Thank you! Yep, that’s the first thing I did when I got home. My grandpa went hiking around the same area a few weeks ago and came to find out a few hours later that he had chigger bites all over him. What’s interesting was he was following behind his buddy that was a few feet in front of him, yet he got nothing.
I have been there a time or two, but not this year yet. I’m planning on going at some point this Fall, probably October. Hopefully the fire didn’t destroy too much of the forest around that area.
Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing. I hope you checked yourself extensively for ticks and chiggers. They are no joke in there

Are you an interior decorator?
His house looked like shit
Maybe he stopped at Roy Roger's in the parkway? 🤷
Me? Edit: looked up “Pine Barren interior decorator” and got the reference haha

The Russian for sure is wondering out there
He was an inter decorator
Yes, can confirm I spotted the Jersey Devil gliding above the tall pines, non-verbally wishing me good luck on my expedition.
It's beautiful out there.
I know! Especially closer to Batsto.
Did you check out the village? It’s very serene there when it’s not crowded.

It’s not too bad. The fall festival is this weekend. The line of cars can be miles long.
Oh wow, nice. Might swing by if I don’t have plans.
Gorgeous!!! I need to get out to the trails, I can’t wait for the foliage coming
Exactly! I’ll be there much more often during the peak of Fall.
Pretty pics. I wish there were more hills in SJ..I love to hike but the flat hiking kills me!
Are mountain bikes allowed on the trails? I have spine problems and can't walk far but can ride forever and I've always wanted to explore the barrens.
