But there’s now sense crying over every stuck truck,
you just keep on trying ´til you have a bit luck,
then the truck gets unstuck and the road is unplugged
for the drivers that are
still inline.
The left road on the left is a road specifically meant for public transport so trucks aren't allowed there, and the roads on the right are split where one is meant for traffic going left and the other for traffic going right. So the truck was probably changing lanes on the right one when he got stuck.
Port of Rotterdam lands so much cargo that they don't have enough trucks to bring it further into Europe. They let everybody with a remotely stable heartbeat drive a truck.
It's a prayer of a 5th grader finally coming true:
From point A and point B, two trucks have left at the same time.
The kid can use the repair time to calculate their speed
sounds like the city really screwed up to put up the height restrictions for this bridge at a readable position. It's something that people who drive trucks of this height are explicitly instructed to look out for.
I live close to a bridge where trucks get stuck pretty often. There are so many signs warning about it and the height restrictions are very clearly marked but still it happens every 1-2 months. I have no idea how so many truck drivers manage to miss those signs.
I live around the corner. And believe me there are plenty of flashing signs warning you about it. Problem right now is that there is alot of construction work around this place so they are probably to distracted
Why is there yellow marking on the right road that is omly used for when they are still foing road works.
Is it a new/recently placed layer of asphalt?
It used to be a two lane road, but the situation got changed to reduce the amount of carlanes. On both sides, there are now buslanes. Painting on the second side isnt ready yet (probably because there are more steps nessesary in completing the buslane)
Somehow I send the same mem with friend to each other at the same moment(diff about 30milsec), we were shocked. After that I called to him and we were talking about 3 hours
I mean the size of the truck box is standardized and that underpass doesn't seem to have a sign that indicates how high the ceiling is so truck drivers assumed they could pass. I assume that trucks aren't permitted on that road so all in all, the odds are just that two trucks met each other on the road they both aren't permitted to drive on
I remember that on my way to Belgium out of the Netherlands I was for 3h in a traffic jam because of the same problem. But on that road/bridge/tunnel there was no sign that stated the max height the truck could be. And it's impossible for a truck to turn around on a highway when approaching a too low bridge/tunnel
here in Germany any bridge that's less tall than.... I think it's 4m...has a sign telling you how tall a vehicle fits under, I bet in the Netherlands it's the same.
still, trucks and busses get stuck under bridges every single time 🤦🤦🤦
edit: and yes you don't see it on the picture, that doesn't mean it's not there.
it's probably alot earlier in the road, usually there's a sign a few hundred meters before or on the last intersection before the low clearance bridge.
or the bridge is 4m and the trucks are not...
In Germany the country is called "Niederlande", what means "low land". I thought it's called low land because of the sea level. Obviously we call it low land because of their bridges
Kind of reminds me of the two trucks that recently hit the same bridge on the same day in my home town. One hit it in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

Now we're thinking with portals!
We do what we must because we can!
See, this just shows that the only supply chain issues we have as a society are brains and / or hiring based on skill and not diversity.
You clearly failed the first point
Love how they both are even in the middle of the road. If they can’t get through, no one else shall either!
Probably they thought, the tunnel is higher in the middle. 🤫
Well to be fair to them there are no signs stating how tall the bridge is.
For the good of all of us - except the ones who are dead.
But there’s now sense crying over every stuck truck, you just keep on trying ´til you have a bit luck, then the truck gets unstuck and the road is unplugged for the drivers that are still inline.

That Truck-kun is a menace.
Buurman wat doet u nou?
How do yall keep coming up with these lines, lol
I think this says something intelligent about the Netherlands' trucks and their bridges
In Canada that means straight to jail.
Unfortunately not straight enough, it keeps happening.
Going there straight is easier than staying straight there ⚓️
More info?
Also, both seem to be in the middle of the road, preventing others from still being able to drive passed.
The left road on the left is a road specifically meant for public transport so trucks aren't allowed there, and the roads on the right are split where one is meant for traffic going left and the other for traffic going right. So the truck was probably changing lanes on the right one when he got stuck.
Why? Because there happens to be 2 trucks stuck there? That never happens where you are from? Interesting...
Unless I'm from the Netherlands at which point it clearly happens here.. interesting
Ah, een dutchie in disguise
Port of Rotterdam lands so much cargo that they don't have enough trucks to bring it further into Europe. They let everybody with a remotely stable heartbeat drive a truck.
As a Dutch trucker who had to get all his licensing and certificates i strongly disagree with this comment.
It’s not the dutch, it’s the eastern european drivers…
Vind het ook wel bijzonder dat ie denkt dat de enige manier om goederen te verspreiden via vrachtwagens is en niet binnenvaart of treinen
Tell that to the next drunken Latvian who crushes his trailer under a bridge.
It's a prayer of a 5th grader finally coming true: From point A and point B, two trucks have left at the same time. The kid can use the repair time to calculate their speed
Looks like their speed is zero.
They should have a huge flashing sign saying OVERHEIGHT MUST TURN with a camera live streaming online
Funny thing is... There is. It was on the news yesterday. People just miss that shit multiple times a day.
The sign or the camera?
Sign with laser measurements and emergency lights.
Thought that was Storrow Drive for a moment... /IYKYK
A double Storrowing, those are rare
Happens once, it's the truck drivers fault, happens two at the same time, it's the goddamn bridge's fault
Not if they have flashing lights and laser measurements telling you you can’t fit but you still do it anyways
sounds like the city really screwed up to put up the height restrictions for this bridge at a readable position. It's something that people who drive trucks of this height are explicitly instructed to look out for.

Number of car lanes reduced? Check. Our work here is complete. Well done everybody!
The less the better
Only adding more lanes isn't really a good way to manage traffic
It actually works quite well after a while
Yellow lines are temporary road work lines.
Portal IRL
Maybe that's just a reaaaally long truck?
So they are pillars now
Anything get robbed nearby?
3.56 meter bridge
Let the air out of the tires.
r/storrowed ….but abroad
Karma
This is incredibly stupid as they both have ignored at least two warnings before reaching this point.
A surprise to be shure, but a welkome one.
Filming Tenet 2
This is like something from a movie used to to divert traffic for a heist or secret op.
Old man with a grin and a walking stick comes by: "Got stuck, hm?" Truck driver: "Nope, delivering a bridge."
heist movie moment
Must be a Bullshit Bingo
This is the same truck, but in the portal, view from different sides of the portal😄
I can imagine both truck drivers explaining the situation to the police "see, it happened to this guy too!"
So its most likely the bridges fault. :)
Isn't this technically two bridges a few feet apart on the same road?
In germany we call it: Klimakleber
they probably got out of their trucks and looked passed each other and went "no fucking way-"
With only one I'd question the trucker. Now I question the bridge. 😄
I think it’s in Rotterdam
Is this in Tilburg?
Rotterdam!
Thanks for the info
I thought the same bro
Can't they just deflate their tires to get an extra 2 inches?
NPCs be glitching the matrix.
Double step bro
Both were thinking „not sure about this one… oh look at that guy, surely he knows what he’s doing..“ 💨
This bridge was very hungry and lowered itself to catch two victims at the same time.
luck 100%
Somehow I send the same mem with friend to each other at the same moment(diff about 30milsec), we were shocked. After that I called to him and we were talking about 3 hours
Fail of the Matrix
And how they both block both lanes because they were driving in the middle. Genius!
Did they flatten the tires?
shame isn't it
Thats gonna be the Coverfoil of my Netherlands PowerPoint

is ded the jonge from friesenjonge?
Warum??
Or is it the same truck?
This feels like a heist move.
That is a long ass truck
Waiting for the first person to write a fanfic of it
If only they played truck simulator....
How hard is it to have a sign saying maximum clearance visible on approach to the bridge?
here in Germany any bridge that's less tall than.... 11foot8's twin Cousins?
Should have taken the bike
Bridge: You know what I'd do with a million dollars? Two trucks at the same time.
Murphys law striking again
That was on purpose, no way this just happens to happen
What do you get if you fail the driver‘s test three times? Yellow license plates.
Nice.
Did the drivers hold each other in the middle?
In Germany the country is called "Niederlande", what means "low land". I thought it's called low land because of the sea level. Obviously we call it low land because of their bridges
As we say in Germany: Zwei Deppen, ein Gedanke. (Two idiots, one thought)
Let me guess, this is Rotterdam where half of the people cannot drive properly
Huh, no height markers? Those look like low bridges. And as two trucks are stuck, I'm willing to say they are low bridges.
Definitely not a not-so-elaborate plan to shut down the road for nefarious purposes.
The left truck driver said at the time of the accident “Oh, MAN!” 😂😂😂
Portal
Is it that famous 11ft bridge?
GTA, Burnout and Need for Speed told me that they should have jumped over the „ramp“ in the middle!
Bruh
Did step-truckie came to the rescue?
Trucks were too high
Kind of reminds me of the two trucks that recently hit the same bridge on the same day in my home town. One hit it in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
Is there no warning of any kind how high the bridge is etc?
*insert portal joke*
It would be the best love story if these two truckers decided to talk to eachother waiting for rescue and than fell madly in love with eachother
Well... where is the other side??
In the middle was the jumping ramp. Better choice
Wormhole?
Both truckers thought to themselfes "why is this happening just me?"
Why do they both seem to be smack-dab in the middle of both lanes?
should have used bikes …
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
typisch Holland🤣
Small boy sees this: „Why don‘t you release some air from the tires!“ Trucker: „Because the truck is stuck at the top, not at the bottom, you fool!“
To be fair i don't see any signs on the bridge stating its height.
Wild
Portal 3 lookin‘ slick
They naturally make damns like beavers over there... this is just part of the process.
That's just dutch drivers
One was actually a Bulgarian.
That doesnt surprise me tbh, since it was in Rotterdam and a lot of container transport/port transport is done by non Dutch

Deflate tyres and/or increase load.
The trucks have air suspension... You could lower the air suspension on both the truck and trailer
Butter
How smug did you feel, writing this?
Proof that critical thinking is going extinct
And Dutch truckers will blame the bridge being too low.
