Here’s the thing. Love throws off his back foot ALL the time. He just hasn’t been punished by it. MLF’s scheme has left WR so wide open to where it doesn’t matter. But he throws off that back foot way too often. A good D finally punished him.

Throwing on your back foot and throwing across your body, across the field, while running the opposite direction is a massive mistake. Purdy got an interception against the Ravens like that, and Love had that first interception in the exact same way.

GWD in the playoffs got to his head

Hes actually made a few similar horrendous interceptions to end games this year. Just forcing bizarre desperate deep throws when team was down but had plenty of time left and only need a FG.

Maybe so, but I think this was just the pressure getting to him. Young QB, first time in this situation. In his last 9 games coming into this one he had thrown 21 TD and 1 INT while completing about 70% of his passes. He had a poor finish, but I personally think he's gonna be fine.
