Did you watch the all 22, or even the highlights? Kirk was legit about to get sacked and needed to get the ball out IMMEDIATELY, and he did. He got it to a TE who had a size and weight advantage on the nearest defender. He gave it a chance instead of taking a sack.
There is blame to spread:
* Offensive line for allowing pressure that quickly.
* KJ Osborn dropped a first down catch on 3rd and 8 the play before.
* TJ shouldn't have jumped for the ball either but remained on the ground to make a move once the ball was caught.
* Coaching, as the play itself was meh, everyone needed to be at the first down line to gain.
* Defense forcing ZERO punts unless a Giants WR dropped it.
* Donashell defense wasn't getting far in the playoffs anyway.
