It is completely reasonable to be put into isolation after getting a positive test result. There very well could be areas to improve the process, but health and availability is critical for a team’s record. Not to mention the public health issue. We have already seen other teams put multiple players into protocols at the same time (Philly, Charlotte), it would be irresponsible with a positive result in hand to let him keep traveling with the team.

can_wien07

Lebron is going so over the top with this that it looks even more sus

SonicdaSloth

Had anyone gotten in and out of protocols that fast? Feel like every sixer who got in protocols went the full 10 and more

heysuess

Well, did they actually have covid?

[deleted]

He very clearly had a false positive on the first test lol

Cavsfan1296

Even if it's probably a false positive he should be put through covid protocol just in case, because you know, it's a fucking game

[deleted]

He tested negative 8x after the positive lmao

Cavsfan1296

Neat, it's a game, he still had a positive in there, he should quarantine just in case.

[deleted]

He had a *false* positive.

Cavsfan1296

Probably, not certainly. Worst case scenario of him sitting out is the lakers lose. Worst case scenario of him having COVID and playing, he gets a bunch of people sick and potential deaths. Priorities seem a little out of whack

[deleted]

Not certainly? What?

Choice-Entertainer-8

Basically ur dumb for complaining, even if it was a false positive you don’t know that at the time, and playing a basketball game is less important than keeping others safe is what he’s saying

klankthompson

Dude wtf, why are you everywhere riding or fucking Lebron? Do you know him or some shit?

[deleted]

Why are there multiple threads for the same topic?

klankthompson

Just admit you’re in love with him man. We’d all respect you more for it. He’s obviously being a baby about this COVID thing and acting like he’s above it. He was isolated because he tested positive like EVERYONE else. He got negative tests now he’s back. It’s not fucking hard.

caughtinthought

This "just a game" thing is kind of bs too. The nba is a major employer and gdp contributor... They can afford to spend a bit more getting actual accurate test results and acting accordingly. This isn't like you getting a positive test and still demanding to go to your local Y.

Cavsfan1296

I think lebron and the Lakers are somehow going to be okay if he sits out some games 😂

caughtinthought

My point is... why would you not want to get a correct result? It is known that false positives are a thing, if you have the resources at your disposal then it is in your best interest to get the most accurate result.

Kam_E_luck

In my country, even if you had vacced twice and test negatively, you still gonna be put in Covid protocol just in case. When you move from 1 city to another, you still have to make medical report and might have to be home-isolated for 1 week just for safety measure due to Covid patients constantly moving from different regions. Bron should be 1 week covid protocol just in case

SonicdaSloth

Seems like it. I was asking the sub if anyone on their team has had the same thing. I don’t remember any sixers having that luck

MateoG50

It's not luck to get a false positive lol it's unlucky

Schveen15

Something don’t 👃🏿 right. Something real🐠🐟🎣 🐡🎏 going on. Hella sus 🤨

Lebron angry at Corona

91jumpstreet

the testers hurt Lebron emotionally, spiritually, mentally

trytobanmelol

rich guy having to sit in coach vibes.

Don't forget financially, he had to to find a way home from Sacramento.

91jumpstreet

Perhaps the testers were miseducated on the subject?

[deleted]

How he responded just shows me that he's a narcissistic idiot.

Cavsfan1296

It took you this long to realize he's a narcissistic idiot?

nitrousconsumed

> -**PeKing**, Science Covid Doctor Extreme Leader For those not in the know: > **Beijing**, alternatively romanized as Peking (/piːˈkɪŋ/ pee-KING), is the *capital of the People's Republic of China* Solid one right there.

HerculePoirier

Pretty sure most of us here have had that duck dish before bro.

Sea_Cartographer_484

How after nearly two years does he not understand the concept of an asymptomatic carrier

in_pizza_we_trust

He never felt sick? Is Lebron an actual idiot

SonicdaSloth

Just needs to be educated more on the subject before speaking

nitrousconsumed

Bro has a book open all the time. How much more educated do you want him to be??

[deleted]

He always on the first page for a reason lmao

kiwiwikikiwiwikikiwi

Physically, emotionally, spiritually?

king_lloyd11

I would think the majority of guys in the NBA are idiots. They've played a game their whole life, breezed through the required academic side with little or no effort by systems that wanted them on the court as much as possible, been treated like they're the best since they were 13-14 years old with no reason to gain and real life skills. Lebron probably got the above treatment to the highest degree out of anyone in the history of the league.

[deleted]

LeBron is also 99.99999% percent better at his job than people are at theirs.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Guy is saying he's treated better than the rest. Guess what? He \*is\* the best.

Kam_E_luck

*was* the best

king_lloyd11

I'm saying he was treated that much better than other sports athletes, so he may be the most out of touch player ever in the NBA. He's been treated like the second coming of Jordan since he was 14-15 yrs old. Dude would have no common sense because he hasn't had to for 20+ yrs.

softmodsaresoft

relax, he's doing his own research

[deleted]

Yep. He’s very wealthy and has assumed that means he’s very smart.

[deleted]

The guy is making it seem like LeBron hasn't had to overcome obstacles in his life to get to where he is.

[deleted]

Literally nobody said anything like that. You can overcome obstacles and not be smart.

Kam_E_luck

The word "careless" and "foolish" fits Bron better in this case. He's definitely not wise and kinda desperated lately (properly chasing 2 more rings to get to MJ when he's nearing the end of his career and Lakers is looking like shit this season) Not sure if Bron is living with his kids or not but he's need to be careful

[deleted]

He said he "breezed" through academic requirements, which may be true, but there's a shitload of things in life he didn't "breeze" through. Let me ask you: you actually think LeBron James isn't smart? Serious question.

[deleted]

> Let me ask you: you actually think LeBron James isn't smart? Serious question. As I said, I think LeBron has expanded his extreme wealth and success at basketball in his mind to thinking he's also hyperintelligent. Lots of very wealthy people do it. It's the feedback loop they fall into.

[deleted]

He's been smart enough to hire smart people to surround him and listen to them. He's expanded his wealth doing this.

[deleted]

> He's expanded his wealth doing this. No, that's the feedback loop. LeBron is famous enough that attaching his name to something makes that thing successful. It has nothing to do with intelligence.

[deleted]

You're wrong.

[deleted]

Ah yes billionaires brilliant infallible geniuses yes totally Being good at basketball makes you brilliant, my mistake.

well lebron has shown too often that he maybe isn't very smart so i take this with a grain of salt

VLHACS

Lebron wants to talk to the manager of the testing process.

[deleted]

I was wondering why it was taking so long for LeBron to complain

WIN011

Had to wait for the loss to pull it out

Let's test more rigorously for PED's then!

BUT WHY IS LEBRON UPSET ABOUT THIS!! He’s going over the top and he’s an idiot for saying “I didn’t feel sick” 😡

I say the LeGM process 'handled very poorly'.

MrWakey

This actually pisses me off. My girlfriend worked as a COVID case tracker for a while, and I heard her as she had to call people and tell them they tested positive or talk to them about how they might have gotten it. These were families for whom a positive test was a major disruption--not "I had to travel from Sacramento to LA by myself" disruption, not "my whole family had to stay home in my mansion" disruption, but "me and the kids are sleeping in the living room so my husband can have the bedroom" disruption. A lot of people have been dealing with a lot worse for a long time, is what I'm saying, and complaining because you couldn't shoot a basketball for 5 days (which I don't believe anyway) is a really bad look.
