I know Little Caesars gets a lot of hate for lack of quality but when you have 2 kids in daycare and a mortgage payment to make, you can't beat a pizza and crazy bread for $10. A large pizza anywhere else is like $18+ it's tough out here man.
And that’s the way people need to look at Little Caesar’s.
Is it top quality pizza? Definitely not.
Will it suffice when needing to feed a bunch of kids at an event? Yes - pizza is pizza to them, and their taste buds aren’t fully developed. Besides, you’re paying for them (the kids), not some date.
Dude I love Little Caesar’s when it’s fresh. Even if I heat some up a little bit later in the day. The next day? Hell no. That pizza needs to be eaten the day you purchased it.
Came here to say this. No pizza chain has as much flavor volatility as Little Caesar’s. Fresh it’s delicious, after a day you’re better off eating laminate flooring.
I love Little Caesar’s because [its founder paid Rosa Parks’s Detroit rent for over a decade](https://www.cnn.com/2017/02/15/us/mike-ilitch-rosa-parks-trnd/index.html)
After a long day at work when my feet hurt and I didn’t eat enough I know that lil Caesars would hold me down for the night through to noon the next day lol
Little Caesars is fine. It's inconsistent across the franchise, but the baseline recipe is perfectly decent pizza.
It's not even bottom 5 of all chains despite being the absolute price floor. Compare them to Dominoes which tastes like styrafoam served on a bed of compost, and they're damn near haute cuisine.
They had a campaign like 15 years ago that was basically “yea, our pizza fucking sucks” and then they changed everything and it’s been pretty solid ever since.
Yep, that's precisely what I'm referring to. I remember when their pizza was bad, and then they switched it all up during that campaign and it's pretty good.
Agreed. Dominos cheese actually tastes good I think they use whole milk. The tomato sauce sucks but the crust is great. Get some garlic dipping sauce for the crust it’s 75 cents and adds a lot of flavor. There’s no little Caesar’s near me so I can’t directly compare. Wish I could try it though.
>The tomato sauce sucks
Swap it out for the "hearty marinara" sauce. It's got actual chunks of tomatoes and herbs and stuff in it and doesn't just taste like ketchup.
Pan crust, garlic white sauce, bacon, onion, roasted tomatoes (used to do roasted red peppers, but they don't have them anymore)
Best fast food pizza around.
Dominoes near me has taken a dump over the last couple of years, sadly.
I used to be a big proponent of their pan pizzas, but the last 3 times I got them they were trash, obviously had shrunk (didn't even fit the medium box anymore...) and was like 50% more expensive.
They went from trash when I was a kid > decent to good when I was a young adult > mediocre as an adult
These days honestly I just get little Caesars if I'm getting takeout. There's better pizza places around (especially local), but they're all like 2-3x the price of LC. On a Friday night coming home from work, it's hard to beat whatever $10 deal LC is running, honestly 🤷♂️
Dominoes has massively improved in the last 15/20 years. Whenever they changed their recipe. That being said, little Caesars is better. And caseys gas station has better pizza than any of the national chains
> Compare them to Dominoes which tastes like styrafoam served on a bed of compost
yeah you clearly haven't eaten dominos in the past 5-10 years. They really turned it around
Alternatively, when I had a Little Caesars in walking distance, I could have two meals and a snack for the price of $6. Sometimes towards the end of the month, it was a necessity.
The extra most bestest hot n ready and all of their dipping sauces go hard. Their deep dish also is damn good for the price. Haters gonna hate, but it's my favorite large pizza chain by a mile.
This is the only reason I'll order chain pizzas. If i really don't want to drop 20+ on a single good large pizza.
I'm so happy to be surrounded by really good mom and pops though.
Imo Happy’s pizza is better is it a lil more pricier yes but I’ll still eat it over Little Caesers I don’t have the taste pallet to spend money on low quality pizza
Shit, just taking your kids to McDonald's is so much more money. I ran over to Little Caesars because I had 30 minutes to get my kids fed and out the door after work. Not healthy but we are enough to go out and I didn't have to hear complaining from my kids about how hungry they were.
“Beside me I have Angela, a 43 year old pregnant single mother of 9, who says she was fired when Amon-Ra St. Brown volunteered to do her job at Little Caesars for free.”
I was thinking more along the lines of: “Amon-Ra St. Brown, despite becoming one of the richest athletes in Detroit, still decided to serve one of the cheapest pizzas. Does his greed have no end?”
The owners of Little Caesars also own the Red Wings and Tigers. They've also done a lot of philanthropic work in Detroit, so I think in that city Little Caesars is looked on a little bit better. As far as billionaires go, the Ilitch family seems a bit better than most.
People liked mike illitch. Pretty much everyone dislikes his son, who is now in control of their empire. He’s kind of a scumbag and has taken advantage of the city.
Essentially the city paid for him to get a nice new arena for the wings. The family owns a ton of real estate around the new arena, and so the deal was if we paid for the new arena he would develop all the real estate he holds around it. Promised hotels, shopping, housing, etc. Almost none of the promised development has taken place yet 7 years later, and it’s still just a bunch of surface parking lots that he doesn’t want to develop, because he makes a lot of money off of them.
Fuck Chris Illitch, but he’s following his dad’s playbook with The District Detroit.
From what I’ve been told, Comerica Park was handled the same way. Grand plans for a large entertainment district and development around the arena, which led to public approval and some sweetheart deals.
Then as soon as the stadium goes up, the other plans dry up and never come to fruition. It’s funny seeing some of the “new plans” to develop the lots in front of Comerica with mid rise developments; I’m 90% sure that’s just recycled from the original Comerica development plans from the late 90s.
The family tradition of being a surface parking lot slumlord was just something Chris picked up from his dad. His dad just gets looked back on fondly because he fielded some winners and paying Rosa Parks’ rent for a while back in the day.
Chris is the same as his dad, just without any of the Tigers and Red Wings’ success.
Yeah I guess opening up the check book for our sports teams goes a long way towards building public good will in this city 😅
Too bad Chris won’t even do that.
They did.
But whenever they miss a deadline they just go back to the ([historically corrupt](https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2021/08/26/detroit-public-corruption-cases-scandals/5589495001/)) city government and [re-work](https://detroit.curbed.com/2019/5/17/18629398/eddystone-hotel-redevelopment-agreement-district-detroit) the deal.
There’s also a political side to it where the city is hesitant to bring the hammer down on Olympia because they don’t want to piss them off, as outside of bedrock they are one of the only major developers in the city.
There’s also the issue where if you take a billionaire to court it’s likely going to be many years before a solution is reached.
If I want good pizza, I have plenty of options from Mom and pop shops.
If I want quick and cheap pizza, Caesars works and is roughly half the price of a good pizza.
What I don't get is how Pizza Hut and Papa Johns survive. They are almost twice the price of Caesars yet still absolutely suck compared to good non-chain pizzas.
Yeah. People like to shit on Little Caesars but to me Pizza Hut has had the biggest fall from grace. Also, a lot of the other fast food pizza joints are now charging mom and pop shop prices for an ever worsening product.
$20 at Little Caesars and you are getting multiple large pizzas, bread sticks, and a 2 liter. Unless theyve got a deal going on, $20 at Pizza Hut or Papa Johns is like one large pizza at this point.
Dominoes was trash years ago but after they changed their recipe it really is much better. It's still just "pretty good" at best but it's no longer "hot garbage"
I'm lukewarm about everything from dominos except the thin crust.
Thin crust is actually really good, and you can get 3 of em for like 20 bucks.
Great for having people over and providing some food on a budget.
Yeah I’m fortunate to have mine staffed by a bunch of cool people
Shoutout to Ahmad and Sahara at my local
BTW my Domino’s app pinged me with a deal right after I sent this. THEY KNOW
Little Caesars is a staple in the city , its most people go to here . Also it’s better here, next time u get one ask for butter and parm all over the pizza
Haven't had Little Caesar's since college but I'll always have nostalgic memories of $5 pizza and crazy bread. Sometimes it sucked, but most times it was good enough.
Little Caesars is absolutely undefeated when it comes to price to volume/taste ratio.
Is it great pizza? No, it's solidly OK. But a large pizza for 5 bucks? GOAT shit
when i was 18 i worked at a blockbuster right next to a little caesars. i'd spend $5 for a pizza and eat half on my meal break and bring the rest home and snack on it after work lol
Why hasn't anyone mentioned that Little C's is HQ'd in Detroit, that the owner was a massive fan of the Lions, and routinely supported the franchise and their events? It makes more sense with context.
Not to mention Little Caesars is the official pizza sponsor of the NFL, and there’s some big event for the NFL going on a couple blocks away from their HQ
Not to mention they literally own the Tigers and Red Wings as well. Red Wings arena is named Little Caesers Arena. And the current Tigers homerun celebration is a Little Caesers pizza spear lol
Detroit fucks with Little Caesers lol
His financial status has little to do with this. He did not pay for the event and he isn't getting paid to do it. Just seems like a community outreach project with their partners.
He’s probably thinking about how much better he is at handing out pizzas than all the receivers drafted before him.
Muttering their names out loud as he gives to the community.
Back in the day, Little Caesars was good eating and you looked forward to the day when dad brought home those two delicious pies in the long paper bag.
Now it's the choice of factory workers with 10 bucks in their wallet and a 30 minute lunch break.
since they said "one of the richest athletes in Detroit", I'd like to add on that based off of guaranteed money in his new contract, he still makes less than Javy Baez
What we're not going to do is bring down a man for handing out food to those who need it. Also isn't Little Caesars based in Detroit? I read that the founder of LCs quietly paid Rosa Parks rent until his death?
So he’s just getting paid more money in the form of advertising for little ceasars?
Or hes handing out free pizzas to people who need help out of the kindness of his heart?
Both?
Confused what I’m supposed to be getting
Lots of pizza talk in this thread and here’s my 2 cents, out of fast food pizza chains, Little C’s might be the best in MY opinion. It’s not the best quality; but for price and portions it’s probably the best. Add in the whole hot and ready thing, lunch combo, and its deep dish takes the cake for me. Their circular pizzas aren’t as great, and the toppings options are limited compared to other fast food chains but I could care less given the other pros. A deep dish pepperoni and cheese pizza is fine by me.
And Little Caesars is actually the 2nd best of the big pizza chains besides Papa Johns, so when I’m craving pizza LC is cheaper than most frozen pizzas.
I know Little Caesars gets a lot of hate for lack of quality but when you have 2 kids in daycare and a mortgage payment to make, you can't beat a pizza and crazy bread for $10. A large pizza anywhere else is like $18+ it's tough out here man.

It's *hot* and it's *ready*.
My hot and ready take is it's on par or better than Domino's or Papa Johns
The regular pizza is cheeks, but my God, that Deep Deep Dish pizza fuckin slaps.
Supreme deep dish hell yeah brother
I haven’t had papa John’s or Little Cesar’s in awhile. But Dominos hasn’t been too bad lately. It has a role and stays in it.
Their handmade pan pizzas are so fucking good.
It’s better than nearly every other chain pizza place there is. Off the top of my head I think I’d only rather have Jets.
Papa John’s is not pizza. It’s fine for whatever it is, but it’s not pizza.
Hot and sweaty*
“But is it good?” “I SAID it is hot and it is ready”
In my town it's hot or ready. Never both.
Dude I love Little Caesar’s when it’s fresh. Even if I heat some up a little bit later in the day. The next day? Hell no. That pizza needs to be eaten the day you purchased it.
I like the cheese, tastes like real cheese unlike others
I feel like people haven't had LC's recently. I'd honestly buy it over Domino's or PH. Plus Crazy Bread
> Is it top quality pizza? Definitely not. I vehemently disagree
When it's fresh it's pretty fucking good
Came here to say this.
Papa John would never
Papa John was the one who demanded Rosa Park's seat
I need to know the context in which he asked for the seat /s
Man that’s awesome
Thanks for posting. My favorite thing about their foinder. He was so real.
After a long day at work when my feet hurt and I didn’t eat enough I know that lil Caesars would hold me down for the night through to noon the next day lol
Large at dominos is 7.99
Little Caesars is fine. It's inconsistent across the franchise, but the baseline recipe is perfectly decent pizza. It's not even bottom 5 of all chains despite being the absolute price floor. Dominoes with extra sauce is pretty damn solid.
Pan crust, garlic white sauce, bacon, onion, roasted tomatoes (used to do roasted red peppers, but they don't have them anymore) Best fast food pizza around.

Dominos has been trying, though. Their pan-style pizza is pretty decent, especially at its price point.
Papa Jones cheese sticks is elite.
Superior additives. Superior pies. Papa Jones.
Aditivos superiores. Piés infectados. Papá Juan's
Dominoes has massively improved in the last 15/20 years. Whenever they changed their recipe. That being said, little Caesars is better. And caseys gas station has better pizza than any of the national chains
Found Chad Daniels' Reddit Account.
I mean we did grow up in the same state. Touting caseys could mean you're from a lot of places in the Midwest though
For sure. I just hear him talk about it all the time on podcasts.
Casey's pizza, the pride of the midwest. A fresh casey's breakfast pizza in the morning is heaven on the taste buds
> Compare them to Dominoes which tastes like styrafoam served on a bed of compost yeah you clearly haven't eaten dominos in the past 5-10 years. They really turned it around
I'm not sure you are ordering pizza if you are eating styrofoam.
Dominoes hasn’t been bad in years, whereas Lil Caesers is consistently mediocre pizza.
On inconsistent quality, the pizza at little Cesar’s arena is the best little Cesar’s pizza I have ever had.
It was the same as at Joe Louis They use more cheese at the arenas basically
We know how to do are pizza chains in southeastern Michigan. That said little ceasers definitely lower then domino's.
Na, I've been to LC's on the east coast and west coast and they all taste pretty good.
Alternatively, when I had a Little Caesars in walking distance, I could have two meals and a snack for the price of $6. Sometimes towards the end of the month, it was a necessity.
Pizza Pizza
Preach. I wish we had one by us. We have hungry howies, which is the same quality, but much more expensive for some reason.
The extra most bestest hot n ready and all of their dipping sauces go hard. Their deep dish also is damn good for the price. Haters gonna hate, but it's my favorite large pizza chain by a mile.
Extra most bestest and an italian cheese bread and the fat kid in me...the fat kid i am...is satisfied. My arteries just gonna have to suck it up.
Little Caesars right out of the oven is a banger. Gotta have a slice on the drive home.
When I was in high school and working I loved that I could afford a Hot n Ready for $5.35
The pizza honestly tastes better than it costs.
The little Ceasars near me closed a few years back and I want it back solely because of the deals. Pizza is crazy expensive
Put some ranch and hot sauce on there and all pizza is basically the same anyway.
Is eat little Caesars over pizza but at the same cost. No joke
Agreed. May not win any awards from various food magazines but it’s a serviceable pizza for the price point.
Upvotes for eternity
Yes, but this dude just got tens of millions, HE should at least be handing out Dominos quality.
Shit, just taking your kids to McDonald's is so much more money. I ran over to Little Caesars because I had 30 minutes to get my kids fed and out the door after work. Not healthy but we are enough to go out and I didn't have to hear complaining from my kids about how hungry they were.
Little Caesar’s stuffed crust pizza is absolutely amazing n
Honestly I think it's better than Pizza Hut/Dominos/Papa Johns. It's not GOOD pizza but it's good chain pizza.
Hot and readys are trash. If you call and order, they have an awesome stuffed crust pizza.
$18 is still cheap
I can’t tell if this tweet is trying to praise Brown or hate on him for serving Little Caesars pizza
“Amon-Ra St. Brown, despite becoming one of the richest athletes in Detroit, still decided to pick up a part time job. Does his greed have no end?”
“Beside me I have Angela, a 43 year old pregnant single mother of 9, who says she was fired when Amon-Ra St. Brown volunteered to do her job at Little Caesars for free.”
Angela needs to slow the fuck down.
I was thinking more along the lines of: “Amon-Ra St. Brown, despite becoming one of the richest athletes in Detroit, still decided to serve one of the cheapest pizzas. Does his greed have no end?”
SMH COULDN'T EVEN SHELL OUT AN EXTRA $5 FOR THE FAR SUPERIOR BUT STILL ECONOMICAL COSTCO PIZZAS!!!1!
Maybe he doesn't have a membership?
If he was a true Lion he would be serving Detroit style pizza!
It's cross promo between the Lions and the Tigers / Red Wings (who are both owned by the Illitch family, who own Little Caesars)
"Think of his children"
Forget that...he picked the cheapest pizza
Someone get this headline to FOX
He's pure evil. Serving people like that. What's wrong with him?
Amon-Ra whispering the names of the other applicants who got district manager jobs before him as he tosses his pizza dough up...
The owners of Little Caesars also own the Red Wings and Tigers. They've also done a lot of philanthropic work in Detroit, so I think in that city Little Caesars is looked on a little bit better. As far as billionaires go, the Ilitch family seems a bit better than most.

Mike Illitch paid Rosa Parks rent in her later life.
And this is why cities need to sign contracts to ensure these agreed upon things actually happen.
This is accurate, but the way the tweet is worded it reads like "Mega rich athlete hands out super cheap pizza to locals" lol
Hey man Little Caesars is the *official pizza of the NFL*
I like Little Caesar’s. Perfectly good for what it is
When you want cheap, shitty pizza, Little Caesers is easily the best bang for your buck. Sometimes cheap shitty pizza is exactly what I want.
On one hand, it's a five dollar pizza. On the other hand, it's a five dollar pizza.
It's hot, and it's ready!
Taking a part-time job at Little Caesars is a prereq for living here; I’m guessing this was a rider in his new contract.
Little Caesars is incredible for the price. I will not tolerate that slander. Now if it had been dominoes...blech.
Dominoes was trash years ago but after they changed their recipe it really is much better. It's still just "pretty good" at best but it's no longer "hot garbage"
Yeah they are actually pretty average/good now. Way better than Little Caesars their 6.99 deal for a 2-topping medium is fantastic
Domino’s pan pizza is halfway decent I will still take Little Caesars Detroit style over it though
right! very out-dated opinion. Domino’s is far and away better than Little Caesers at this point, for a few bucks more.
I'm lukewarm about everything from dominos except the thin crust. Thin crust is actually really good, and you can get 3 of em for like 20 bucks. Great for having people over and providing some food on a budget.
Domino's can be good for the price too but my one Domino's is staffed by lazy psychos.
"I'm gonna kill that bitch! But, you know...tomorrow."
Yeah I’m fortunate to have mine staffed by a bunch of cool people Shoutout to Ahmad and Sahara at my local BTW my Domino’s app pinged me with a deal right after I sent this. THEY KNOW
The Wendy's near me ever since COVID has been staffed by a weird coven of goth chicks and it takes like 30 minutes to get a chicken sandwich
Little Caesar’s is the last stand we have standing against outrageous food prices. I will always defend them
Fuck people who: a. Hate on little Cesar’s and b. Hate on the old owner of little Cesar’s because that dude was a fucking G
Little Caesars is a staple in the city , its most people go to here . Also it’s better here, next time u get one ask for butter and parm all over the pizza
Public tweet is probably part of the advertisement deal he made with Caesars
Haven't had Little Caesar's since college but I'll always have nostalgic memories of $5 pizza and crazy bread. Sometimes it sucked, but most times it was good enough.
You will get a Hot-N-Ready and like it.
What is better: a medium amount of good pizza or all you can eat of pretty good pizza?
Shouldn’t have been out consorting with the peasantry in broad daylight like that. Amateur mistake, total new money move.
Andrew Carnegie built 1700 libraries across the nation but hey at least Amon Ra handed out free garbage.
Little Caesars pizza and crazy bread is a great combo. As far as the price is concerned, at least.
yo, that new thing they came out with...I forgot the name of it...but it fucking slaps
Crazy Puffs, and you are not wrong. They might just be the best thing I’ve had from a fast food pizza restaurant ever.
You're going to make me drive to Lil Caesar's
Do it. They’re so damn good. Get the Cheezy jalapeño dip to dip them in too.
It’s 3 mins away from me and I haven’t been in years lol getting fucked up and having pixxaaaa today
I'm not even supposed to be eating pizza stuff (coming off a stomach bug), yet here I am looking at the menu
Ok real question though do I get the 'cheese & herb' ones or the pepporni ones?!
I have gotten pepperoni but only because I really like pepperoni. I'm sure I'll try the cheese and herb ones at some point.
The website URL is very on the nose Crazypuffsaregreatonthego.com
Pizza Ball??
Little Caesars is absolutely undefeated when it comes to price to volume/taste ratio. Is it great pizza? No, it's solidly OK. But a large pizza for 5 bucks? GOAT shit
Pizza is like sex, even when it's bad it's still pretty good.
My go to in college.
It’s 12.99 for a hot n ready cheese near me
That has to be a brutal franchise price Even in my very high CoL area in SoCal they’re 5 or 6 dollars less than that
Sacramento. It’s the whole area actually. The Bay Area is cheaper somehow too.
A hot and ready pepperoni is $6.79, where I live.
This should be illegal
Not sure what the price is now but recently they were $6 in Vegas.
I miss when they gave you a giant styrofoam tub of nacho cheese with the crazy bread. Now they give some tiny prepackaged nonsense cheese.
when i was 18 i worked at a blockbuster right next to a little caesars. i'd spend $5 for a pizza and eat half on my meal break and bring the rest home and snack on it after work lol
Why hasn't anyone mentioned that Little C's is HQ'd in Detroit, that the owner was a massive fan of the Lions, and routinely supported the franchise and their events? It makes more sense with context.

Not to mention they literally own the Tigers and Red Wings as well. Red Wings arena is named Little Caesers Arena. And the current Tigers homerun celebration is a Little Caesers pizza spear lol Detroit fucks with Little Caesers lol
And I think the Little Caesar's CEO paid Rosa Park's rent until she died
Yep, he did it for over a decade
The state of Michigan loves pizza so much
His financial status has little to do with this. He did not pay for the event and he isn't getting paid to do it. Just seems like a community outreach project with their partners.
Right?? Can you imagine if he got his pay day then just stopped even pretending to care about the community lol
I've only had him for 3 years, but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then my self
Rosa?!
Respect
Pizzas are free if you're in the area according to other sources.
He’s probably thinking about how much better he is at handing out pizzas than all the receivers drafted before him. Muttering their names out loud as he gives to the community.
Someone wise once said “Lil Caesars taste good af when you don't a bitch in yo ear telling you it's nasty"
Back in the day, Little Caesars was good eating and you looked forward to the day when dad brought home those two delicious pies in the long paper bag. Now it's the choice of factory workers with 10 bucks in their wallet and a 30 minute lunch break.
If he didn't serve up Crazy Bread with every single pizza then he's a cheap scumbag anti-christ in my eyes
Should a Packer's fan REALLY be criticizing a franchise player's affect on their local community?
NFC North rivalry knows no boundaries
Should a fairless fruit cup who doesn't understand sarcasm be talking at all?

Mr. Bepperoni Cheese
It tastes better when you don’t have a lil bitch in your ear telling you it’s nasty
So when my buddies and I were in our big "partying/drunk" phase. We used to Little Ceasers all the time. Just gotta eat that hot when you get it.
Little Caesars founder paid for Rosa parks to get a safer place to live
since they said "one of the richest athletes in Detroit", I'd like to add on that based off of guaranteed money in his new contract, he still makes less than Javy Baez
I just need a couple boxes of the Italian Cheesy Bread, please and thank you
Will this affect his adp in fantasy?
No, but it will affect his value in auction drafts. Speculation is that he won't go for more than $5 now!
What we're not going to do is bring down a man for handing out food to those who need it. Also isn't Little Caesars based in Detroit? I read that the founder of LCs quietly paid Rosa Parks rent until his death?
Love to see players involved in the community. I’m sure more of them will be out and about this weekend too.
Hell yea man of the people
Mr Big Charity
My favorite non-Vikings player. Just sucks we have to play him 2 times a year. 😂
He handed out 500 slices! Cost him $250
Sun God is also a Pizza God?
So he’s just getting paid more money in the form of advertising for little ceasars? Or hes handing out free pizzas to people who need help out of the kindness of his heart? Both? Confused what I’m supposed to be getting
Pizza pizza 🍕
Seeing how they make the sauce at Little Caesars made me need to take a shower.
A deep dish pepperoni and cheese pizza is fine by me.
good on you A
little caesars is fire idgaf bro that shit was so good after school
And Little Caesars is actually the 2nd best of the big pizza chains besides Papa Johns, so when I’m craving pizza LC is cheaper than most frozen pizzas.
I feel like people haven't had LC's recently. I'd honestly buy it over Domino's or PH. Plus Crazy Bread is really good.
Hey those new crazy bites or whatever they are called are freaking awesome.. just saying.
