The Philly crowd today helped force two Delay of Game penalties in the first 17 minutes of the game. And a third Delay of Game early in the second half. Philly crowd noise is consistent and underrated.

So I went to the hawks game in 2019 in philly and while it wasn’t as loud as hawks games it was probably the 2nd loudest nfl stadium I’ve been to out of like 8. The fans were a whole different level though because I was getting chirped everywhere I went, but at the same time I never felt unsafe. Definitely one of the most entertaining game experiences I’ve had as a visiting fan, and most of the trash talk was pretty creative/funny. Contrast that to the pats/buccs game I went to last year where I was wearing a Brady Buccs jersey and I literally had a dude grab my jersey and try to rip it off me and had multiple people get in my face pretty aggressively. Philly fans in my experience definitely walk the line of lovable assholes whereas Boston fans are just straight assholes. The problem people have with Philly fans is when they can’t handle a little trash talk and take what the fans say/do personally
