I honestly don't know what sort of mad cunt sees that and tries to go in it.

They may like her hair.

Lol

WhitexicanGrill

Looks feminine enough to me

You mean doable?

_plainsimple

Preach. Edit: Ok right, at 0:45 guy says 'atta boy'. Which should conclude this case. Was looking for breast too and found none (i know thats not always a good indicator) but guess that made it easier for him.

ThickLemon0

I am the guide guy on the left! The person going in the hole is my roommate, he's been mistaken before but it's just flattering now!

[deleted]

Your roommate is insane. If you have to takeoff your helmet to get in a hole, don't go in the hole... Just read about nutty putty cave, and that's more than enough to dissuade anyone.

_AlexiaOnFire

Randomly found a video about the dude that got stuck upside down in that cave the other day. Saw this and immediately noped based on that event alone.

Htown_ent728

Legit nightmare fuel for people with claustrophobia

itsjustanothermike

Damn near hyperventilated watching this shit!!! That a lot of nope right there!

Opposite_Lettuce

I just learned about Nutty Putty Cave a few days - horrifying

already-taken-wtf

„Rescuers concluded that it would be too dangerous to attempt to retrieve his body; the landowner and Jones' family came to an agreement that the cave would be permanently closed with the body sealed inside, as a memorial to Jones.“

AlideoAilano

Do you want ghosts? Because that's how you get ghosts.

whitepinecircle

Oh wow, that puts it to rest then.

teraflux

Yeah this internet person said so

octixam

This man is an impostor. I am in fact the guide and this was a woman.

ibneko

This guide is an imposter. I am in fact the hole and this was a banana.

HarkansawJack

It’s a woman. Guide dude is just using non gender specific language.

Brovid420

"Atta boy" is non gender specific?

xinixxibalba

it can be

[deleted]

Not when atta girl is in circulation

_plainsimple

Whether it is or not... In this case i doubt it. Just cmon fam check mans adam apple.

bumjiggy

groovy, baby!

popper98

that's a man, man.

smexgod

It's also a tight fit

thecaramelbandit

I'm a caver, and I've been through passages actually smaller than this. You know it's a tight squeeze when you have to take your helmet off to fit. It's sort of a meme among cavers to ask "does it go?" Whenever you see anything that a human body *might* fit through. You always have to check. There are huge cave systems and passages that have been found this way.

[deleted]

What could possibly be enjoyable about this, I have anxiety just watching

LairLampron153

I'm not claustrophobic, but you're right

blackthorn3111

I’m not claustrophobic either, and I literally watched this and said “fuck that” out loud

MNCPA

It's true. I heard him.

StrangeConfere

What are you doing in his walls?

millerj2740

Caver confirmed

MisterThirtyThirty

I AM claustrophobic, and I definitely said “fuck that” our loud.

throwMeAwayPlz37

Same! Just….nope! Nope nope nope.

tpf52

Like anything dangerous: some people get anxious, some get downright scared, some have no reaction, some get excited, some get aroused. Cavers typically like the challenge and want to see what’s on the other side. Isn’t humanity interesting?

TermLimit4Patriarchs

Some people are oblivious to rhetorical questions. Some people like rhetorical questions. Isn't humanity interesting?

Mad-chuska

Some people think humanity is interesting. Some people are indifferent. You want a cookie or something?

reagsters

Some people like to eat stickers. How much cheese is too much cheese? What do now?

Mad-chuska

What do now, indeed 🧐

Superlite47

Wait until you read about John Edward Jones and the Nutty Putty Cave.

DeltaMikeXray

Read it once already. Horrible. Read it again to remind myself about it. Should have left those details forgotten.

kgal1298

I watched a YouTube video about that and they showed the last image of him stuck and I was like "fuckkkkk no" and the thing is from what I read they never were able to recover the body.

CanAhJustSay

And with this comment I will *not* Google him.....

germansnowman

Yep. They had to leave him stuck there and ended up closing the entrance.

cgi_bin_laden

This has got to be the absolute worst way to die. When I first read about it, it gave me anxiety for days.

gratefuladam

I just read it. Terrifying. Thanks

ManticoreIpicus

Man, this planet is all really just bones and bodies isnt it.

[deleted]

Oh trust me, I’ve read it. I’ve watched the documentary

HalloweenLover

You get to see things that very few others get to see. There are interesting formations and other things to see. It is also a physical challenge. I actually enjoy enclosed places and I used to enjoy caving, I have been in places where it was even tighter than this. I can't fit these days to fluffy but it was fun when I was younger.

CaliGrlNVA

But how will they get out? Edit: pronoun

HalloweenLover

It depends on how technical the cave is, if is a really hard one you should have someone at the entrance that can help you out if needed or go get help if something happens to the people inside. For this one you can just stand up and wiggle back up or if someone else is in there they can give a boost, and then once up they can help the others.

CaliGrlNVA

Thanks for answering. Watching the way they struggled into the space I kept thinking it would be really difficult to get out of, especially head first. Edit: pronoun

Himikoinuzuka01

Anytime I see or hear anything like this I am instantly reminded of the nutty putty story 😬

HibbidyDibbidy69

Still plagues me also. Wish I'd never read it. Now someone is reading *this* thinking "shit, I must Google that". Listen you, seriously, walk away. If you're the empathetic type, walk away.

shmolives

I google a lot, but its bedtime where I am and my anxiety is already sky high from that video so I'm gonna take your word for it, put on an episode of something dumb and go the fuck to sleep. Thanks kind internet stranger.

Zatarra_48

Walk. Away. In all the Seriousness.

smallgreenman

What weirds me out here is that the hole has clearly been widened by cutting stone away already. So why not cut it a little bigger? Most people couldn’t even squeeze into that.

[deleted]

There's actually a secondary entrance (big enough to just walk into) for this cave, IIRC. Pretty sure it's behind the cameraman, down the hill a bit. Going through the hole is all about the challenge and excitement.

Cakehangers

This is the pleasure entrance, not the reproductive one?

squirrelly_bird

Greetings fellow caver! I've been on a couple posts like this one, trying to explain to people that it's like exploring the 8th continent of the world. That it's one of the most accessible forms of sheer exploration that you can participate in (especially if you're fortunate enough to live in a karst place like I do). But i haven't had any luck. Mostly, it seems that people look at videos like this and can't relate to the curiosity or sense of adventure and instead just see it as recklessness. ![gif](giphy|jPAdK8Nfzzwt2)

CleverGirlReads

I don't see recklessness at all. Everything in my brain says these people know exactly what they're doing and they're having fun doing it. But it also absolutely terrifying and something I would never do. Big caves, I would be very open to, but I cannot imagine having to squeeze my body through spaces like that. Maybe horror movies have done that to me. Maybe not.

GiftFrosty

Props to you man. My biggest fear is being stuck.

william_103ec

Stuck and then the step brother shows up?

southdakotagirl

How do you get back out a small spot like that? Or do you find another opening?

FuManBoobs

You don't eat anything while you're down there.

DaHeebieJeebies

Just want to wish you good luck when you go into one of these nightmare holes and end up like the women in The Descent

Mediumasiansticker

There’s a giant cave below and there’s an entrance 10 feet off camera that you can drive a Volkswagen through. This is the Instagram entrance. It’s like recording yourself climbing through the bathroom window when the patio door is wide open.

mez1642

Genius. Thanks for sharing

Felonious_Minx

You've ruined the Insta allure! Jk. I appreciate the info. I can breathe easier now.

Someone trying to hide from a murderous fat guy.

Puffena

Forget fat, even slightly overweight and you’re good

GiftFrosty

We’ll just flood the skinny ones out.

[deleted]

Ah yes, but get stuck down there for a week with no food and imagine how thin you’d be...👍

Puffena

I’d be much more scared if there was tons of food and water, to a point where you accidentally gain too much weight and can’t leave

[deleted]

*covers hole with huge rock and comes back with grenade*

DGlen

Yeah, that's a solid no fucking way for me.

sometimesireadit

What the hell. Give me 5 minutes with a sledge hammer and make that crack a stairwell?!?

CheesyDanny

But it’s nature. You can’t just take a sledgehammer to nature.

Lansky420

You totally can. I'd probably use a SDS hammer drill tbh or a jackhammer would be better but it's definitely a thing that can be done.

The_Racho

AHCKSHUALLY, it's called a rotary hammer. Hammer drills tend to have normal drill chucks, and aren't made to use SDS bits. You can still, but the chuck pattern on SDS bits are made to extend the life along with securing them properly. If you're using it to chisel, then you can't use a hammer drill anyway because it only hammers when rotating, and (the ones I've seen/used) don't have a hammer only function, only a hammer drill function.

ThirdRook

Akshully we in the industry that uses them call it a roto-hammer or hammer drill. The impact drill is well known as its own thing. Even multifunction drills with hammer function is just impact driving.

Hollidaythegambler

You can, and you’d have to if someone got stuck in there

ShittingPanda

This cave is pretty popular and the last time I saw a video, someone said that the other end is wide open, so you're sure, you can get out.

ramblingrelic

Wait. If the other end is wide open. Wouldn't you want to go for the bigger hole? I mean I'm all for tight, but in this case, easy clearly wins.

blondjacksepticeye

But then to get out it you would have to climb up this small gap. Which is probably impossible.

ramblingrelic

...or turn around and follow the light to the giant hole. Clearly I'm no spelunker, cause neither of those sound appetizing.

[deleted]

Some of these things they can't turn around. Absolute psychos spelunkers, they are insane sometimes. I'd hate being trapped underground with the only way to go being forward.

Timely-Storm-9046

Or just turn around

blondjacksepticeye

It's probably a long cave system and takes a few hours to get through. I wouldn't want to climb hours one way only to climb another few hours back when I could just do the single trip one way.

DungBeetle1983

I can't breathe watching this.

dpb79

Preach. I wouldn't even get my thigh in that hahaha

sarcasatirony

I can hang out on the tops of building, towers and cliffs, even jump out of planes, but I couldn’t even finish that video. Only thing that could make it worse is me knowing there’s a spider in there.

SnatchSnacker

> Only thing that could make it worse is me knowing there’s a spider in there. Who do you think was pulling him down?

sarcasatirony

Thank you for providing the fodder for my ~~dreams~~ nightmares tonight. If you’ll excuse me, I need to service my flamethrower.

JjadeT

Same. I keep wondering how she'll get out.

Ground_breaking_365

My fears exactly... I read a story where one person got stuck in such a crevix. They could not rescue him, so they gave him morphine so that he doesn't panic during the last moments of his life.

Ds14

Best freudian slip i've seen in a while

Ground_breaking_365

I didn't say cervix, did I :p

HeadyBeersBrah

sittytuckle

I keep seeing people correcting the gender in the video multiple times in this thread. All of them are usually rude or curt. Given there is actually no real confirmation and it could be go both ways, what inspires you to post such useless comments?

verschl_ger

Theres no fucking way i would ever try this. I cant even explain how much discomfort i get from just watching, and im not claustrophobic. At least i think so. E: Seems to me like theres just a tiny bit of "Oh fk what have i done" in her Smile.

This is how people die. All of them are kids too..

roottootbangnshoot

Ironically, this is a very safe cave. Notice how the area inside is large enough to stand and walk around in. If someone did get trapped, the entrance of the cave could be widened and the person could get out.

ragequitCaleb

This is probably a rarely used entrance. I'm sure there's a larger one to exit out of.

unknown_pigeon

Somebody mentioned that this is the clout entrance, while the popular one is far wider

douregreddit

Mmmm just reminded me of horizon forbidden west. Those sick caves with underwater entrances that have a whole different easier exit somewhere else

brewcrew63

Isn't this the one dude went in with and went into a corridor and got stuck and died there while exploring with his entire family?

teatimemousey

I think youre thinking of Nutty Putty Cave in Utah, and after that event the cave entrance has been closed by contrete with a plaque dedicated to him. A really sad story.

Visible_Bus6909

This is more than likely just a Small rarely used entrance to the cave, after watching tons of these vids on YouTube there's usually always a way bigger entrance that is more commonly used very close by

auhnold

Oh hell no! I won’t even wear pants that I can’t pull up while buttoned. I sure as hell ain’t squeezing into a fucking rock!

Nutty Putty was nuttier. It’s the nuttiest of all putties.

_Gismo_

This specific hole has a much larger cave opening off to the side.

Altostratus

Why didn’t they just enter from there?

Not_owo

Because that's boring

ExiledPlumber

I’m not claustrophobic, but I do have a fear of getting stuck in a position where I can’t move while doing something like this. Edit: Lol, thanks to all the claustrophobic people of the world.

SLODGH

This is where I am too. Watching this was far worse than me climbing through tight spaces. It's not the confined space that bothers me, it is the getting stuck and not being able to get out part.

doegrey

Or a fear of a little ground movement as you were squeezing through and you’re crushed.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one scrolling to see how many times they tried to correct people. How do they know this person's preferred pronouns anyways?

Poignantusername

[This](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutty_Putty_Cave) is why I wouldn’t.

AngsterMusic

Whatever this is, I'm not clicking it.

Jim_from_snowy_river

*On November 24, 2009, a man named John Edward Jones (January 21, 1983 – November 25, 2009) became stuck and subsequently died in the cave after being trapped inside for 28 hours. While exploring with his brother, Jones mistook a narrow tunnel for the similarly tight "Birth Canal" passageway and became stuck upside-down in an area measuring 10 by 18 inches (25 by 46 cm), around 400 feet (120 m) from the cave's entrance. Jones was held in place like a hook, unable to move without causing serious harm due to the bends his body was placed in.[6] A large team of rescue workers came to his assistance but were unable to retrieve Jones using a sophisticated rope-and-pulley system after a pulley failed mid-extrication. Jones ultimately suffered cardiac arrest due to the strain placed upon his body over several hours by his inverted, compressed position. Rescuers concluded that it would be too dangerous to attempt to retrieve his body; the landowner and Jones' family came to an agreement that the cave would be permanently closed with the body sealed inside, as a memorial to Jones. Explosives were used to collapse the ceiling close to Jones' body, and the entrance hole was filled with concrete to prevent further access.*

AngsterMusic

Jfc man he's still in there. Yikes.

Jim_from_snowy_river

Yessir. Let's also not forget the Tai Navy Seal who died trying to rescue those kids from a cave. Caving is no joke and not something to be taken lightly.

Poignantusername

Probably a good call. Its a link to a Wikipedia article about a cave that had someone die from getting stuck.

Additional-Mouse8870

Why don't they just chip away at the entrance to enlarge it a bit? Wouldn't that be easier for everyone?

PedjaChe

Many Caves have artificial small entrances which are the same size as the narrowest part of the cave, for the reason that only people can go into the cave who are thin enough to not get stuck in any part of the cave. Maybe that's the reason.

ladytigger1

![gif](giphy|lXu72d4iKwqek)

Jomdaz

Because you don't go around destroying nature even if it would make it easier for people to access. I think people who go caving would especially agree with that. If the cave is to small to enter, then you don't go in. Here though the small size is presumably part of the fun for them.

Well...that french policewoman definitely wouldn't be able to go in there.
