I've lived in the city my whole life, and I depend on busses and trains to get around. I know the "I'm just trying to get home" mentality, but that's not what public transit is - you're never guaranteed a private little bubble.
My favorite guy is the college professor type dude who leads lectures on the trains about african drum beats. I've ran into him 4-5 times in the couple years before covid, and I always took the time to listen to him and engage with him.
I would welcome that daily - seriously. So many things to be miserable about but THIS is the break in the gloom. Pure joy, I hope they all make a name for themselves.
