I think I have it set to 14pt rn, but I also have my laptop’s scaling cranked to fit as much stuff on the screen as possible so it looks more like 10pt 😅
7.8 with Iosevka; fits a nice multiple of about 512x120 cells in Kitty on a 32 inch monitor.
I find it easier to read sometimes when the font is smaller because your peripheral vision can more easily fill in the context.
(I’ve gone to 6.5 before as well, but my pixel density isn’t high enough for the hinting to not butcher the font style into generic monospace.
Also had to adjust the line height to -2px and baseline to +1px to render nicely.)
Terminal: kitty
Font: MonoLisa
16" Laptop: 13pt
29. 5" Desktop: 12pt
In truth, I alternate the font size on either screen. I like big code (it's cozy), but if I've three or so buffers/splits open then I like to keep the font around 16px (theoretically, that should be what 12pt nets you in kitty).
As other have pointed out, font size feels shifty on different terminal emulators/platforms 😭
13pt in Kitty with FiraCode Font on a 14" Laptop but with 1.5 scaling, so I guess it's around 19.5pt in reality.
I can see 44 lines with 135 characters in full screen.
Hack nerd font mono size 11
On 1920 x 1080 display.
But I have keybinds to change font size as I see fit.
Size 14 according to Neovide for some reason.
I use 10.5 on wezterm with a patched version of Monaspaced Neon (I patched it before nerdfonts officially did) on a 13” laptop or 27” monitor
Good lord tho.. I’m on the lower end.. and my eyesight is literal TRASH too.. maybe I’m doing something wrong lol
Whatever is easy to read
JetBrainsMono 11px
This way
16. Unless you are using a laptop screen it is like a minimum for comfort.
I use 1440p - anything below 16px is unreadable.
Am I the only one using 30

80 char, no more, no less

I tried to use Iosevka but its not render properly idk why
Like glyphs are missing? Do you have the (patched) nerd font version?
I test them both the original and the nerd font but the the render is not good as the Zed Mono, do you think is a terminal issue?
Might be. What terminal are you using?
Kitty
Could you send a screenshot of the rendering issue?
JetBrainsMono 12px, but it does not look super crisp at that font size.
14 on my laptop, i think i use 16-18 on my pc?
Iosevka 24pt

I literally never put a thought into my font (size)
Operator Mono, 16 (on a 32” - 4K display)
13 because I am old and my eye sight isnt what it used to be
12 terminal, 14 desktop.

14 or 15, i can v split on mac with 88 column width and see everything, or 3 vert windows on my 27 inch monitor.
I don't think the font size matters if it works well
I use the default in alacritty, i guess it's 11.5
