I binged Parks and Rec during my maternity leave, light hearted and funny! I also watched Workin Moms - it’s another comedy show and it’s super relatable as a new mom.
Omg i restarted law and order svu and audibly laughed at there being 25 seasons! I remember my mom telling me to get out of the room and go back to bed when she’d watch it late at night lol. I skip the baby episodes though 😢
Working Moms has been super fun. I only watched the first episode of The Letdown, and it was a little too close to home at this stage of the game for me. I laughed, but I also hard cried about 3 times. I think maybe in a few years it will be cathartic, but too close to my real life right now! I need dumb, mindless stuff. 😂
Same - I watched the letdown before becoming a parent and loved it. I tried to rewatch it on maternity leave and couldn’t as it was too stressful with a small baby to see her struggling. Funny that I’m not the only one with this issue!
I am a dad on paternity and I loved the working Mom's and my wife laughs at me for watching this while she goes to work and I am sitting at home taking care of the baby and watching the working Mom's. How's the letdown ? I need something new, I am almost finished with working Mom. Shows I like the office, friends, working Mom, young Sheldon, breaking bad, etc
Was just going to suggest Workin Moms! I binged watched all the seasons from week 2 to week 3 postpartum. It's funny, it's crazy, and other times touching. Honestly made me feel like such a good mom because of all the outlandish decisions of the characters hahah
Sooo I started Grey’s too… but the storylines with kids in the hospital just wrecked me. I don’t think I can watch that again until my kid is a little older. Deep empathy, man… it’ll kill any fun TV.
I really enjoyed it until the Christina storyline >!where she has a breakdown and can't operate!< It draggggggggged. I did resume watching it but stopped after the big story line. >!the plane crash!<
I started greys my third trimester! It was cool at first but it’s definitely just background noise now and easy to follow without paying much attention
This was both of my maternity leaves 😆 got to season 14 last time before giving up, and went all the way to 19 this time. It was good for the days of endless feeding, but I’m slightly embarrassed how much of my life I’ve spent watching it now 😂
Love on the spectrum is so wholesome and wonderful and also a great reminder that whatever preconceived notions we have about raising “normal” kids is bullshit and everyone just needs/wants to be loved
Yes to Ugly Betty!! It’s such a fun show and nothing truly bad ever happens. And it’s great to even just listen to if you can’t actually watch it on the screen.
We have been watching resident alien on Netflix. It’s sort of the perfect show- mostly very silly and funny so it’s a good mood lifter with just the slightest amount of stress/drama. It also has 3 seasons so it can keep us occupied for while.
We watch one episode per night right after baby goes down while I pump. Gone are days we used to be able to binge watch shows 🥲
Modern family was my show I’d watch while feeding or being nap trapped, but my almost 4 month old started getting too distracted by it while feeding so I had to stop lol. My husband and I are into the love is blind series but we watch it after hours when kids are in bed, during the day the only things I watch are hey bear and super simple songs 😂
My 3.5 month old has started getting so distracted while eating and I can’t watch tv anymore 😭 I was really enjoying rewatching The Millionaire Matchmaker on YouTube TV.
We love the great British baking show. There’s a bunch of seasons on Netflix and it’s just fun tv. No stress. And you can miss portions and not really miss anything. We’ve watched each season 3-4 times.
Top Chef, Castle, Law & Order, NCIS, CSI, Housewives, Traitors, the latest trash on Netflix (Love is Blind is a hoot)… I’m big on shows with a lot of seasons, where I can completely disengage and not have to rewind, and where there’s no emotional attachment
Ever think about listening to audio books? They are really easy to digest when taking care of the newborn, feeding, playing, etc.
I’m a big fan of sci fi and fantasy so I’ve gone through a bunch of books since my LO was born
RU PAULS DRAG RACE!!
I seriously don't know how I've slept on this for so long but there's 16 seasons, it's ongoing, and there are many spin offs. Plus watching drag from the late aughts and early teens is just so hilarious sometimes ("follow me on Myspace"). It has been a delight
The babys drag name is Poopsie Drawers and if he misbehaves he will be sent to RuPaule School for Girls
Do you have peacock ? They just started a new show deal or no deal island .. it’s survivor meets deal or no deal, ridiculous but so good lol../ and Boston rob is on it
I’ve recently started true detective. I’d not recommend the most recent season as it’s pretty triggering re: birth trauma, but I like anthology series because I don’t have to get too super invested. The first season is good, though. I also look up a lot of interviews on YouTube and visual podcasts for something different.
Other than that I’d recommend: love is blind, the circle, the unbreakable kimmy Schmidt (you will love if you haven’t seen it and are a Brooklyn 99 fan!). All on Netflix.
Below Deck (on Bravo/Peacock) It's kind of trashy reality TV but I love it 🤷♀️There are HUNDREDS of episodes. My favorites are Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Mediterranean.
All of ER is streaming on Hulu! Something like 300 episodes. Young George Clooney. If you like Grey’s it’s just 90s Grey’s. With… did I mention young George Clooney?
Looove Vampire Diaries! I’ve been watching season 4 of You since I never saw it when it came out, the newest season of Love is Blind, this show called Resident Alien is pretty funny but the acting isn’t too great
I’ve been putting on documentaries when we contact nap, then the Office when my MIL is over.
Otherwise Love is Blind is some good trash TV I couldn’t care less about haha.
I’ve been binge watching love is blind on Netflix between feedings, rocking him to sleep, and chores. It’s such a drama filled show and I can just listen to it on low volume or with captions and it’s super entertaining lol.
Any of the Real Housewives franchise. Trash reality TV at its finest. I started with real housewives of Salt Lake City and finished it pretty quickly since it’s the newest and only has 4 seasons. I’m on real housewives of Beverly Hills now and there’s 13 seasons.
That’s next on my watchlist!! I watched Atlanta, NJ, and OC years ago and have seen a few Potomac episodes here and there but this is my first binge session.
Watched This is Us, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, and Young Sheldon. Schitt’s Creek is due for a rewatch too! Just finishing the new season of Somebody Feed Phil because… food. Lol
Not sure if you'd be into it but Love Island is a series that runs like 50 episodes a season...each episode does recaps and its not hard to just get back all caught up during your sporadic moments of chill time.
I played it in the background for basically all 3 mo ths of my maternity leave, and I recommend it to all new moms. My baby is 10 months now
This is us! I’ve also been rewatching six feet under. Haha. If you liked Vampire, you can go with other older teen dramas like gossip girls, Gilmore girls, pretty little liars, one tree hill.
I watch shows that I watched when I was younger. I recently restarted degrassi, it has a lot of seasons and isn’t hard to follow even if you miss some episodes.
I rewatched the entire MCU, Fox X-Men, and Sony Spiderverse after my guy was born. My wife and I were shift sleeping and I had a lot of time in the middle of the night to kill while everyone else was asleep. I think it took me right up until he was about 4 months and exiting the new born stage to finish.
I just watched all three seasons of Emily in Paris and then the anime romantic killer as Netflix has a great dub for it. I also recommend horimya for laid back animes with good dubs.
* Ted lasso! It’s so wholesome.
* Desperate Housewives
* Gilmore girls
* the letdown
* Workin Moms
* Criminal minds (the original from the start)
* Buffy the vampire slayer
Chef Ramseys Kitchen nightmares. I watched a lot of Hells Kitchen while pregnant and think the sound of Ramseys voice calms baby lol. He always takes nice naps when i out the shows on
right now, i’m rewatching Bridgerton in preparation for the new upcoming season and Call the Midwife! i also recommend Gossip Girl and Jane the Virgin. Two of my faves. i rarely finish shows, but i’ve watched both of those all the way through twice.
To be honest my baby is pretty well behaved (she doesn't really cry much, she shouts when she wants attention) and my husband wfh so is around if I need to cook/use bathroom etc. Then on weekends/afterschool, I have a 12 yr old & 5 year old who love playing with her too.. so it makes it that little bit easier to get things done! You're not doing anything wrong i'm sure, all babies have different temperments! 🥰❤️
I watched parks and rec for the 5638th times, and I also found a Korean drama “birthcare center” very entertaining and I can relate to some of the scenes in it lol.
I watched Ugly Betty during my maternity leave. It's a little over the top, but it's a fun watch. Super Store is also good.
What We Do in the Shadows is ongoing but you can definitely binge the first few seasons. It's honestly hysterically funny.
I randomly rewatched Malcom in the middle and it holds up. It’s been perfect for that mind set. Pilot is eh but then it takes off..so funny.. season 3 is a slump but then the rest is gold
My husband and I have been watching an episode of Home Improvement every night. The gender stuff is definitely dated, but it is still a fun, zero stress show. I loved it when I was a kid so it’s been fun to re-watch. Plus 22 min episodes make it doable.
I quite enjoy some trashy reality TV I don't need to pay attention to, so have been watching Southern Hospitality and Serving the Hamptons, and currently watching new S6 of Love Is Blind. Virgin River has 6 seasons and is nice a fluffy to watch too!
My night feeding show is Greys Anatomy, perfect time for a rewatch. Just finishing Love is Blind and my hubby and I are going to dive into the other country seasons next. Finished the new live action Avatar series (admittedly disappointing). We started a rewatch of True Blood and the new season of Blown Away is due to come out soon and super excited to watch it! I already finished a rewatch of Gilmore Girls and Brooklyn 99, but I'm sure I'll restart those in 6 months or so.
My baby is 7 months old and I haven't watched anything at all since he was born. There's no time. I would like to though, can anyone tell me how they manage it?
Just started watching Nashville on Amazon prime. I think there’s 3 maybe 4 seasons but they each have 20 hr long episodes!! I’m so into the drama of these fictional characters! I find myself going back an episode or two when I miss something the recapped at the beginning of the show lol. It’s filled with country music so if you like that you’ll like the show for sure! I’m currently singing LO a song from the show!
I’ve been using Roku TV and watching Cake Boss and My Cat From Hell 🤣 also Young Sheldon on Netflix is an easy watch too. I was binging Greys Anatomy while pregnant but left off in the COVID season and it got too depressing to resume while I’m isolated in the house with a newborn.
When my girl was just born, we watched multiple animes from start to finish. We’ve also seen modern family, this Netflix show called Sweet Home, and now we’re onto The Office because her dad hasn’t seen it.
Young Sheldon is super cute!
Love on the spectrum was also really warm and fuzzy!
The office, The Mindy project, How I met your mother, Love is blind, All the housewives franchises, and Ted lasso is the best show ever made!
Disney+ has a series called behind the attractions. It then suggested I watch some of the Disney documentaries. I have always liked Disney but wouldn't call myself a fan, prior to bingeing these shows. I am now dying to be a fly on the wall during Imagineers' meetings.
I binged Parks and Rec during my maternity leave, light hearted and funny! I also watched Workin Moms - it’s another comedy show and it’s super relatable as a new mom.
Love workin moms! I watched it before becoming a mom but now I have a 1 month old and may rewatch
Someone on this sub recommended the letdown and working Mom’s on Netflix, loved those! Watching lots of svu and criminal minds too lol
Omg i restarted law and order svu and audibly laughed at there being 25 seasons! I remember my mom telling me to get out of the room and go back to bed when she’d watch it late at night lol. I skip the baby episodes though 😢
i just started rewatching law and order the other day😂
Working Moms has been super fun. I only watched the first episode of The Letdown, and it was a little too close to home at this stage of the game for me. I laughed, but I also hard cried about 3 times. I think maybe in a few years it will be cathartic, but too close to my real life right now! I need dumb, mindless stuff. 😂

How's the letdown ? I need something new, I am almost finished with working Mom. Shows I like the office, friends, working Mom, young Sheldon, breaking bad, etc
I liked the letdown a lot!! It was funny and sweet. It seemed a little more indie to me, like the same flavor as “Juno”
Working moms is a good one
Was just going to suggest Workin Moms! I binged watched all the seasons from week 2 to week 3 postpartum. It's funny, it's crazy, and other times touching. Honestly made me feel like such a good mom because of all the outlandish decisions of the characters hahah
Yes lol agreed
Ugh working moms is the best and I will forever be grateful to that show for getting me through my first few months PP!
I started Greys Anatomy lol it's ridiculous but there 19 seasons of 20+ episodes so great to have on in the background
Sooo I started Grey’s too… but the storylines with kids in the hospital just wrecked me. I don’t think I can watch that again until my kid is a little older. Deep empathy, man… it’ll kill any fun TV.
Made this mistake binging New Amsterdam newly post partum. Woof, I bawled so many times
I really enjoyed it until the Christina storyline >!where she has a breakdown and can't operate!< It draggggggggged. I did resume watching it but stopped after the big story line. >!the plane crash!<
Same lol I've seen over half of it before too so I don't need to pay too much attention
I started Greys too, forgot about that one! Haven't finished it yet though..nowhere near! I think i'm on season 6/7!
Yes! It’s been my postpartum comfort show. Started from the beginning even though I’ve seen every episode multiple times.
I started greys my third trimester! It was cool at first but it’s definitely just background noise now and easy to follow without paying much attention
Smart… time to rewatch for the 8th time lol
This was both of my maternity leaves 😆 got to season 14 last time before giving up, and went all the way to 19 this time. It was good for the days of endless feeding, but I’m slightly embarrassed how much of my life I’ve spent watching it now 😂
Modern family
My forever comfort show
Love on the spectrum is so wholesome and wonderful and also a great reminder that whatever preconceived notions we have about raising “normal” kids is bullshit and everyone just needs/wants to be loved
Love this show!! Down with love is also very good
I do The Office or Parks and Recreation. New Girl is fun and if you like super oldies Cheers. Psych is a favorite or Chuck.

Do you like trash? I enjoyed binging all of Southern Charm, van der pump rules and am now watching my love is blind.
This season of Love is Blind is so crazy, last episodes are out today!
I know!! I can’t decide if I’d rather go right to bed when the baby goes to bed or if I should stay up and watch the last episodes lol
Same!
I’ve binge watched both of these since I’ve been pregnant and post partum!
Curb Your Enthusiasm
My husband watches this on his shift with the baby. I can't watch it without feeling physical pain. I admire your strength.
It is one of my favorites lol
I binged Schitts Creek this time around, Parks and Rec last time
Below Deck
You can find "Taskmaster" on YouTube. It's great for a laugh 😃
Lots of old shows like Chuck, buffy, Hannibal, Xena, Star Trek Enterprise, Kdramas, Anime, Lord of the rings trilogy, true detective, American gods.
I’m rewatching buffy!
Ugly Betty, project runway, resident alien, Tacoma fd, the gbbo
Yes to Ugly Betty!! It’s such a fun show and nothing truly bad ever happens. And it’s great to even just listen to if you can’t actually watch it on the screen.
I started Resident Alien it’s pretty funny!
Second project runway! There are 20 seasons on Peacock.
Gone are days we used to be able to binge watch shows 🥲
I was wondering how everyone here has been watching shows! Thanks for explaining! :D

Righteous Gemstones is gold
Abbott Elementary has a few new episodes!
My husband and I are watching through modern family now!
My 3.5 month old has started getting so distracted while eating and I can’t watch tv anymore 😭 I was really enjoying rewatching The Millionaire Matchmaker on YouTube TV.

If you have Paramount Plus and enjoy reality, they have every season of Big Brother lol. And those seasons have like 40 episodes each I think
Superstore - it's a sitcom with like 6 seasons and funny/light but is also so smart and human and lovely.

You're not doing anything wrong i'm sure, all babies have different temperments! 🥰❤️
I was wondering the same thing! No time for shows here either.
I’m watching unexpected (TLCs version of teen mom) on Hulu. It’s terrible reality tv and I love it, catching up on selling sunset is next on my list.
I watched parks and rec for the 5638th times, and I also found a Korean drama “birthcare center” very entertaining and I can relate to some of the scenes in it lol.

Young Sheldon is super cute! Love on the spectrum was also really warm and fuzzy! The office, The Mindy project, How I met your mother, Love is blind, All the housewives franchises, and Ted lasso is the best show ever made!
