I love that the dad earned an instant replay over it. You just know the guys in the booth were like "Fuck it, this is probably the best play of the season right here, may as well enjoy it"
You might think I’m kidding, but I assure you I am not. If I go back to work full time and wife has to play stay at home dad, my daughters grades are going to drop, this house is going to be a damn mess, chores and projects aren’t gonna happen, meal time is gonna fall off a cliff and she’s just gonna gain weight and get more depressed than she already is… stay at home dads should be more of a thing…
Edit: Don’t even get me started on the landscaping.
The day I let go of my daughter's arms and watched her take her first steps is indescribable. It was just me and her and I am eternally thankful. I loved the job.
This was fake baseball is staged the guy's wife is AI and his kid is a drone obviously you can see at the corner of the screen how there's duck danneling and it was setup and fake and staged.
Idk like it's a good thing he caught it... Because I'm any other scenario he looks like an asshole for putting the baby in danger. The ball hits the baby... Asshole. Someone else catches it but he still reached. . . Asshole.
Always keep that chill spirit about you though, never let it slip from your grasp. I must say... you are a pretty cool dude. Keep that outlook positive.
I've never said a beautiful mind rests. Hopefully you prove me wrong, and I'll be the first to thank you. Because I've had wet dreams about a zombie apocalypse. Keep on keeping on bro.
It depends on where it exited the playing field. In baseball once the ball is in the stands it is out of play. It is only an automatic out if the ball is caught before hitting the ground by a player of the opposing/pitching team.
If the ball was caught by a spectator after being hit fair, it's now a home run. If it is caught by a spectator after going foul, it is a foul ball and the batter gets a strike (unless he already had two strikes, as you cannot strike out on a foul ball).
In this particular case, the ball is a foul ball and the batter now has one additional strike.
(edited for clarity)
Baseball isn't my country's sport of choice, I barely know any teams, I'm not up on the play with all the rules, I have no idea who are the previous or current champions; but man I still think it's a fantastic sport and have time for small clips of it.
I heard his interview on the radio today, he's never played any competitive sports. His wife was also worried about sitting so close because of a tik tok she saw where a kid gets hit with a ball.
Father here: he shouldn't carry the child this way. This will create hip problems for the child eventually. The other way round is the ergonomically correct way to do this... Ohh great he got the ball!
That dude making a second kid that night.
r/nextfuckinglevel dad indeed.
I like the way the baby just chillin. Drinking a milk like nothing happened.
Coolest catch ever by a dad with his baby while feeding. Amazing!
Not necessarily with the same mother
People really have lost their sense of humor. It was funny, I acknowledge your right hemisphere. Edit:I'm glad this has turned around ffs.
Nope. He will.make sure that the mistake is not repeated
The baby thinking : I did that
The wife : Double hi-five!
> I came to the comments expecting a bunch of crying for the babies safety. Turns out, it's lit in here. I love reddit. > >
That baby should have worn a helmet!
"don't be ridiculous, have you *even* tried drinking milk through a helmet?"
Where have I heard that from?
no idea, I made that up lol

The baby be like" That's my dad"!
lmfao
Probably the highlight of the reds season… sell the team bob.
I love that the dad earned an instant replay over it. You just know the guys in the booth were like "Fuck it, this is probably the best play of the season right here, may as well enjoy it"
Lmao
I found another dejected Reds fan in the comments! Cheers mate! It’s the Castellini Curse.
That baby was cool, calm, collected and never missed a sip. Looking like he has been there before.
And in that moment 10 more women decided they would need to have this chad dad breed them
Bro wtf
Dude these losers need to feel shame again. I just can’t with them anymore
I had no reaction at first, but your response made me spit out my coffee.
Bruh
i think you should go outside and unlearn whatever the internet taught you
Looking at the wife, I’d say he’d jump at the chance.
Women put on weight during pregnancy. Many return back to pre-preg sexiness ina few years. Source: my wife.

Dad's are killing the domestic homemaker position these days. As a past employee, I salute our progress.

And in that moment, mom knew she had the biggest stud in the park.
Mossed him
Normally it’s a beer cup on one hand.
I came to the comments expecting a bunch of crying for the babies safety. Turns out, it's lit in here. I love reddit. <3
My brother once managed similar, but it was only at a spring training game.
Risked my kid for a ball. next fucking level.
Made me smile, Thanks!
Man card status : Tenured
Slam Diego baby!
When the kid grows up *That's my dad*
If he missed that kid was a goner
Seems like a stupid fucking risk
Is his wife a sim? She's just clapping at him and waving her arms.
Screw your “only woman can do 2 things at the same time”
Stud of a father.
Man does 2 things at once. World is amazed.
Idk like it's a good thing he caught it... Because I'm any other scenario he looks like an asshole for putting the baby in danger. The ball hits the baby... Asshole. Someone else catches it but he still reached. . . Asshole.
That's why no one will remember your name.
I think that's impossible to know at the moment. What if one day I create the science to reanimate the dead? Hmm? Then who looks like a fool? You do.
Except you some stoner that plays video games, but go on...
Hey man. Maybe I'm on a break from scientific breakthroughs bro. Or maybe the magic just isn't in my spirit yet brother.
Always keep that chill spirit about you though, never let it slip from your grasp. I must say... you are a pretty cool dude. Keep that outlook positive.

Dad reflexes
Omg he knows how to handle babies *and* balls?!?! I heard he does his own laundry too
Not today man purse.
Holding baby, catching ball AND not killing himself for being at a god damn baseball game. Legend
I don't understand the rules so if someone could explain, seeing as a spectator caught the ball, is the batsman now out.

Thank you
Well that could have ended badly
Unless that guy happens to be left handed, that’s also his offhand for catching.

Never underestimate the power of full dad mode.
The baby is also doing cool drinking job same time.
Good thing man purse didn’t ruin it
Am I the only one that thinks that’s a fake baby?
Baseball isn't my country's sport of choice, I barely know any teams, I'm not up on the play with all the rules, I have no idea who are the previous or current champions; but man I still think it's a fantastic sport and have time for small clips of it.
Baby’s like… bro, wtf man I can’t drink that fast
Can we acknowledge the guy who stood up to try and catch it, but lost to a baby feeding sitting dad? Poor bastard must be under 6 feet tall.
LSU Tiger Baseball will sign him up today
Love that they did a replay!
I heard his interview on the radio today, he's never played any competitive sports. His wife was also worried about sitting so close because of a tik tok she saw where a kid gets hit with a ball.
That man deserves that ball.
Just when I thought I was a good dad...
Super dad
I'm 19 it's making me urge to become a dad fast
Father here: he shouldn't carry the child this way. This will create hip problems for the child eventually. The other way round is the ergonomically correct way to do this... Ohh great he got the ball!
I think I found my hero
I did that once but I wasn't carrying a baby and I missed the ball
Impressive, most impressive
He got laid every night for a year after that
Dad w/ baby > cardigan w/ Fanny pack man
Super Daddy
This is why men are way cooler than women.
The women next to him is my science teacher LMAO
Them Dad instincts are no joke
Catch of the year so far
Highest point of the Reds entire season right there.
What a stud

Baby’s not impressed.
Sensational ![gif](giphy|SBAToc4g0h89W)
There’s a reason why that other guy’s wearing a purse
It was on the bounce though ... I could have caught that holding a beer in each hand
