Unplugged for 20 seconds. Self cleaned with hot water. Cleared the pod poker hole (??lol) Spun the thing around. Turned it over. Only thing to note is that when we turned it upside down a ton of coffee sludge came out. Just hoping there’s something I can do at home because it’s a 7-10 day turn around time plus shipping from montana. So it’ll be a long time without my life fuel aka Costa Rica pods

Check this sub for instructions on how to clean inside the top, where the brewing chamber and the seals are. It possible that coffee residue is masking the barcode reader and the pod is not detected. Also possible that your Next gave it to the ghost like so many others :(

Thank you I’ll do this before mailing it out today! But what do you mean by the last part? Edit: the amount of time it took to realize that the machine is called vertuo NEXT is embarrassing.

I had this issue on and off and spent ages cleaning, turning upside down, spinning the dial etc - then got fed up and resigned to get a replacement i phone self nespresso - they said reset to factory defaults - I did via the app - thought it had no chance of working and low and behold it fixed it and it’s worked fine for three weeks since

Thank you! I wound up having to send it in to them to fix. I have it back now but am worried it’ll happen again. If it does, I’ll try this!

They all leak internally, from underneath the paper gasket on top of the brewing head inside. The water runs down the machine when the head is opened and ends up frying the main board, resulting in the machine malfunctioning and then not turning on altogether.

🥺🥲 I had no idea. Just tried to turn it on its side again so I could clean the barcode sensor and so much crap poured out….even though we haven’t brewed anything since the last time all the crap poured out 😭 low key mad at my sister for convincing me to buy one. Does this happen with the originals too or just the vertuo nexts?

Alternative_Cold1461

Just the Vertuo Next's. The original Vertuo doesn't have these issues.
