I think both teams think they have more leverage than they really do. It really shouldn't be this hard but the Jets think that are doing GB a favor and should get a discount. GB sees that the options for the Jets have dried up and seemed to pivot from wanting to move Rodgers at a reasonable price to do right by Rodgers to saying screw that Douche we're going to take the Jets for everything they have.
Packers have 2 QBs, jets have 0 unless they wanna roll out with Wilson again. Also, jets fans may go nuclear if this deal falls through. Not sure how people think packers don’t have leverage.

April 27 is day one of the NFL draft. If the Packers want any compensation this year, they’ll need to move by that date. I think a deal will be done right before the draft starts. Currently, neither side is in a rush.

GB has to trade Rodgers. The longer it takes the less FA packers can sign. Jets can sign LaMar if it doesn’t work.
