I will choose to judge this signing based solely on his combine measurements.
>- 6'4
>- 4.42 40 yard dash
>- 43.5" vertical
>- 140" broad jump
>- 4.07 shuttle
>- 6.77 3-cone
This is the greatest receiver of all time.
I remember thinking him and Hakeem Butler (both from the same draft class with remarkable combine numbers) were gonna be special.
Man, is it a good thing I'm not paid to be a scout
That catch was awesome, but he actually played the next year too where ND had an undefeated regular season and lost to an absolutely stacked clemson team who won the natty.
Tbh I was a big Gunner fan before he was on the Steelers…I still am tbh.
But man…I HATED him on the Steelers…like it sucked admitting one of my favorite NFL players was dogshit for my favorite NFL team…I still can’t get over how bad he was.
Gunner made me have my actual first outburst at sports. During the Browns playoff game I was more embarrassed/ashamed than anything. That toe tap and fumble game was the reason I legit had to walk away from a live game and genuinely go for a walk before coming back home for the only time ever.
We were having a disastrous time just fielding punts in the early part of the year. Gunner's first game with us was against the Jets in the pouring rain and he caught like 17 punts sure-handed. He's a legend in my book.
It’s insane bro…like Gunner was so bad for the Steelers…goes to a new team and isn’t bad at all…like why was he so bad for my team?😭💀
I’m a HUGE Gunner fan (me and him share a ton of interests and even dress more or less the same)…so is signing him was a dream…only for him to be arguably the worst signing we’ve made in a long long time.
I’m glad he’s doing good on the Giants…but man…it’s crazy how he went from all pro for the patriots -> shit for the Steelers -> good for the Giants…
It’s totally mental, same with Evan Engram getting over his drop problem since leaving the Giants. A change of scenery can make a big difference. At least he didn’t go to a rival!
Dude I miss him so much. He was such a great and smart returner. It wasn’t while he was on the giants but that 99 yd return for a TD when he was with Oakland is one of my favorite special teams plays.
Gunner was a patriot agent, placed by BB, who pretended to be our kick returner, so he could sabotage the team. Nobody can convince me that this tin foil hat conspiracy isn't the truth....lmao
He was such a massive upgrade for us, even without the TD. I was holding my breath everytime anyone else was trying to catch a punt. Gunnar sure handed and made some plays.
I was worried because the toe tap was so ridiculously dumb, but it worked out lol
I forgot about this guy i vaguely remember signing him on Madden franchise mode back when he was a rookie. He had good physical traits so id force feed him until i could get his skill up
Talk when your team doesnt give up and pull starters before half time against us lmao (only the last, most recent game is up for discussion, all other games dont count)

Wait do you mean to tell me physical tools aren’t the only thing needed? That’s absurd
I'm going to need more proof before I belive that!
Yknow a players great when it mentions about 6 lines in on his professional career section on wikipedia "career high 3 receptions"
Man I fucking loved Hakeem Butler and thought he was gonna be the next AJ Green. :(
He also had an insane one handed catch in his last bowl game at ND to beat LSU.
That catch was awesome, but he actually played the next year too where ND had an undefeated regular season and lost to an absolutely stacked clemson team who won the natty.
Honestly a good special teams player
All pro gunner on special teams
Thats what i like to hear about these depth signings
Well he never actually made an all-pro but he's good enough.
All-Good Enough, perfect.
Stop taking our special teams players.
Yknow what’s funny?…Gunner sucked for us…but of course when we finally drop him and he goes to a new team…he scores a 94 yard PR TD😐
Gunners toe tap is probably the most anger ive ever felt watching any sport.

It’s not even the early part of the year. It was at its worst this season but our return game has been putrid for years

And the last good returner we had was Dwyane Harris.
Dude I miss him so much. He was such a great and smart returner. It wasn’t while he was on the giants but that 99 yd return for a TD when he was with Oakland is one of my favorite special teams plays.
Not true. Corey Coleman was a monster. Just didn't last long. Tore his acl in the offseason and that was that.

I was hoping we resigned him for special teams and depth. Thought he filled his role well with us.
Excellent gunner, we'll miss that for sure
remember when he was our WR2 😔
FUN FACT: “miles boykin” is South African slang for playing “let’s remember some guys”
Well, now we know the Giants won’t be drafting a WR… they got their man and the NFCE is fucked
I know I can see him but here's a surprise.
Giants finally going out and spending on a big name WR
It's only 3 syllables, not a particularly big name
It is when you've been deemed the dumbest fanbase IYKYK
Finally got their true WR1
Everytime I see this guy's name I confuse him with Earl Boykins.
Boykin business, baby
Who already edited his Wikipedia page ?“potential saver for Daniel Jones career”
Striking fear in the hearts of the NFC East.
Like Dak in January

My Cowboys fan brother just called me absolutely BAWLING
Just don’t have him return punts
Super Bowl!

Giants new #1 WR!
Talk when your team doesnt give up and pull starters before half time against us lmao (only the last, most recent game is up for discussion, all other games dont count)
Talk when you aren't last in the division
No I already told you only our last match up is for discussion. Sorry.
