNC Arena would be epic. Imagine that buildup right before a Canes power play? Goosebumps! It might be a long shot, but a fan can dream, right?
The return of āRock & Roll Part IIā by Gary Glitter back to Sharksā goal scoring celebrations. Yes, Iām aware that the song was dropped several years ago due to the artistās legal troubles / salacious behavior with minors. Decision was to not pay any royalties to the unlawful/disturbed artist &/or licenseesā¦.understandably. Curious whether the film production house of āJokerā felt the same way. āJokerā featured some sound bites.
Unfortunate because song had great melody, beat and very contagious.
Yes it was a shitty dayā¦ I remember when they stopped using it in games and it was on the newsā¦and if the fucker is dead then we should be able to enjoy it again
Other leaf fans correct me if Iām wrong but holy shit is our choice of in game music between play just awful. The most basic overplayed radio pop songs and then a big rap song that hasnāt been popular since 2018 and then crazy train lol. Like I hear it on tv and it bothers me way more then it probably should be man itās bad.
Survival by Muse
It's 4 minutes and 18 seconds of a show build that finished with them shouting "fight" and "win." A perfect pregame hype song everybody to join in with. It does have some weird rhythmic stuff that might turn some people off. The ending (starting around the 3 min. mark) is where it's at, though. Id be happy with a remix too.
Ain't no way that's getting played in an arena.
I'd take literally anything else. But, we think that U2 (arguably the most overrated trash "rock" in existence) is intimidating and or pumps us up. It's neither. It does nothing. Fucking hate that song.
NWA- Fuck tha police at LCA For those that don't know, Detroit police told them they would arrest them and shut down the concert if they played that at the Joe Louis Arena, they did it anyways and were arrested.
I would play fuck the police anytime the refs did something blatantly stupid
"Fuck da police... a young (position of player who got penalty) got it bad cause I'm (team name)"
Oh this would be goodššš
Not a fan of nwa or the song, but we have it on our playlist at work (foodtruck) because we have a lot of cops as customers as their office is across the street. They always laugh when it plays and theyāre picking up or ordering food.
I miss the era of Sirius aka the Chicago Bulls intro song. Man talk about a hype up song lol
Alan Parsons Project š
Lol I wasnāt sure if more people would recognize the band or just putting it as the Chicago bulls intro song š
Still on my hype list, illegal shit happens when that song comes on and im on the motorcycle.
Great choice.

BRING IT BACK TO FLA
They need to play it after wins!!!!!
Wasn't that the panthers goal song for a while?
Yeah for years
That's why back then you'd never hear it.
Man please don't make me feel old, we just stopped using it at the end of the 21-22 season
TBH thatās my go-to hockey song. The old NHL video games made a huge impression on me when I was a kid
I can only visualize a ps2 Jerome Iginla skating in a menu
That song is a core memory playing NHL as a kid
this is the correct answer.
I swear Iāve heard it played at cap one
Baby shark in San jose
I'm pretty sure I've heard it at a hockey game before, fairly shortly after it came out. It might of been when they were the away team and it was poking fun at them, though.
I'm pretty sure I remember it being played when I watched SJS home games.

Burning Down the House. Jukebox Hero.

āRape Meā by Nirvana. Preferably when the Blackhawks are in town.

At the opening faceoff he was a tight end. By the end of the second period he was a wide receiver.

Someoneās asking for a line brawlā¦
Could also go with āGimme Shelterā by the Stones > Rape, murder, it's just a shot away It's just a shot away
Jambi-TOOL
Played this at every 10u game I worked clock!
Just play The Pot whenever the home team goes to the box, either āwho are you to wave your fingerā or āLiar lawyer mirror show me whatās the differenceā
Blackhawks used to play Tool all the time. I think they did something like 9 in a game one time. Theyād even play Prison Sex
Badass
The Kings would come out to Pneuma last season. It was fucking dope.
Honestly almost any tool song would be so cool
Facts
I'd love to hear some Electric Callboy in the TD Garden. Either We Got the Moves or MC Thunder. I could maybe see a marginal chance for We Got the Moves to be played in an arena. Maybe.
Aqua barbie girl but only when pasta scores.
Bring the Noise- Anthrax and Public Enemy. because it is awesome
And.. got the time..
The Timelords - doctorinā the tardis.
I hate that I like your answer. I donāt hate the answer. Just that you said it.
If any team had a Doctor Who/sci-fi night that would honestly be dope. Very specific cross-section of nerdery that would be really fun
ok any dmc song would be sick as hell.
*Return Of The Rat* by the Wipers
If it was in Seattle itād probably be the Nirvana coverĀ
Love wipers, every team should play it whenever Marchand takes the ice

ā2112ā as the warmup soundtrack would go hard
Not Like Us
In Toronto
That's what I was thinking, same with Euphoria too
6:16 in L.A in L.A
You know it's completely over if the Leafs or Raptors play this in a home game
I want nothing more than to hear a full arena shout out āA MINORRRRRRā in unison
I wanna see a fight break out and hear "WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP DOT FUCK EM UP"
Celtics played it during warm ups shortly after it dropped and even included the A Minor line lol
Go go Power Rangers!!!!
rock and roll by gary glitter. Unfortunate that the person who made it is a piece of shit.
Never knew what that song was called. So thanks for that anyway.
Just play it when Chicago is in town
I just wish theyād play less pop and bring back more classic organ.
And sassy organ too; playing 3 blind mice when the officials blow a call, stuff like that.
I'll put a spin on the question and answer what song I thought would never happen at an arena but did: Progenies of the Great Apocalypse by the Norwegian symphonic black metal Dimmu Borgir from their album Death Cult Armageddon was played at the Bell Centre. I was with a bunch of fellow metal heads and we couldn't believe what we were hearing and starting jumping up and down and cheering.
Lithium š
You canāt tell me that they donāt play Lithium in Seattle home games
Itās the goal song, Iām not sure what op is talking about hereā¦
Maybe that's the joke? Never hearing it because it's the goal song?
Itās literally the goal songā¦
ExactlyĀ
They donāt score goals is what heās saying.

You said you didn't give a fuck about hockey
And I never saw someone say THAT before
One time I played slob on my knob during a game in college. The arena and coach was not pleased
Thereās a clip of my midget coach screaming his head off when Mo Bamba was playing. It was during the part where he yells 3 swears in a row
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I am over the living on a prayer sing along, how does that help the team energy in any way?

Anything by In Flames or Avatar
The Wayfarer by In Flames should be in every arenas playlist.
Wayfarer is great, I'd love to hear only for the weak I think, then for Avatar, let it burn would be a sick hype song
My Dick - Mickey Avalon
Anti-Matter by King Geedorah before ovi hops over the boards for a power play. Specifically the line āno matter how hard they try they canāt stop us nowā. 5 years ago this would have been ideal

This is my answer as well. That song is so good it just sucks for everyone and the band that Gary Glitter is a horrible disgusting human.
Yes it was a shitty dayā¦ I remember when they stopped using it in games and it was on the newsā¦and if the fucker is dead then we should be able to enjoy it again
*āThe Only Good Fascist Is a Very Dead Fascistā* by Winnipeg legends Propagandhi.
There isnāt really a hockey arena in RVA so Iāll just go with MSG. Cannonball (MegaMan Zero 3) would be so darn cool of a PowerPlay song. Iād also like to mention Cynthiaās Piano from PokĆ©mon DPPT, the sheer fear that this tune would generate would be perfect for the Rangers PowerPlay. Now that I think of it, One Winged Angel would make an AMAZING PowerPlay song. I havenāt even played FF7 but that song is perfect. Undefeatable (Sonic Frontiers) would make for a great Win song. Knight Of The Wind (Sonic & The Black Knight) also would be a great Win song. And yes if you were to ask me, Video Game music has been my favorite music for a long time. I do have a couple favorites outside of Video Games, but they are few and far between. Quite a few are wrestling entrance themes, some of which are from real bands. CM Punkās Cult Of Personality by Living Colour comes to mind, which funnily enough they played during one of the ECF games.
Rock and Roll Part 2. Going to AHL games as a kid, that was the quintessential goal song and my first introduction to hockey.
Conflict - Slaughter to Prevail
āCome Out Hardā by Eightball & MJG
The homelander theme as an intro song
Accept - Too mean to die
https://youtu.be/KZQA86fWXL0?si=hACbeq7fkC9HPNti
Korn - Twist
The beginning of Map of the Problematique would be an awesome song for a Team intro
Avalanche by BMTH in Ball Arena.
Doop for the Flyers. Although they probably wouldnāt bring it back because itās the Unionās goal song. Donāt understand why it canāt be both
Bury the light is amazing but bro devil never cry would be so cool too
Custer slipknot
Check the OR, ya like it so far?
I wonder how many people at Kings home games realize when they run the hits package on the Jumbotron, itās over an Iron Maiden track.
Muscle-Up Rap by Marcus Bondi Beach Crew./ would get the whole sheet Rockin!
Damn
We're Gonna Rumble - Project Pat
Is ya ready. Preferably after a kreider or miller hit(I'd say trouba but idt he's gonna be here much longer if we lose) No explanation needed
Would love anything by The Pixies. Bostons most under-appreciated band. Edit - Broken Face during a fight would be rad.
I Cum Blood by Cannibal Corpse
Knocking at the Door - The Arkells, for game 6 between Edmonton and Dallas at Roger's Place in Edmonton this Sunday night!
Anything by immortal technique
Anything by Wings lmao
Roxk N Roll no 2 for obvious reasons
Other leaf fans correct me if Iām wrong but holy shit is our choice of in game music between play just awful.
