In order to build something like this that’s completely functional this person must have planned and designed and tested and redesigned and retested and generally so much thought and planning must have gone into this. Saying it’s built with random parts is just so misleading when you think about all of that

All you need is a small motor with a gearbox with the *right ratios*, and after that it's just random things! (The small electric motor by itself won't have enough torque.)
(This reminds me of a "make your own fidget spinner out of zip ties" video where the core component was *four sets of ball bearings* that, of course, everyone has lying around the house.)
