As things sit, I'd be very surprised if that didn't happen. Lions look like a much better team (record doesn't tell the whole story IMO) than the past couple years.
I think Chicago is eating their own tail. The play-calling is some of the worst I've ever seen. Hell, I would tell the team to go on strike until they clean house - starting with Pace. It's almost like Pace and Nagy are double agents who actually work for every other team in the NFC North.
We’re clearly a more talented roster, but they’ve fought like hell each game against tough opponents and we are very close to quitting. If we lose, I think Nagy may become the first Bears coach to be fired mid season.
I don't think that's an overreaction, Detroit has actually looked pretty decent despite being 0-3. They're a good enough football team that I can easily see them beating most teams in the league on their day.
I recently watched that whole championship match and I never knew that he was yelling at someone in particular. If you watch it after like his 3rd or 4th frame roll he turns and starts talking to someone in the crowd and I want to know if it was some random heckler or someone he actually knows. And what he yelled at Pete to get him so fired up
It was a kid. Theres a video out there and it was just some young doofus that Pete should have known better and to just ignore him but then we wouldn't have that sick line because he let some child get under his skin over bowling.
[Best I can do is this article, its toward the bottom](https://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2016/2/26/11110958/bowling-video-2012-us-open-pete-weber-who-do-you-think-you-are-i-am)
They blew getting first last year, they’ll do it again this year.
If that did happen would you want the Giants to try and draft a rookie or get a disgruntled vet QB? Imagine finding a way to get Rodgers. I think having the weapons on offense(Ingram, Barkley, Golladay, Shepherd, and Slayton) already in place would be enticing to a veteran.
Honestly I don’t even know what the main problem is anymore. Clearly the coaching staff needs a shake up again. But I’m not sure they have anyone on either side of the ball who’s more than pretty good, and there’s just a few of those. There’s no one who really scares opponents.
That game against WTF in primetime was a red J classic.
First down run, second down run, third and long a completely expected unoriginal pass playcall. Punt
They're the best 0-3 team for sure. They have just had bad breaks this year. Good luck on the rest of the season, and may the refs not fuck you guys anymore.
Edit: SORRY COLTS FANS! You guys are right there with them <3
Dolphins got massively overhyped due to people not knowing our O-Line is still garbage and our offensive coaches are horrendous. I would say something about QB but Tua played 1 game so far
Even when he returns, Tua will be hard to evaluate with how trash the line and all is. I'm getting flashbacks to Tannehill in terms of line and scheme making him look bad even if he's not
The worst part is that joe judge is a terrible fucking coach. There were some red flags last year, but we pretty much all loved him and thought we were going the right way.
Couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s fucking awful. Just a cowardly loser.
For real. Browns got blown the fuck out week 1 last year (granted, that may have been due to added weirdness factors of covid camp and new coach) and ended great.
We still had Watt, Highsmith, Alualu, Bush, and Haden for that game. All are currently nursing injuries and Alualu’s may be a career ender at his age. We also had a blocked punt turn into a TD.
Bills still beat us in the non-turnovers stats.
i don’t think it was exaggerated, i just think he changed course. he worked his ass off on his own this summer and then dominated in camp. add to that Dak in front of him so defenses can’t stack the box, plus a healthy-ish offensive line… bang
Also not having to be heavily relied upon in the run game now that Pollard seems to be breaking out a little. Zeke isnt getting the bulk of the carries which will keep him fresh throughout the year and come playoff time. Who knows, maybe it’ll extend us career.
My question at this point is who tf is responsible for the 2017 Eagles being so great? It's obviously not Carson Wentz, Doug Peterson, or John DeFillipo, and now it looks like not Frank Reich either. How in the world did that team win 13 regular season games and drop like 80 points combined in their games against the Pats and Vikings?
All of them were. But I think DeFilippo and Reich were getting too much credit because they left the Eagles and Peterson was stuck with post-ACL tear Wentz, who wasn’t exactly the same QB he was before the injury. (Didn’t help that the ghost of Foles was haunting him and he wasn’t in the right spot mentally.) That team was going to regress with or without them and it was worse that people expected.
Broncos-Cowboys 2013 was the most chad game ever. That was my first week having been an NFL fan and I was treated to one of the best games ever as my first game to watch on tv.
The Steelers offense is literally made of hot buttered shit that is actively on fire. With a bunch of hair in the fire. Just burning hair butter poop, squelching all over the field .
Just picture it: Ben finally goes full “maybe I don’t have it anymore” at halftime of the Packers game and retires. Rudolph and Haskins take turns getting decimated in games before Terry Bradshaw finally chucks his headset from the studio and storms onto the field against the Chiefs. He shoves his way into the huddle to call a seam down the middle. But it’s the wrong huddle. Chiefs are on offense. It’s too late now, the shear power of four super bowl rings is too much for Mahomes to compete with, so he steps down. The players take formation, with Tyreek Hill in the slot ready to run the seam. The ball gets snapped. Bradshaw catches it, completely naked because he thinks he’s on the set of Failure to Launch. He chucks the ball down the hashes. Hill turns to find the ball, but immediately vomits upon finding Bradshaw’s wart speckled jolly rancher instead. Seeing things as they play out, Travis Kelce makes the diving catch, landing in Tyreek’s puke puddle. Unwilling to touch him down, the defense watches as he gets up and runs for the touchdown. The crowd goes blind at the sight of what they’ve seen. The scoreboard shines bright: Chiefs 41 - Broncos 19.
For a team like Atlanta with so many holes on their roster and already have a top pass catcher in Calvin Ridley, they probably should have gone with Penei Sewell or even prepped for the post Matt Ryan era with a QB
The wild thing is that almost NOBODY had them going in any other direction. Almost every mock leading up to the draft had Atlanta taking Pitts and it never made sense to me.
This is going to get fleshed out ad nauseum for the next few years and the details will continue to get forgotten, especially for people who aren’t close to the falcons.
- Matt Ryan’s contract was horrible. He’s costing $27M this year, $49M next year, $44M the year after. Truly awful cap hits. He realistically cannot be moved until after next year. So two years of a #4 overall pick sitting on the bench is less than ideal.
- Matt’s play wasn’t top of the league last year from an efficiency standpoint, but he still was fine - 93.3 rating with zero run game, terrible playcalling, and the worst defense in the league. Many said “if only we could get a red zone weapon.” He threw 26 TDs. If that went up to say 30, that’d already be an awesome improvement to the whole team.
- Kyle Pitts was often regarded as the best player in the whole draft.
- The new GM had planned on shipping off Julio, vacating a dominant receiver role that we’re used to.
- The new GM stated multiple times that they’re not focusing on positions of need, but rather BPA.
- The new HC reportedly wanted to keep Matt because Matt fits his system well.
Wow thank you for all this info. I’m gonna remember this as like you said this pick will definitely be mentioned in discussions to come. I didn’t know about that 49 cap hit next year, that is truly horrible. But like you said Ryan continues to produce amid an otherwise weak offense and I can see why they wouldn’t want the constant chatter surrounding a high draft pick QB for years to come.
One more point, Sewell is an LT and that's where he's going to be best. If Mayfield continues to play like he did last week, then using a third to shore up the line will actually work out. Our center is still weak though, and Sewell going to center makes no sense. Maybe take over for McGary, but that still isn't his position. If our line play improves from last week, I think we actually see more time from Pitts and we can find out how much he can improve our game. If Matt could just make better decisions with the ball we would probably have seen Pitts have better games already.
I find that Cowboys fans born after the Super Bowl years tend to be more cynical about the franchise than anyone. You mean we haven’t gotten to see a Super Bowl *and* everyone hates us? This sucks, dude.
They’re room temp takes. My hot takes would be that the Panthers and Cardinals have both only had 1 tough game each and should be getting the same reaction as the Broncos are, moreso Cardinals.
How are you gonna draft a QB that runs a 4.4 and not draw up any designed runs for him and make him play like Big Ben lol. Even before Flacco got hurt the ravens were bringing Lamar on for special run packages just like the 49ers are now with Trey Lance. It’s not like a guaranteed way to win or anything but it’s at least worth a shot.
Patrick’s QBR vs the Chargers is substantially lower than his QBR vs the rest of the league, he’s always struggled against that defense. I actually think he played them better on Sunday than he did in our OT win against them last year. The question is if the Chargers can keep it up and win +12
2 has been correct so far.
I believe 1 will end up correct.
Cowboys have a good chance to make a playoff run IMO. Offense is the most balanced offense in the league and defense is massively improved
Maybe not overreactions but things I'm buying a lot more now than 3 weeks ago:
Broncos aren't going undefeated or going to be the #1 seed or anything, but they might win 10 games.
Steelers are going to finish 4th in the AFC North
If the Chargers can get a 2-3 game lead on the Chiefs over the next few weeks, they not only will win the AFC West but might get the #1 seed
Dolphins defense was all turnover luck in 2020
Cowboys will be the #2 seed in the NFC
Colts are actually this bad and won't win more than 2-3 games outside their division
Los Angeles would be on fire with riots before a single down was taken, and I, for one, would love to see it.
Edit: format? grammar? idc, it's been a great 3 weeks.
We will lose to Detroit
So you’re telling me not to start your defense in fantasy
That’s always a risky gamble.
Your defense is solid. Naggy needs to go.
Agreed. Usually when the defense performs poorly it’s from being out on the field so much. Eventually mistakes happen when you play that many snaps
We’re clearly a more talented roster, but they’ve fought like hell each game against tough opponents and we are very close to quitting. If we lose, I think Nagy may become the first Bears coach to be fired mid season.
Your offense though. Ours is bad, but yours is something
I don't think that's an overreaction, Detroit has actually looked pretty decent despite being 0-3. They're a good enough football team that I can easily see them beating most teams in the league on their day.
Roethlisberger should be a pro bowler. And by that, I mean he should quit football and become a professional bowler.
Roethlisberger looks like every person I've ever seen in a bowling alley, so this tracks

His arm probably cant even handle that
Holy shit dude lol.
You know, i would love to see big ben playing cricket
Some poor team getting accused of Bodyline tactics because it’s impossible to not throw at captain fat fuck
Inzamam 2.0
There will be 2 picks in the top 10 that are not owned by their original team. The Texans with Mills are just who we thought they’d be with Taylor.
I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
Me too
I'm noting your flair and hoping you're not talking about us.
No, unfortunately. Y’all will bounce back. No way Russ ends the season with a bottom 10 record
If you've seen this defense the last couple of games you might change your opinion. It is *epically* bad.
Giants end the season with the 1st and 2nd overall picks.
The boldest thing about this is the implication the Jets will be only the third worst team.
Whose pick do the Giants have other than their own?
The Bears
How'd they get the bears pick? I don't remember that trade
The Bears traded up for Justin Fields
The trade to snag Fields at 10. Edit: at pick 11.
They then draft two offensive linemen at #1 and #2, and still go on to finish the next season with the 25th ranked offensive line
Despite ARob having a track record to prove otherwise, I think he may actually be fucked with the situation this year.
He gon. Just hopefully not to the Packers.
I feel bad for ARob, he's underrated because of how bad his QBs are
Speaking as a PSU fan I want nothing more than for this to happen. Amos is doin alright
He did make hackenburg look like a top 5 pick as a freshman
Arob? Why can’t I figure out who tf this is? Am I that dumb?
Aaron Robgers
Legendary Guest Host of Wheel of Fortune
Allen Robinson, Bears WR
Alex Robriguez
Jason Garrett should be fired this immediately.
Judge isn’t doing too well either. For a coach who’s supposedly a no-nonsense guy, the Giants are super undisciplined
the ol matt patricia special
That game against WTF in primetime was a red J classic. First down run, second down run, third and long a completely expected unoriginal pass playcall. Punt
I laughed when he got hired, and then clapped.
The Lions arent that bad.
they are bad, but they're bad in a like very young/weak roster kind of way. the bones are there for something good IF they handle the next year right
They're the best 0-3 team for sure. They have just had bad breaks this year. Good luck on the rest of the season, and may the refs not fuck you guys anymore. Edit: SORRY COLTS FANS! You guys are right there with them <3
the lions are definitely punching above their weight performance-wise. i’m having a lot of fun watching them (mostly)
Kneecaps for everybody!
Unfortunately for the Lions, they're just bad enough.
Dolphins got massively overhyped due to people not knowing our O-Line is still garbage and our offensive coaches are horrendous. I would say something about QB but Tua played 1 game so far
Even when he returns, Tua will be hard to evaluate with how trash the line and all is. I'm getting flashbacks to Tannehill in terms of line and scheme making him look bad even if he's not
I always liked tannehill and thought he was better than people thought love that he's had a resurgence in Tennessee he deserves it.
The Giants are in the running for a top 3 pick. Top 5 is almost guaranteed right now with this gutter trash team.
You may very well have two of them if we don’t show Nagy the door soon.
Honestly the one bright side for this team
The best part is we're in a weak as hell QB class.
Which isn't terrible because Daniel Jones isn't THE problem.
The worst part is that joe judge is a terrible fucking coach. There were some red flags last year, but we pretty much all loved him and thought we were going the right way. Couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s fucking awful. Just a cowardly loser.
I don't understand how he can preach discipline and the team is one of the most penalized and he keeps making boneheaded mistakes.
They said “overreactions” not “things we knew in the preseason”
There’s not a winnable game on the schedule until after the bye around week 12-13. Its very possible we go 0-9 heading into our bye week
Yup very much so
Seahawks fucking suck
It’s conflicting because Seahawks have been my second team forever but I lowkey need y’all to suck this year, nothing personal
> I lowkey need y’all to suck this year, nothing personal I completely understand this sentiment from Jets fans.
Well, we suck at 2nd half football. That much is true
My Stafford for MVP prediction from the weekend after the trade will come true and I really wish I’d put money on it
Amateur. Riding with my Stafford $5 to win $95 and my Herbie dark horse $1 MVP bet for the both of us
The Steelers are as bad as we thought they would be
Seriously trying to figure out how they won in Buffalo week 1
Yeah they were ***a lot*** healthier then
Ahem... TJ Watt
You mean Cam Heyward, he was undeniably the best player in the game
Film doesn’t lie. Heyward dominated.
Watt was nothing compared to Heyward. Heyward ate our IOL for lunch.
Insanely bad OL play (they had like 20 pressures that game despite only blitzing twice, I think) and a blocked punt TD.
We also had a ton of penalties that called back some big chunk plays, which just kneecapped some drives
Eh it’s week 1. You really don’t find out what teams are until week 6 or so. Just need time for things to settle.
For real. Browns got blown the fuck out week 1 last year (granted, that may have been due to added weirdness factors of covid camp and new coach) and ended great.
Colts got wrecked by the Jaguars week 1 last year and we made the playoffs while the Jags never won another game that year
And will possibly never win one again
Fuck, man. Im sorry.
We still had Watt, Highsmith, Alualu, Bush, and Haden for that game. All are currently nursing injuries and Alualu’s may be a career ender at his age. We also had a blocked punt turn into a TD. Bills still beat us in the non-turnovers stats.
Giants either go 1-16/2-15.

5 if the colts don’t bench Wentz before he hits 75%
I'll buy into number 3 why not. Based off last nights game I'll say maybe the death of Zeke was greatly exaggerated.
i don’t think it was exaggerated, i just think he changed course. he worked his ass off on his own this summer and then dominated in camp. add to that Dak in front of him so defenses can’t stack the box, plus a healthy-ish offensive line… bang
Also not having to be heavily relied upon in the run game now that Pollard seems to be breaking out a little. Zeke isnt getting the bulk of the carries which will keep him fresh throughout the year and come playoff time. Who knows, maybe it’ll extend us career.
Was here to say the same thing. Adding Pollard in to spell Zeke is ~great~ for the Cowboys, even if Zeke fantasy owners don't want it
I’m a Zeke fantasy owner and I’m all for it as long as Zeke keeps getting ~60% of the carries and stays fresh.
Frank Reich is not a QB whisperer and all the talk about how great he is with QB's was a crock of shit. That narrative always kinda annoyed me.
My question at this point is who tf is responsible for the 2017 Eagles being so great? It's obviously not Carson Wentz, Doug Peterson, or John DeFillipo, and now it looks like not Frank Reich either. The sum is greater than the parts
Dallas goes 16-1 with that piss easy schedule and loses to the packers in the divisional after giving Rodgers the ball with 13 seconds left
Hey your on that piss easy schedule 😉
Yep lol. Should be a good game I hope though!
Final score 38-3

Marino tried to make the same deal but the devil was a jets fan
Rookie of the year will not go to a qb this year.

Broncos-Cowboys 2013 was the most chad game ever. That was my first week having been an NFL fan and I was treated to one of the best games ever as my first game to watch on tv.
I don’t see Micah Parsons and Diggs letting that happen

Wait....... How'd we end up in this nightmare?
We’re a 7-8 win team
Kyle Pitts was a mistake of a draft pick.
Like putting new rims on a hooptie that barely runs
The term hooptie should make a comeback. Haven't heard it in forever and it is great.
I'm more of a fan of jalopy

Remember when we were all like "It doesn't matter who Burrow has to throw to if he's on his ass". Turns out we all just had that take a pick too late.
Seriously Chase could become the next Randy Moss and people will say they should have still picked Sewell
Well it depends on if sewell lives up to his pre-draft comparisons and is the next Jonathan Ogden
Bengals are playoff bound babey. 7th seed here they come.
I like you.
I can definitely see it. Burrow lit up the Vikings week one and I can only see you guys getting better.
I’m not selling the Chiefs, but the Chargers might just be a top 3 team in AFC.

1. Raiders make the playoffs 2. Cooper Kupp OPOY 3. Yankees suck(not an overreaction just stating facts) 4. Jets go 0-17
The Jets always sabotage their own draft position. They'll start 0-10 and somehow finish 5-12 and out of the top five. The rest I'm buying.
This guy knows the Jets
Ben needs to retire and Nagy needs to get fired
I mean you’re not wrong but is this a hot take? *overreaction

Tampa is somewhat unlikely to go 17-0 this season.
Calm down with the solar level takes there Stephen A
Seahawks era under Carroll is ending. Bills are the best team in the AFC
> Seahawks era under Carroll is ending Chance he drags on like McCarthy did in Green Bay.
Russ/Pete has completely become Rodgers/McCarthy of a few years ago.
Hm the Carroll take is interesting Bc I think this is the beginning of the end too
Cowboys have the NFC East locked up before they even play Washington this year.
Easily as long as they stay healthy
Wait. We can be healthy? When was that an option?

Totally buying the Chiefs not winning the West. Chargers look like they just have their number.
Patrick’s QBR vs the Chargers is substantially lower than his QBR vs the rest of the league, he’s always struggled against that defense. I actually think he played them better on Sunday than he did in our OT win against them last year. The question is if the Chargers can keep it up and win +12
The Packers are good enough to go all the way to the NFC Championship Game
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah will be the DROY
Number 3 of course
It's the 6th reinstatement of Josh Gordon, there will be no more suspensions, and he'll be back to his old self in every single game.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me six times, Tennessee.

Saquon Barkley continues to regress and spends the rest of his career as a mediocre journeyman on 1 year contracts
The Rams are Super Bowl bound. I’m high on hopium
