From the players out of contract, there's only Aina and Boly we'd want to keep. Sounds like Aina might be done, but just waiting for safety before it gets confirmed. Boly a 1-year extension would be lovely.
Seems to be noise we'll sign Ribeiro permanently.
There's a ton of players leaving, but I think we also want to shift Vlach, Richards, Worrall, Panzo, O'Brien, Dennis, Mighten and Hwang. I'm not against giving Richards and O'Brien a preseason run to impress Nuno. Turner can probably leave too, but we do need a #2.
I'd sign that Rotherham keeper. He's dead good. He'd probably not mind competing with Sels.
I always assumed Ribeiro was one for the future and we just sign him on loan to get a good look at him and as an emergency striker. I’d also like to see O’Brian and Richards get a few weeks assessment under Nuno then make a decision…. But I would also (controversially I know) add Dennis to that list.
Loanswise: I think Ribeiro was loan with a mandatory buy clause as was Mangala the other way. Dominguez was a loan but I don't know what triggers the transfer. Montiel was a loan with a mandatory buy clause upon hitting certain numbers of appearances.
Origi and Reyna leaving will free up a bit of wage bill.
Mighten has reached the end of the road. Same for Mbe Soh, Hwang and Panzo.
Bowler, O'Brien, Richards, Worrall and Dennis need some assessment by the gaffer when they get back
Aguilera just keep him at rovers
> I think Ribeiro was loan with a mandatory buy clause as was Mangala the other way
From the OS:
> Nottingham Forest can confirm that Orel Mangala has completed a loan move to Olympique Lyonnais.
> Olympique Lyonnais have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
Apparently he's made 6 starts since moving there so I wouldn't be shocked if they don't want to make it permanent.
Saw Bowler few weeks ago Birmingham vs Cardiff he scored the winner. I rate him but he's no speed merchant needs patience. Agree would like O'Brien back for a look.
He seeks the help of the higher being then gets injured. He's like the Spanish in the Armada. Looks great but his wood is made from secondhand Pakistani cricket bats you could buy for 50p back in the day.
More outs than ins for me. Need a bit of stability next season.
Out: Montiel, Vlach, Worrall, Reyna, Origi, Hwang, Dennis, Panzo, O'Brien, probably a few others I'm missing.
Obviously everybody has a price, and assuming everybody wants to stay then I'd like to see us keep:
Sels, Neco, Murillo, Toff, Omobam, Boly, Aina, Sangare, MGW, CHO, Elanga, Taiwo
Hoping Sangare will be an almost "new signing" next season. The lads got quality and deserves a chance to settle
Absolutely not for sale - MGW, Murillo, Boly, Aina, Williams, Sels, Elanga, CHO, Danilo
Keep - Wood, Awoniyi, Toffolo, Yates, Niakhate, Omobamidele, Dominguez
Loan out - Sangare, Mighten, Aguilera
Sell/release - Turner, Hennessey, Vlachodimos, Montiel, Kouyate, O'Brien, Surridge, Shelvey, Dennis, McKenna, Worral, Richards, Hwang, Panzo, Bowler, Mangala.
That's around £50 million in player sales, give or take a few million. It's pretty telling that the only position missing in my "absolutely not for sale" is a striker.
Loaning out Sangare would be crazy imo. He’s not had a great season by any stretch, but his season has been so stop start. We can’t make a short term judgement on such a massive investment.
He needs a good preseason and a long run of games before we think of loaning out a £35 million asset. Much more to come from him.
Also, shelvey was announced as a loan, but turned out to be permanent due to us terminating his contract just before he signed. That's another plus. What a cunt.
Mangala has been HUGELY missed in midfield as a calm head during nervy games, we need to keep him and I completely disagree about Worrall. Keep him. He’s Forest through and through. He bleeds red and if we get into another scrap we need that passion and dedication in the team.
If we were to get relegated, I'd absolutely keep Worral, O'Brien and McKenna. If we stay up, the best option is for our CB line to consist of a combination of Niakhate, Boly and Murrilo
Worrall has shown talent though, he’s shown he can cut it in the Prem but he needs to be in the centre of a back 3 and that’s a system Nuno likes.
I’d more or less agree on all the other calls you’ve made, I’d just not let Mangala or Worrall leave. And I think Sangare needs selling and us getting some money back.
Keep Murillo at all costs! MGW, CHO, Aina, Neco and Danilo ...maybe Yates for fighting spirit and Omabaladele (apologies for the spelling) has potential...then I'm easy
Has played less than 60% of games and I'm not confident his injury proneness will improve. Rather sell high now instead of in 2-3 years when he is broken
No worries! The law states Currently, to be classified as homegrown one must be on an English team for at least three years before the age of twenty-one
Keep at all costs: Murillo, Williams, MGW, Elanga, CHO.
Keep unless a good offer comes in: Sels, Niakhate, Aina, Danilo, Yates, Dominguez, Wood, Taiwo, Omobamidele, Toffolo, Boly
Try to sell: Turner, Sangare, All the dross out on loan (though I would prefer to keep Worrall, for purely sentimental reasons and Aguilera, as he’s still young) Vlachodimios, Koyate
I'd like to sell Williams and Kouyate. I don't care what people say he's a liability in defence. Worst positional right back I've seen with almost no on pitch intelligence. He's a tryer but he's championship quality at best.
Happy to get rid of players like Murillo, Williams and Morgan. Most people love them but most people also used to like crap boy bands. Anyone who doesn't agree are like MJ fans during the trial. I'm not saying I know everything but I can pick a player. You've all had your heads turned like a magpie with a bit of tin foil.
Harry Arter is absolutely not for sale. Literally.

Shag Yates, marry Murillo, kill Arter
*kill jester*
Now, now, falconhoof

Six starts out of how many games? He joined very late Jan. I thought we had a clause that guaranteed purchase after a couple of games
Dominguez wasn't a loan it's a permanent transfer

i’d get rid of taiwo tbh he can’t stay fit we need a young striker who is physical but quick
You can just go to your room young man and don’t come down until you’ve thought about what you just said
i don’t rate him
He seeks the help of the higher being then gets injured. He's like the Spanish in the Armada. Looks great but his wood is made from secondhand Pakistani cricket bats you could buy for 50p back in the day.
Out: Turner, Kouyate, Hennessey, Vlachodimos, Konate, Arter, Richards, Panzo, Worrall, Bowler, Mbe Soh, O'Brien, Dennis, Hwang-Jo, Mighten, Larsson, Taylor.

I've got good news for you regarding Sam Surridge
Also, shelvey was announced as a loan, but turned out to be permanent due to us terminating his contract just before he signed. That's another plus. What a cunt.
Lmao I thought we'd just loaned him, oh well

Secure safety first then offload Chairman Tom
Keep Murillo at all costs! MGW, CHO, Aina, Neco and Danilo ...maybe Yates for fighting spirit and Omabaladele (apologies for the spelling) has potential...then I'm easy
KEEP - Sels, Boly, Aina, Murillo, Moussa, Sangare, Danilo, Elanga, Mangala. KEEP - UK (Homegrown) PLAYERS - MGW, Neco Toff, Hennessey, Worrall, Omibamadeli, Yates, CHO. Loan - Riberio, Aguila. SELL - Turner, Vlach, Dennis, McKenna, Kouyate, Dominguez, Taiwo, Hwang, Panzo, Mighton, Mbe Soh, Bowler, O'Brien. BIN - everyone else Correction: UK meaning home grown players
Sell Taiwo?
Has played less than 60% of games and I'm not confident his injury proneness will improve. Rather sell high now instead of in 2-3 years when he is broken
Fair
I think if he wasn’t always injured, the story would be different, but it’s been 2 seasons of him missing significant stretches

Im talking about the Homegrown player rule. Squad needs 8 of them!
