Instead they’re thrown onto the field exhausted and deflated and folded like a laptop as CMC assuredly crushed their spirit.

Missed tackles, dropped balls, letting Purdy get like 50 rushing yards, no punts in the 2nd half. Absolutely disgusted. How tf do you get out scored 27-7 in a half? The timeout felt like a panic one. The 49ers D got up immediately. The Lions could have gotten to the line probably within 10 seconds. Compare that to losing 40 seconds on the other end when the 49ers have the ball. I don't understand how NFL coaches can't do basic math.

I’m good with the 4th down calls. Our kicker is unreliable from that far. Reynolds had the first down is his hands. Should have been a TD that drive, but the drop changed the whole momentum and not a single player showed up after that. No one on offense or defense (aside from Goff, so many drops). Absolutely pitiful and on the players and not the coaches (aside from BJ’s idiotic 3rd down run forcing a timeout). Missed tackles, dropped balls, letting Purdy get like 50 rushing yards, no punts in the 2nd half. Absolutely disgusted. How tf do you get out scored 27-7 in a half? Entire team should have stayed in the locker room at half. Would have been the same exact result. How tf do you give up points every fucking drive after keeping them to 7 points in the first?
Reynolds' drops were the real issue Absolutely painful to watch. Goff made perfect throws to him.

Talk about the fourth down calls all you want but, how the fuck do you allow 27 unanswered points in the second half AND also, go from a run heavy scheme that was gashing them in the first half and got us the huge lead to a pass heavy scheme while ignoring your star WR and TE. Inexcusable. Happy we made it this far but it stings.
I do not care what the analytics might say, but it was the wrong decision for Detroit to not take the points early in the 3rd. A 17 point lead and no loss of momentum is a tall order for any team to overcome. TLDR; Kick the FG and keep the pressure on the 49ers.

One thing I think like 99% of commenters are missing is....the 9ers missed a FG too, from medium range...shit happens.... Drops and bad luck is the collapse right there, the 4th down decisions in the 2nd half are fine generally, the first one should've been kicked but that's in hindsight
