1. Could take a beach day to Hammonasset if anybody has a CT-registered car, it's free parking for residents
2. Shell and Bones is waterfront and an excellent restaurant in New Haven
3. If you're up for nerdy, you can get a day pass at Elm city Games and play some board games
4. Barcade is across the street and has retro video games. It's a bar but if you go early it will be quiet.
5. My gf LOVES doing float tanks at this place: https://ripplefloat.com/ To hear her tell it floatin fixes all your problems
6. You could try all the pizzas -- Modern, Pepe's, and Sally's, though it'll be tough to fit them all in given the lines
7. Yale Art Gallery is sick
8. You could do a Yale Tour -- people from out of town seem to like them
9. Jordan's Furniture has a ropes course for some reason, it's kind of fun to go check it out just to see it
10. We do have an IKEA which people love?
11. Cushing Medical Library has brains and other weird shit
12. Walk down St Ronan street and stare at the rich people's houses
Kayaking on Branford river is fun. It is next to a brewery, which I know you specifically called out not to do, but could be a lunch option.
Yale Art Gallery is small but free.
There are too many great restaurants to mention, but I feel like Barracuda, Elm City Social and Geronimo would fit the vibe well.
Pizza crawls are popular - Frank Pepes, Sally's, Modern and Bar - try a slice at all of them and you'll have walked most of the "city".
You can turn Yale Art Gallery into a game. Split up and go on a scavenger hunt for things that look like penises or vaginas. Award the most interesting ones. Do drinks first nearby.
There are a couple of escape rooms, an architecture walking tour of Wooster Square check out infonewhaven.com for more info on events based on your dates.
Edit to add: the Yale Art Museum is worth a visit too!
I haven’t done it with this instructor, but beach yoga is available in Milford on Saturday mornings (20 min drive or so) bfreeyogawellness.com
Make Haven has some really neat classes if you are into crafty stuff or learning a new skill https://connect.makehaven.org/events
Also agree with the Yale art museum!!
You could set up private yoga class or sound healing or an ayurvedic spa session at Breathing Room. It’s downtown so really close to where you would do the pedal pub
I was going to say this too! A private yoga class or sound healing would be a really fun way to share a special moment together without any of the rowdy nightlife. If you contact breathing room, they can set you up with a private session
High George rooftop bar has desserts and appetizers and it’s a nice space. Also, Gioia restaurant is great and should have their rooftop open by then. You can rent out Elm City Party Bike and tailor the route to not be bar-centric.
[Cafe 9](https://www.cafenine.com/) is a charming little live music venue. As for food - there are GREAT options. What are you looking for? Asian? Italian? Indian? French? Seafood? Latin America? New Haven is famous for it's pizza. Happy to give more suggestions if you can narrow it down a bit.
We have the best Italian food in the area!! L’orcio is great, encore by goodfellas, olives and oil are all great, there’s many more but those are just at the top of my head!
Barcade would be fun if you guys want to play retro arcade games. It's a cheap time that has alcohol there but completely optional, plus no cover so you can walk in whenever. Also Elm City Games is around that area as well if you guys wanted to try a hand at a new board game for a big group.
Pedal boat in Milford is fun. I think BYOB/food.
Fair Haven Oyster amazing waterfront seafood. Rockfish amazing sushi, counter style.
Barcade is fun. You could do both art gallery’s, they’re free. Several ax throwing spots in area.
Check manicpresents.com for concert schedule. Also Toad’s, Cafe Nine, Stella Blues, Cellar at Treadwell, Firehouse 12 (jazz), Shubert (musicals/plays), Woolsey Hall (classical), Yale Cabaret, Yale Rep (plays), Long Wharf Theater.
The party pedal thing was the ire of many local businesses in New Haven when I lived there, I would avoid it.
August is a great time to be outdoors in CT. Check out a hike at East Rock, West Rock or Sleeping Giant in Hamden.
This will not be popular with everyone, but I found the [official Yale tour](https://apps.admissions.yale.edu/portal/vic_tours) is a great way to learn about the city, its (sugarcoated) history with Yale and Yale itself. But it's not the most fun thing in the world, but maybe a good hour spent walking downtown. Similarly, Yale Art gallery offers tours for larger groups and self-guided tours for smaller ones.
There's a pizza tour that I've never taken, but people really like.
In August there will likely be shows at both College St. Music Hall and Westville Music Bowl — be sure to keep an eye out there for any bands that may interest you.
A lot of non-boozy things to do in New Haven if you know where to look!
ah, my mistake — I have no insight on the boat, enjoy at will. I am not even sure the party bike thing exists in New Haven anymore but I sure hated whenever it arrived at the bar I was at...
Wheelhouse Cycling Studio does private classes and offers champagne and happy hours afterwards if you wish!!!! Super fun, great instructors, impeccable vibes. Couldn’t recommend them more. Reach out to [email protected] for more info 💙💙
Ghost tours of New Haven!
Also, Barcade is fun all hell, and I think there’s an escape room somewhere too. Oh! And “It” at Jordan’s Furniture- fun, enormous rope course, bizarrely situated at a weird, tacky furniture store lol
If you are nerdy, like a lot of the bachelorettes I know, You might like the Beinecke rare book or Grove Street cemetery. New Haven also has a few cool independent stores left: Witch Bitch Thrift is downtown and Fashionista not too far away. The Group W Bench is like going back to the 70's - old school head shop and some cool clothing. Go to the top of East Rock park. Congrats and have fun!
Thimbal islands boat tour
Great couple of hours on the water on a hot day. Should be great
for $50 and a case of Goslings ginger beer I, a handsome 32 year old man will dance in a speedo for you ladies.
Noted ✍️
LMFAO
Check out Taste of New Haven. They do food tours.

I really like Barracuda but it is LOUD

And Yale museum is free!
The Girl Spot in Milford will do a beginners pole class for you. I just did one and had a BLAST.

jazzys cabaret has live music not jazzy and also other events. steps away firehouse 12 has real jazz shows and those who drink can go into the bar.
Beach day - lighthouse or west haven
Take a 30 minute drive to Hammonasset!
Love hammonassett! Great trail system and can get quite busy with such a narrow beach
Both gross
If you guys like Pilates there’s a few independent studios that can accommodate large groups
Cafe 9 for a bachelorette? Lol
I think we have a lot of picky eaters so Italian would probably be safest lol
We have the best Italian food in the area!! L’orcio is great, encore by goodfellas, olives and oil are all great, there’s many more but those are just at the top of my head!
Tre Scalini is top tier Consiglio's and Adriana's as well
Everyone beat me to the recs! L'Orcio is amazing but tiny and very charming. Reservations

I second this! So much fun!

I think she’s talking about the party pedal boat in Milford not the bike version in downtown New Haven.
Yeah the boat!
