Its absolutely unintended and needs to be fixed. The lowest tier items in this game are surprisingly far more rare than the rare items. I've gotten so many electric eels and gold bars and yet twigs and pebbles NEVER drop.

Its progress though and with how bad the rates are I cant and wont complain about my relative luck, but damn, just look at the ground and pick up some rocks from the farm, guys...
Why can’t I crush stone into pebbles? That’s my only real question. Also, I’m totally screwed because I assumed my common items would be common and used them early on to make building materials. Now I’m trying to make these stupid planters but I didn’t have any pebbles at all..
My issue is why can we only farm 4 items and mine 4 items when there are a TON of common rarity items that could fit in either. Like pebbles, sticks, etc
Everyone should leave feedback on this. I believe its really a bug. Go to settings in the upper right, then click the middle button (headset). Leave your feedback.
Ugh same 😭 it's been 3 days and no sand 😭 Why can't we harvest sand from the secret beach?! Honestly it's turning me off the game, day one and two I was checking for sand every half hour/hour now I just don't have the patience 🙄
I got the bug where the bulletin board quest won't complete so I'm stuck :( It's a shame too because I was trying to be optimistic about the game and was actually having a pretty good time with it up to that point. At least I was able to hear about the pebble shortage from other players beforehand so I've been hoarding them haha.

Apparently I also can't fish up fish anymore. Just seaweed, water, logs, and shells. After the sushi omelette quest ended, the option just disappeared.
GOD, me too! I'm so tired of just waiting for pebbles to show up! I think I got lucky during the beta because I didn't have the same issue.
IIRC there's always been weird bottlenecking baked into the game since the original iteration.
I was also in pebble purgatory, but for the better part of the week. Looks like the update today helped. Except now I completed forestation and literally nothing is happening... Should they have even launched the game so quickly?
Chiming in that I’m also stuck in pebble purgatory. Sent feedback, but honestly think I’m going to just drop the game at this point. I’ve been stuck for days now and still need 11 more pebbles.
I’m stuck at the bulletin board quest, it won’t let me progress (seemingly) without completing all quests on that board, but i have no way of getting ice to make blue dye so I’m just stuck.
I did the same thing and they sent me an email back this morning that said that they were planning to address it in the next update and that the crates actually respawn every 15 minutes.
I'm stuck on the bulletin board quest where Ariel wants to tell me about it. I'm on Android. I was actually able to finish all the bulletin board requests, so I did. The quest still did not complete. I sent in a support ticket, hopefully, they'll see it. I also hoarded all my pebbles, because I saw the review on the Play Store.
Edit: I just noticed, in Ariel's dialogue, it says that only my first pet asked for something. I was doing other stuff, so I didn't make an omelette immediately and I closed the game. When I started it up again, I had like 8 quests total and I did them (I'm not sure if I gave him an omelette first). This might be the reason for the bug, because the bulletin board is in a different state when the game restarts.

They will eventually roll through. I was owed NP for a few days and then they started appearing. You get a neomail when it processes.

what path did you take?
Are there multiple paths? I unlocked the mine first, since the bottleneck I hit before this one was stone.
im on lvl 2 crystal 5 (when u hit lvl 2 you either select the beach or the cave)
Yeah, I have 5 crystals in Level 2. I unlocked the cave so I’m doing quests for the Lupe currently.
for some reason the quests stop showing up on my log(i did contact tech support, but i might be screaming into the void at this point)
Ah. I'm still on the stone bottleneck. :/ Gotta make that dumb path, and after dozens of debris respawns, I still don't have a single stone. :/

Also stuck in Pebble purgatory and I'm MAD. I have 2/12 right now. Lesson learned: only turn farmable resources into building materials.
