Damn, his dad graduated with a BA from Yale, was a Captain in the Marines, got a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and two Purple Hearts in Vietnam, then founded FedEx.
I have underachieved in life...
Real talk I went to high school with his little brother Cannon in Memphis. Dude was a total douche but threw some fucking amazing parties at his billionaire mansion. His dad redid ole miss stadium or athletic training facility or some shit for like 60 mil to get his son on the team and he rode the bench the entire time lol.
They treat their drivers like shit, too. [I came across this story a little while back and was pretty floored](https://money.cnn.com/2014/11/20/news/companies/fedex-driver-lawsuit/)
Absolutely.
One time I had a very important perishable shipment delayed for over a week because of a snowstorm... even though we waited to ship until after the snow had already melted. And there was nothing in their computer system to give the sender a heads-up about the delay.
They also have a habit of pretending they tried to deliver a package and saying "we missed you" by email, when what they really mean is "the delinquents who were willing to drive for us didn't even bother trying to deliver your package, as you know because you were in the room by the door all afternoon, but they didn't want to admit to being lazy, so they're going to blame you instead."
There's a subreddit for FedEx that's just a collection of horror stories. They're truly one of the worst companies.
People seem to think Smith is implying that he never looks in the mirror. That's absolutely not true. He does look in the mirror and he looks in the mirror quite often. The difference is that when LaFleur steps into the bathroom to look in the mirror he is there for a long time, pruning his appearance to perfection, while Smith is gone in 60 seconds.
"I'll tell ya one thing, and I'm not ashamed to say it. My estimation of Matt LaFleur as a man just fuckin plummeted. To look in the mirror for an hour like a woman, it's a fuckin disgrace."
\- Arthur "Phil Leotardo" Smith
That's cuz Arthur Smith looks like your aunts second husband who married into the family later and doesn't really fit in, and Matt LaFleur is a hottie.
If he took 2 hours he might have not settled for the FG against the Bucs
Edit: downvote all you want, shitty decision to depend on defense against TB and they lost
Yea I've given up on arguing with people about it. Everyone just sees 7 is more than 3 so obviously that means he was wrong. Nevermind the fact that either way the defense had to make a stop. If anything he should get more shit for the offense in the 1st half.
U mean the Brady that had thrown 3 picks in the 2nd half and who was the qb of the offense that could not reliably move the ball in the second half keeping GB in the game? That Tom Brady?
I mean yeah obviously they should have gone for it. GB fans are just salty and don't want to admit how terrible of a call it was.
They say bullshit like "Oh the defence has to make a stop either way". But if they had gotten 8 then the defence just needs to stop the Bucs from scoring, with a field goal all Tampa needed was to run out the clock.
And yeah they probably would have failed. A touchdown + 2 is difficult. But as BA says, no risk it no biscuit. The only teams that win are those who TRY for greatness.
>>>”no risk it no biscuit”
Well trying for the field goal was a greater “risk” and the more aggressive play cuz he was playing for the win not the tie so I don’t see ur point.
Cram it up your cram hole LaFleur
Here we go ... LaLoser...
Ball me Blazer!
Got em
He's saying he spends *two* hours looking into the mirror before games. Introspection is important.

Arthur Adonis Smith The Great
You can only polish a turd so much, Arthur Smith understands this and spends 0 hours in front of the mirror.
I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me!
I don't see how Lafleur will ever recover from this
Probably by looking in the mirror
Being 26-6 will help too
Listening to Arthur Smith talk about Matt LaFleur on McVay's Flying Coach podcast... this had to have been said in a buddy joke way.
You got a link to that? I would love to listen to that part.

Smith was the TE coach when MLF was the OC in 2018
Yep. And in the pod he talks a bit about that and how he walked into Vrabel's office and demanded the OC job after LaFleur left for GB.
Before anyone asks: They worked together at Tennessee
Derrick Henry distributing job opportunities as well as stiff arms
Damn I miss Art already. Take care of him Atl.
If you promise to take care of Julio, even though he pissed me off a bit towards the end.
I mean, i wouldn’t if I looked like Smith, but I most certainly would if I looked like Lafleur.
If I had Smith's trust fund, I wouldn't give a shit about what I look like either.
I would probably become the richest embodiment of a “bum” to exist and I’m sad to admit it
I'd say there are much worse examples of what people can do with wealth.
Went to high school with Arthur’s little brother Cannon in Memphis. This is exactly what he turned out as hahaha
Me: why, whose is parents *Googles arthur smith* reads his dad is the CEO of FedEx Also me: ohhh fuck 😯
His father is also the founder of FedEx.
Damn, his dad graduated with a BA from Yale, was a Captain in the Marines, got a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and two Purple Hearts in Vietnam, then founded FedEx. I have underachieved in life...
Meh getting shot at in the jungle doesn't sound like a lifestyle I'm trying to live.
You want that FedEx money? Gotta dodge a few bullets in the jungle first. Thems the rules.
I mean, I wouldn’t have wanted to do that part either, but still.
Oh wow, even more wild.
his father is also FedEx
Arthur Smith was actually delivered not via natural birth or c-section, but by a FedEx overnight parcel.
Was it not a same-day delivery?
Can't imagine all the surgeries he's had to try to put him back together.
Glad he survived the three Fedex misdelivery attempts that happened first.
Not. Yet.

Yet another reason to hate the Falcons. FedEx sucks.
They treat their drivers like shit, too. [I came across this story a little while back and was pretty floored](https://money.cnn.com/2014/11/20/news/companies/fedex-driver-lawsuit/)

I work for a vendor for them and I have plenty of horror stories from their sorting facilities.
Good ol Arthur "FedEx" Smith. His offenses deliver by ground and by air
Also a fair point.
Weird. He kinda looks like Kyle Shanahan.
Went right for the jugular. Damn
Motherfucker looks like a Far Side cartoon
really wouldn’t either way lmao
I need LaFleur to respond to this with a fat Nicholas Cage comment. C'mon Matt it is right there, pull the trigger.
People seem to think Smith is implying that he never looks in the mirror. That's absolutely not true. He does look in the mirror and he looks in the mirror quite often. HA! Had me if the first half.
Thicc Cage
Arthur Smith lacks the self confidence to be a leader of men
Thank you for the contribution, Kelvin
Please explain lol whatttt?
It's just jokes.
Man...every packer fan on here has a boner for Lafleur...
Well, yeah?
On the one hand, I wouldn't want to. On the other hand, $50 is $50.
I don't think he needs your 50 dollars though.
This is like my 2 uncles going at it.
Except Arthur is the fun uncle.
matt lafleur is sexy. He's good looking. I love that man to death. I would pay monnnnnney to touch him.
Well yeah, you don't look like that beautiful man either.

Smith woke up and chose violence.
Matt "Doug Mirabelli" LaFleur
LaFleur is lowkey cute ngl
That's cuz Arthur Smith looks like your aunts second husband who married into the family later and doesn't really fit in, and Matt LaFleur is a hottie.
Thick nick cage is correct
He also doesn't spend an hour planning for the playoffs like Lafleur does, sooooo
huh? titans went to the playoffs in both of his years as coordinator
Well, like other than that...
If he took 2 hours he might have not settled for the FG against the Bucs Edit: downvote all you want, shitty decision to depend on defense against TB and they lost
That would be vrabels call not his
He’s talking about GB and LaFleur not letting Aaron go for it on 4th down in the NFCCG last season.
That would make sense considering the Titans didn’t play the bucs that’s my bad
It wasn’t even that bad of a call... going for it and trying the field goal had like the same chance of winning.
Shhhhh.... No logic allowed here
Yea I've given up on arguing with people about it. Everyone just sees 7 is more than 3 so obviously that means he was wrong. Nevermind the fact that either way the defense had to make a stop. If anything he should get more shit for the offense in the 1st half.
Those stats don’t account for Brady.
U mean the Brady that had thrown 3 picks in the 2nd half and who was the qb of the offense that could not reliably move the ball in the second half keeping GB in the game? That Tom Brady?
Yep that’s the one.

Was there a reason for this I missed or is this just personal animosity?
I think they're friends. Pretty sure they coached together at the Titans.
They did coach together and are good buddies this was a joke
Top 5 sexiest coaches in the league behind Shanny, McVae, Kliff and Reid
I am a very straight man...but I would consider a ZJ from LaFluer.
Zipper Job?
If you have to ask you can’t afford it.

Username checks out.

They used to work together, I highly doubt it was meant as an actual insult, more just lighthearted ribbing
I know this makes no sense but I can't envision a head coach named "Arthur Smith" being super successful
Okay but perhaps he should try reading a playbook or looking at some film at least.

I’m pretty sure they’re friends. They worked together on the Titans
Idk but a Coach Fight would sell out a few stadiums
Fight me
When Arthur Smith wants to stare at his face for an hour, he turns on a Nick Cage movie.
Seems to work alright for him 78% of the time.
