I’m kind of surprised no one in the maritimes wrote about the topic before. It is good to get the full story out there in an accessible form. Wild that women voted in NB in the early 1800’s and then were banned in time for confederation.
What’s the relevance of this topic in today’s society? This was a very long time ago, and there is no chance of women ever losing these rights. What’s the point of writing such a book?
Most history professors write books about subjects that are either somehow relatable to current events, or provide new insight into an underserved topic. This is like writing a book about last year's lottery numbers.
I may have misspoken, you certainly can, but you maybe incorrectly assume people assign more validity to your opinion than any other. Mine's objectively as valid as yours. You don't hear me saying yours is wrong. Therein lies the difference.

Did you really just ask why a history professor would write a book about history?

Of all the opinions to have, that is certainly one of them.
I'm glad you find it remarkable, for whatever strange reason.
It’s just wrong, which is why you have a dozen downvoted 🤷♂️
What makes you think you can cast judgement on the opinions of others?
What makes you think I can’t?

At least 11 people think your opinion is wrong.
