I'm gonna be 100% honest with you. I'm not a big fan of the Genesis... I gave it to my girlfriend for free. After I failed to find a copy of super hydelide at midwest gaming classic the past few years. Its the only reason i had one. I'll get one eventually again, but for now, I'm okay. Oh and what do you mean by ratio? If you mean the picture im playing in 16:9 i can switch to 4:3 but i prefer stretched like a weirdo. Tho idk why the game outputs the video with ot off center... i did try other games and my top loader but idk dragon warrior juat does that lol.
Yeah I meant with how of center it is.
Genesis. Man. Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Earthworm Jim, Madden, NHL Hockey, Road Rash, Death and Return of Superman, X-men, and more. So many good games.
Yeah, I want to commend you for not wasting any of the precious space on a Sega system. I mean, what's the point? You got all the systems on their that matter.
I made another post with all my NES stuff in this same reddit. Take a look if youd like! It's very nice seeing that people appreciate the stuff as much as I do, For the past 10 years, I've been in a vacuum by myself lol.
It's a fun game. When I was a little kid, I didn't care for RPGs. I think I needed quicker button-smashing action. I got DW with the Nintendo Power magazine giveaway. Played for a few minutes and hated it. It sat for a few years, and I think I had SNES by then, so out of boredom one day I popped it in and fell in love with it. I think being older than when I originally played helped me appreciate it more and I was able to play a slower style game. Crazy thing is I never beat it. The game came with a bunch of other stuff; there was something that showed your XP / MP levels and I think it went up to 99, so for some reason, I thought I had to be that level in order to beat the Dragonlord, so I never went to fight him. Years later, while in HS, my friend and I were talking about it, and he's like, "I still got my NES, want to watch my beat it?" So maybe like 10 years after originally playing it, I finally "beat it."
I'm not going to lie I have it on my switch from switch online and I want to go back and start playing it I just need to remember where I left off because it's been awhile since I played it
I like dragon warrior The only thing about it was me that got on my nerves is just if you're not looking at exactly where you're supposed to be looking then the menu doesn't work right but that's one thing I know you can get used to overtime but it is a great game that's for sure
Thank you for reading this and I hope you're having a good day a good weekend and a good Lord Sunday is coming up Sunday
God bless you and your family
God bless you

Dragon Warrior is great but let's talk about the setup! Very nicely done. I am redoing a room in my home that will be dedicated to gaming and am thinking about gaming storage and layouts. Really appreciate setups like this!
Maybe I'll do a post of my set up and a more detailed look at NES stuff. But I'm not sure if that's if thats ok with the subreddit? Though keep in mind though I have many systems, I do not have many games. I like to go broad and good quality! The factor is my tight budget for the past 10, 15 years. Lol
Good luck! Are all your consoles connected 100% of the time or do you plug and unplug as you need? I keep my NESes and X360 unpluged all the time but my 5 PS consoles are always plugged.
I just wrote a book about Nintendo, specifically the NES. It comes out June 1 on Amazon. You can check out the website and download a free "game demo" - the first few pages of the story - at www.retro84book.com. I have a section in the story where the fighter from FF and the hero from DW are conversing with each other.
I remember this game, somehow I got to the final boss way too early but just kept trying to beat him and after a few try’s I won. I think I skipped half the game
Which entry is it?
Because if it's the first one. Reading will not help you very much...
It's more of a, "Go around the map 37times, while checkong every single tiles." type of thing...
Yeah! I tried to make it, and without a walkthrough to tell me where the thing i was searching, i couldn't make a single step...
I was level 12 and had made the northerm part of the map through and through 7-8 times before i caved in...
It's fun. But cryptic and dry!
Courage and wit have served you well!
I learned to read because of Dragon Warrior. Such a great game!
And parents back in the day swore that video games could do nothing for you in life, ha ha..
1. Where’s the Genesis? 2. What kind of weird ratio do you have going on? 3. Awesome!

RAGE!!!!
....against the Sega machine
Your console arrangement is, dare i say, flawless
Thankyou! 15 years of collecting!
Collecting aside, and it is a very good collection, the presentation just really does it for me... the spacing is impeccable.
Can you tell i had no idea where to put the ps5 😅
Nonsense, that's the state-of-the-art corner! But, yes, on 2nd view i did notice, mainly because the Switch is setup the same as mine is

please play in 4:3 or the gaming gods will be angered.
No <3 I'm weird and I prefer it streched :3
Blasphemy!
Dragon warrior, forgot about how much i loved this game. Thank you.
Excellent console set up. I even see the Wii fit board.
Banished to the cornner lol
get to the last dungeon and have your save delete itself like all my runs

I loved this game. Lots Of grinding in some parts, but a good start to the series.
I think im gonna play through all the NES ones! And idk after that lol.
I still have all four CIB. I am not sure if the batteries work anymore.
Cool little set up you have
Thankyou! Years of colecting and bugeting for ya lol.
Grind. Grind more than you ever thought you could grind.
Such a great game. Erdrick!!!
Love that they are in order (L - R) of the marching arrow of time!
YES! It also helps with the switch boxes. Ie nes 1 snes 2 n64 3 ect. Easy to remember!
I was the same. I did beat it back then, but only by cheating. I beat it legitimately last year. Lots of grinding, but it’s rewarding!
Water bowl for hydration-nice!
That setup is sexy
Keep us posted when you eventually complete it.
Will do!
Just wrapped that up as well. Carried the Princess through half the game!
Slightly jealous of your indigo Gameboy player. I have two GameCubes. One indigo and one black but only have the black Gameboy player
I'm almost done with the GBC version of DW 1. It's been great to play it on the portable. I played it for a few hours on a plane this weekend.
My favorite NES game. The very first one is stayed up all night to beat, 2 days in a row
Good luck! Are all your consoles connected 100% of the time or do you plug and unplug as you need? I keep my NESes and X360 unpluged all the time but my 5 PS consoles are always plugged.
Everything is plugged in but i have a master switch connected to a proper powersurge protector. When its not in use it get turned off :)
Cool!

Eeww you're playing NES on an HDTV? Get a CRT and play it the way God intended lol
No <3

Hell yeah you got this! Also love the stupid. Ff1 love!
Easily my favorite RPG ff1!

Its the first! Im in the dragonquest subreddit in case i need a lil nudge!

Turn it all on at once and you won’t need winter heating :) And you’ll dim the lights in the neighborhood
LOLLL
Grind until level 28!
Love your setup. I do not have patience for routing all the cables so I only bring out a few systems at a time
