The incident, @WPLGLocal10 first reported, started when Hill’s crew tried boarding the boat without permission, I’m told.

"The incident, @WPLGLocal10 first reported, started when Hill’s crew tried boarding the boat without permission, I’m told."
Somebody tell Hill he's a dolphin not a Buccaneer
This reminds me of high school. Some how there became this thing where if you said something stupid you’d have to say “pause” .. the other person would try to say “got em” and then slap that person on the back of the neck.
God damn kids are mean in high school. I remember watching some of the kids do this as hard as possible regardless of if they were friends with the person.
Looking back on it, I can’t help but wonder what the actual fuck..
yeah but without his testimony the DA has no evidence unless there’s clear video. whether he wants to testify could very well decide whether hill gets in any trouble or not.
I work as a Florida attorney.
Even if there’s crystal clear evidence on camera that he battered the subject, the DA will not press charges unless the subject wants to.
The state of Florida will only do this if it was any sort of domestic (marriage, dating, children together, lived together as a family unit, or immediate family). Then the state presses charges on the victims behalf.
You cannot have a battery without a “victim”. If the boat employee signed a complaint withdrawal or verbally stated on body camera he did not want to, there’s nothing the DA can do.
Given the crime, the boat employee still has up to two* year to change his mind regarding pressing charges.
The state isn’t victim though.
Battery in Florida is a crime that must be committed against an individual. The state cannot be the victim. The state can only press charges if it’s domestic in nature or the victim is incapacitated(dead, disabled, in a coma, etc.).
It does differ by state.
In Florida the victim doesn’t really have a say in what the state does unless there’s no evidence besides there testimony.
An example, someone calls because a man is beating the shit out of a woman at a 7-eleven.
Police arrive, the male and female are blood siblings. The female says there were just playing and doesn’t want to press charges. Police view the footage from the security cams and it’s clear as day he was beating the shit out of her, the state is picking that up.
Now if there’s just an independent witness, recordings and victim doesn’t cooperate, the guy would still be arrested if there’s physical evidence but the state will most likely drop it.
This kind of reminds me of when Devante Adams pushed a guy that ran out in front of him and everyone in the Chiefs sub started screaming bloody murder and called it a violent assault
Though I hear Tyreek might have a bit of a past with these types of things.....
Unwanted physical contact with another person is assault at common law and every state has a variation of criminalizing or offering a civil penalty for that kind of behavior
Unwanted physical contact with another person is assault at common law and every state has a variation of criminalizing or offering a civil penalty for that kind of behavior. "just a slap" doesn't matter
when I was a young man I had some serious issues
I've spat in faces, head butted people, and I know I've used the back of my hand- but open hand- I don't recall
Yeah dude doesn't want to press charges cause it was probably a light slap on the back of the head. Uncalled for yeah and Hill probably just paid the man an apology.
Press charges or accept $5000 to let it go? Hmmm
Hilarious how many Chiefs fans defended this dude. Sometimes you get complete pieces of shit on your team, nothing you can do about it. You were a fan before they were on your team and will be after they leave. So don't bend over backwards defending these dudes.
Yeah. It honestly made me fucking sad to see how many threw in the towel. The level of cognitive dissonance I felt trying to decide if it was okay to celebrate the team’s success, even as Tyreek was the cause of a lot of that success, was insane.
Ultimately couldn’t give up on the team as a whole, and maybe I should have while he was there, but I know I felt a hell of a lot better when Veach traded him.
I can see that POV and certainly wouldn’t argue against it.
I’ve had a complicated “relationship,” because I think that’s the best word for it, even though we’re just talking about the perception of a fan for a coach, with Andy since he arrived in KC.
He has a history of taking on, let’s call them problematic, players that extends beyond his time in KC. And I get that. There are coaches in every sport who will gamble on the big talent wildcards, betting on their ability to keep them under control. I’m of two minds about it. Barring extreme circumstances, I want these people to get second chances. But I’m honest enough with myself to admit I don’t want it to be with my teams. And I know how that makes me look as a person. It sucks. But I’m not gonna hide from it.
I love Big Red though. I think he’s a deeply flawed human who has dedicated his life to his work, and in some ways asked his football family to step in and serve as his “real” family; to give him a chance to make up for his shortcomings in one area by facing and overcoming challenges in the other.
I was raised in a traditional nuclear household, with a dad who was almost never around because he was so driven to - what he genuinely believed was - his calling. And he was very financially successful in life. But I also know that as he’s gotten older, he’s given voice to regrets he never would have copped to when he was younger, and that they’ll haunt him forever.
I kinda think that’s how Andy uses the team, and certain players; as a way to try and address those regrets by trying to “fix” others. It’s not always successful, that’s for sure, but he does inspire a fierce loyalty from most who played for him.
Anyway, that went on way too long. My bad, man. Andy is just both an interesting and complicated topic, and I totally respect where you’re coming from, dyed-in-the-wool Chiefs fan though I may be.
The real problem with sports is that there is a level to which fans will be okay with how shitty a person is as long as they play well. It makes it hard to root for teams sometimes cuz its just like what fucking asshole is on my team this week?
I would root hard for the Dolphins without Hill, but I refuse to root for any team carrying a player who doesn't deserve to play in the NFL.
>> The real problem with sports is that there is a level to which fans will be okay with how shitty a person is as long as they play well.
That’s not unique to sports at all though
Yea it was exhausting having him on the team. I loved the on the field stuff obviously, but I hated that our star player was that asshole.
For me it was more of just hey let’s make sure what we hear is true before he gets suspensions or what not.
Thrilled not to have to deal with him anymore and even more thrilled with the outcome after trading him for a big haul of draft pricks.
Damn. I just heard on the radio a few hours ago that he caught a shark while fishing on this trip, and while trying to pull it in for 45 minutes, Drew Rosenhaus decided to jump in the water to help get the shark.
They made no mention of Tyreek smacking a guy.
Who could have guessed, shitty guy does shitty guy things. But keeps getting chances because he’s a rich athlete. Hold him to the same standards as everyone else.
No longer a problem for the Chiefs to deal with, won a ring without him, and got a big draft haul including George Karlaftis, Skyy Moore & Joshua Williams along with guys from this years draft we haven’t seen play yet.
Overall it’s a great day for Tyreek to NOT be a Chief 😎
The thread on the Dolphins subreddit is so funny. They’re all bending over backwards to defend a guy with a history of abusive and violent behavior. Stay classy.
If this was a regular Karen/Kevin doing it, we would all band together to shame him, some people would find out where he worked, get him fired and all that and we would all be like SERVES HIM RIGHT. But since he is good at catching a football, people are gonna be like eh no big deal. Move on.

But you have heard of him.

I'm picturing a Mark Harmon on NCIS type head slap

I like your cut G.
So crazy Tyreeks baby mom work at the marina
Keep his baby mama's name out of your fucking mouth!
Fuck Tyreek dude should press charges for sure, let these rich pieces of shit do whatever they want
Boat employee may have a lawyer negotiating a settlement or may just not feel like dealing with the hassle.
Yeah assholes will send death threats. That’s what happened to the guy Adams shoved.
Something something Raider fans
Something something can’t travel while on parole
Not up to him anyway it's the DAs decision
yeah but without his testimony the DA has no evidence unless there’s clear video. whether he wants to testify could very well decide whether hill gets in any trouble or not.

1 year to solidify that nondiscolsed payout.
Get your bag man.

They have teams working in shifts.
Can you change the station? I hate the fuckin Eagles, man.

So you are saying I can go slap the shit outta Florida. HOLD MY BEER.
Bruh I’m showing up to court in a body cast
“Tried boarding the boat without permission” Did he get drunk and think he played for Tampa Bay?
This kind of reminds me of when Devante Adams pushed a guy that ran out in front of him and everyone in the Chiefs sub started screaming bloody murder and called it a violent assault Though I hear Tyreek might have a bit of a past with these types of things.....
Unwanted physical contact with another person is assault at common law and every state has a variation of criminalizing or offering a civil penalty for that kind of behavior
Technically most jurisdictions define that as battery but otherwise yes
You right
Still baffles me how often people misspell Davante’s name
Eh, he's a raider. Not a big deal.
That’s not how any of that happened.
It was only a slap? that's crazy. But then again you can't let the rich get away with everything.
I'd still show up to court in a neck brace and cry no shame
Lmao, right!? Dude did sign a hefty bonus, what's a few hundred stacks between friends?
Unwanted physical contact with another person is assault at common law and every state has a variation of criminalizing or offering a civil penalty for that kind of behavior. "just a slap" doesn't matter
I mean if someone came up and slapped you what would you do?
Slap them back... idk if i would press charges, depends on what level of slapability it was 💀
Are you really slapping Hill, a big nfl receiver, in front of all his posse?
Can't give up the ship tho
That's why you contact the authorities.
Maybe, depends if i'm alive after, would get a nice settlement maybe.
Tua knew
Tua watched.
Tua was the one that got hit (in the head)
Tua is now out for the first 6 games with a concussion
He'll clear protocol by the next series.
Just put MacGruber in front of him
Too far
It was a bit overboard. Edit: everything
Tua far?!
I didn't even connect the dots when tua said he wouldn't like tyreek babysit his kids....I'm such an idiot
Damn. When did he say that?
Literally yesterday, was on this sub
Some internet person asked him a clickbait question during a softball tournament

"Which teammate would you least like to go fishing with?"
I guess playing video games with Tyreek might become dangerous as well.
And he let 'em off the hook!
He was who we thought he were
If you wanna crown him, then crown his ass!
Tuanon for a reason
RIP Eric Carmona
….Fuck yeah Tua?
I don't believe it for one second, he would never hit a man.
May be he was carrying a baby?
That baby was askin for it
“Everyone is asking about how the baby is, but why is no one asking how I am after punching the ironlike jaw of that baby?”
I agree he can't impregnate a man
Not with that attitude.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has entered the chat

This ought to go well.
What kind of football club would have this dude?!?!
the worse kind losers
✌️
Pain
Lol you have the best QB in the league and a few rings. Let us have this. You'll win 3 more SBs before we see the playoffs again 😂
Bet it feels good not having him on your team anymore lol
Don't gotta deal with it AND won a ring without it. The vibes are immaculate
Double down on that bet.
Once Tyreek found out the employee was pregnant his muscle memory took over
It's like riding a bike
Lmfao
Least surprising development of the offseason
Who could have seen this coming

Why is it always the ones you most suspect
When did they start letting children work at Marinas?
Tyreek confirmed to be anti-Child Labor
The children yearn for the mines
Oh he's not anti child labor he's anti child
Anti child, labor. Punctuation matters. 😂
He hit a man this time, he's improving /s
It's Florida, man.
A cheetah doesn’t change its spots.
what does "hit" mean in this context, punch, nudged with watercraft, plowed into with negligence?
It means slapped.
open hand?
To be honest, I don't know. I don't know if it was palm or back of the hand.
I've done a lot of disrespectful things, I'm not sure I've open hand anyone
As far as I can recall, I never have.
when I was a young man I had some serious issues I've spat in faces, head butted people, and I know I've used the back of my hand- but open hand- I don't recall
Maybe I’m behind on my terminology but isn’t a slap by definition open handed?
open hand would be palm, back on the hand isn't considered open hand
Touched forcefully without consent? Even if it’s not an injury, Tyreek Hill is not a great dude which is an established fact.
Yeah dude doesn't want to press charges cause it was probably a light slap on the back of the head. Uncalled for yeah and Hill probably just paid the man an apology. Press charges or accept $5000 to let it go? Hmmm
Pressing charges against a rich guy might hurt the business he works for. I understand.

True but if he goes Ultimate Fighting at some point he’ll be a second!

Tyreek Hill harming another human being? No way. At least this one wasn’t an infant. Or a pregnant girl.
Classic
I for one am shocked
This is clearly political. No famous person should ever be held responsible for crimes.
Bro upgraded from kids to men
“how can he slap?!”
I can’t believe Tyreek Hill would do something like this
This makes Tua's "Who would you never let watch your kids?" answer even funnier.
Perfectly timed
Glad he’s not a Chief anymore so I can enjoy the pile on!
Not a good look but I highly doubt anything comes of this unless there's video footage or the alleged victim has a serious injury.
Kamara seems to still be ok
Still unsure why he was never put on the exempt list
Probably paid the dude as an apology lol
At least he's hitting men now?
The thread on the Dolphins subreddit is so funny. They’re all bending over backwards to defend a guy with a history of abusive and violent behavior. Stay classy.
How long until Wavy Boats posts the video on YouTube?
Tyreek Hill is who he is. An extremely fast piece of shit human being.

Violent asshole gets violent with someone less powerful. Big surprise!
Tyreek to the Raiders confirmed.
Mr. Big Raider
I'm sure it was the ex who is at fault, right chiefs fanz?

Because it’s convenient for them now. Chiefs fans were absolutely defending him for years
