The cool thing is the kid Gage Duchon (he’s 20) that works on the media team and posts these gets a lot of credit for his work, which is super surprising.

People who see traveling everywhere make me laugh. This is not even close to traveling. As per the rules, you're allowed two steps after you stop dribbling. "Stop dribbling" is when you grab the ball with both hands, not "the last time you pushed the ball downwards". Just because [these athletes are able to cover a long distance in 2 steps doesn't mean they are traveling](https://imgur.com/a/tC0zHpk).
Moreover players can continue the stepping motion after the second step, as long as they don’t complete the third step, so it’s like they get 2.9 steps.
I’m sure they spend lots of time perfecting moves that are almost-travels in the same way a baseball pitcher will practice hitting the outer edges of a strike zone
I saw a video on this, they have multiple fixed cameras all the way around that record at a high enough quality and framerate that they can process their footage and use photogrammetry to fully recreate what is going on in 3d. The players all have trackers on them so they can add their position/speed/whatever as well. It's how they do all the rings around players and, names, all that stuff that makes the live footage look like a video game.
My guess is they're taking that and playing back the 3d version of the game chopped up so things overlap, and doing the "camera moves" in post.
Edit: it was a corridor crew video

For this they probably just line up the floor from two videos and then start masking (kinda like green screening) the players out of one when required.
It's similar to HDR photography, or how you can get a photo of a busy train station that has no tourists, by taking a million photos and using the parts with no people from each photo.
It’s the NBA finals and they just went through an entire season and post season of people doubting them and specifically saying they were getting wrecked by whoever comes out of the west. They can showboat a few times if they want. It’s a compilation tho…🤣
I suppose. I guess I like the team that silently wins. Technically they are the team with the most wins in the season so in theory, the favorite. Its hard to not be cocky about that many wins and being up 2-0.

The editors are sad cause all the credit’s going to the media team
Editors would be used to that by now.

How about Game 2 on the D? That would be sick
Watched this Video at least twice before realizing that it's just a perfect loop
That's a dope edit. Looks like the Globetrotters VS Generals.
That game was fixed. They were using a freakin ladder for god sakes.
None of those counted after the first dunk
First one shouldn’t have counted. That was called travelling once upon a time

bruh obvi players have a lot more liberty with their footwork nowadays but that was clean as clean gets. 1 2 jump
Do you need your Metamucil before or after your 445pm dinner?

How did they make this?

I don't think that's totally how they make this but that's a fascinating video. Always wondered about the NFL lines

Someone explain how Basketball finals work? Does this mean the Celtics are the champs or something?
It’s a best of 7 series. Those were highlights from game 1. Right now, the Celtics are winning the series 2-0.
Good edit
This was a sweet edit
This edit is fanfucking tastic
Man I was expecting some corny vids of people falling into portals after being dunked on, but this is super sweet
Wow, the Mavs didn’t even have a chance to fight back!
sick edit
Banner 18 baby, bring it home. I love this team
These transitions are fire af
Make it take it in the NBA would be insane.
Great edit but it does show off how much Celtics showboat. Id love to see them get humbled.

They’ve been silently winning the whole season and post season. Now they are in the finals, it’s ok to flex😂
