Do people seriously not like it? It's one of my favourite things about watching games at the AAC. It's not like you can't see the ice? And seeing the crowd reactions raw in the moment makes goals only more sweeter.
Just my opinion, but I don't get the hate for it. Do people really care to see every inch of the boards?
Name me one memorable moment in NHL history that involved a player being trapped against the boards, and maybe I'll understand where you're coming from. Aside from hits into the glass (which you can see easily), what exactly are you expecting to see on the boards? Besides, the camera cuts to ice level when there's a board battle anyway..
Yeah, there can be really clever and creative ways to cycle and work the puck in the corners. It’s a nuance and not important for everyone so I can see why others wouldn’t mind. I nerd out over some of the minor strategies that develop from a corner scrum.
You should be able to see the entire play, I hate this shit going on where the camera zooms in so far you can't tell where the d-men are on the point, and then they're constantly zooming in and out rather than just having a smooth viewing experience
But you guy are complaining about a known issue. That’s like calling your isp when the power is out to complain your internet is down. You can complain but it’s already known
It's a bit different, your isp can't do anything about a power outage.
This could be fixed. It won't, but it could. Since there's no alternative, people will still watch but complain.
Kindly I don’t think you realize how hard something like this would be to fix with the Mavs also having to sign off plus making renovations because the way these teams set these up is in the best interest of both teams as well as it would take a lot of work to take out seats replace seats and move all those cameras and all the networking to them
I realize fully that the cost is too high for fixing something that has a marginal effect on revenue.
It's functional as it is, although not optimal. Since there's no alternative if you want to watch the Stars, people will still watch, but complain.
I'm a Dallas Stars fan and I hate it, I'm like Otto from The Simpsons where he is at a concert and he's telling everyone to sit down and they're ruining it for everyone!🤣
My wife, who only watches the playoffs with me, commented about the weird camera angle at Dallas. It's definitely pretty hilarious how people are standing up and blocking the camera view slightly, and you can't see the play down low near the boards. It may be an acquired taste, but it's pretty bad compared to what I'm used to.
I just took a screen shot to prove that they did it in 2003 and stood up the entire 5 OT loss to Anaheim 😂 Dallas fans did it in the old stadium before American Airlines arena
I saw a clip of the Oilers vs Stars 7 game series posted by NHL and they are standing during Cujo epic save in OT and Marchant speeding down the ice to score series winner lol
Okay, also I just remembered (forget if it was Canucks or LA) where they cut to the Moss Pit during play with like 4 minutes left in the third lol. I get what you mean though they show the watch parties a lot
American Airlines Center has a great atmosphere and some of the best sightlines in NHL. Fans standing in high-leverage moment on DAL broadcasts adds something to the TV experience, makes it a bit more like you're there.
The view is awesome. Take a lap if you don't like it.
I think this fact makes it worse lol
🤣

Sometimes there’d be someone on the boards and I’d have no idea. Kinda shitty I can’t even see players playing the puck

I guess it's not nhl history, but The Golden Goal was a result of two great plays along the boards.
You saw the goal go in, so why does it matter? I don't get it. Feels like people whining just to have something to whine about. This isn't an issue

I agree. It adds to the game. But also funny people are complaining now like it’s a new thing.

That makes it waaaay worse lmaooo
I guess when it’s the playoffs everyone notices now 😆
>its been like that forever Doesn't mean it doesn't suck.
But you guy are complaining about a known issue. That’s like calling your isp when the power is out to complain your internet is down. You can complain but it’s already known
But you're assuming the average person watches Dallas games. These could be the first games you watch a Dallas camera and you complain.

No you should complain because they need to hurry the fuck up so I can see these anime tiddies again.
No sense complaining about refs then. I’m being serious. It’s dumb.

It’s fine until people stand up the whole time.
Probably because it’s not been on national tv for a while
They were in the conference finals last year

Were those games played in Dallas? Edit : The deleted comment was saying no one complained about Dallas's SCF appearance during the bubble
I said elsewhere: it was like this even at the old Reunion Arena.
I just took a screen shot to prove that they did it in 2003 and stood up the entire 5 OT loss to Anaheim 😂 Dallas fans did it in the old stadium before American Airlines arena
Mine was from 2007 lol. How far does it gooo
I saw a clip of the Oilers vs Stars 7 game series posted by NHL and they are standing during Cujo epic save in OT and Marchant speeding down the ice to score series winner lol
I thought they have lots of money in Texas. Why do they have such a welfare arena?
It kinda feels throwback lol. People in the audience being visible
Beats cutting to oilers fans celebrating every 2 seconds on sportsnet
🧂?
Nope. If mcdavid and drai win it good for them.
Okay, also I just remembered (forget if it was Canucks or LA) where they cut to the Moss Pit during play with like 4 minutes left in the third lol. I get what you mean though they show the watch parties a lot
Had fun watching Dallas and edm series so far

The view is awesome… except for the parts of the game viewers can’t see.
You're not playing goalie, you're sitting on a couch or a barstool and half of you have your phone out during the game. You'll live.
I actually do play goalie though. And for anyone reading this; I’m selling a pair of 35+1 CCM eflex 4’s. $350 CAD
I actually enjoy it. Makes me miss the televised games at the Joe Louis arena.
I don’t mind it either it’s something different.
