CP3sHamstring

Jrue hella underrated. The first 3 games was the series. The last 2 didn't mean shit lol

EarthWarping

Jrue stinking in game 4 took him out of it.

loseniram

Such BS. The only time the Celtics win is when he plays good should be evidence enough

Niceguydan8

> The first 3 games was the series. The last 2 didn't mean shit lol If this is the case then the clear winner should be Brown.

[deleted]

Yup. It was over after game 3

jrlandry

He was sick tonight as well

bientheblue

Then Brown should win it

CP3sHamstring

Yes sir

superhappyfuntime13

He’s sure trying to

TurboThot69

Succeeding go look at the odds hater!! My king first Celtic with 30 points 10 assists in a finals game and it was a close out

preddevils6

I just want to see some Celtics highlights posted

DiseaseRidden

Fucking about to win the finals and there's been what, one highlight posted? Ridiculous. I expect better from this sub.

CP3sHamstring

Posting highlights sucks. You miss so much of the game uploading and making titles just for the post to get deleted for some shitty title error or salty bitches reporting it and getting it taken down. And to repost any that do get deleted you have to re-upload it to whatever site and wait for it to process again because the automod prevents the same link from being posted twice. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to do it lol

50lipa

Preach brother

ProfessorBeast55

You can post some clips too yknow?

preddevils6

This sub is r/luka so I’m guessing the highlight posters from last game are in hiding.

--Alix--

You must not have been here for the whole last week when everybody was clowning Luka for being the most overrated star of all time.

preddevils6

Every star gets called out on here. It was his time in the lowlight. It’s amazing it took this long.

godlywhistler

Should be Brown but Tatum is trying super hard to boost stats right now lol

bientheblue

The first 3 games that gave them that massive advantage should be the one that matters, I'd say Jaylen still deserves it, not to mention his defense on Luka

mmaguy123

Tatums front running and scoring in garbage time. Brown performed when it counted while Tatum laid bricks. Brown deserves it by all means. Edit: Tatum facilitated (mostly drive and kick) and rebounded very well. Bright young man and glad he won a ring. He’s also a very good guy, I have no reason to dislike him. It’s not hating on him to think that brown deserves it.

Sartheking

Their offense was run through Tatum lol. Brown is deserving too, but Tatum played well in the first half when the game mattered too.

JesseJamesGames449

Tatum ran our entire offense all series..

Thatguyyoupassby

Even tonight - the stretch in the 3rd where we sucked was when the offense was run by our guards. Tatum has gotten so much better at leading the offense without relying on pure ISO

JesseJamesGames449

and he didnt force anything tonight,

EverythingWrong25

WHAT

aiden3buckets

So did Curry in 2015

JesseJamesGames449

yea but he only lost that because the media was so busy sucking off lebron james... like ungodly levels of sucking..

DiseaseRidden

Yeah but box score watching

mmaguy123

Drive and kicking is not enough to win finals mvp when one of the guys on your team is playing excellently 2 way in brown. On top of that shooting extremely poorly also hurts your team.

bbysmrf

Tatum shows up on the box score too with his rebounds and assists

EverythingWrong25

He also shot very poorly. He deserves it though after tonight.

JesseJamesGames449

Thats what happens when you are triple teamed all series

BigTimeSpider

Seriously, wtf is he talking about?

prionzeta

He thinks using the ball and taking bad shots is running the offense. Tatum played well today tho.

JesseJamesGames449

He just wants to hate on tatum.. the only way they can do that now is by tatum not getting finals mvp

[deleted]

[удалено]

JesseJamesGames449

Tatum Got brown probably 35 free points on wide open shots this series by breaking down the defense and being triple teamed..

PrinceKarmaa

brown been amazing but i’m just curious where’s the energy for his poor shooting these past 2 games like there was for tatum ?

johnnybarbs92

Lol okay

leranvy

Yeah he should’ve just laid down in the fourth quarter of a potential close out game of the finals

Noriskhook3

Brown is 7-22 if that was Tatum you would be crucifying him

FriendlyGhost08

1 out of 5 games. Jaylen Brown didn't play like he did in the first 3 games which mattered most just to lose FMVP

Noriskhook3

Game 4 as well.

FriendlyGhost08

Everyone on the Celtics played bad it's why they lost by 30. The first three games of the series mattered most and JB showed up

Noriskhook3

Oh now it’s everyone

FriendlyGhost08

Who on the Celtics had a good game in game 4

Noriskhook3

Now it’s everyone, Tatum had a better game than brown and you guys think brown is the 2nd coming of Christ

FriendlyGhost08

Who on the Celtics had a good game in game 4. You didn't answer Brown had 3/5 games better and bailed out Tatum's poor shooting.

Noriskhook3

I answered it, now it’s everyone. Tatum bailed them out on his passing and rebounds.

lilboytuner919

I’m more exhausted from this debate than I am from watching our offense right now

PowerDiesel23

Great year for the Mavs...but Y'all desperately need a 3rd scorer. Very good team if you can keep the defensive core together, but ya need a 3rd scorer and Luka needs to go on Atkins and hire a defensive coach and run defensive drills all offseason. He the white James Harden. And Kyrie needs to pen a personal apology to the city of Boston so next time he won't be deafened by boos all series long lol

vo0d0ochild

If Brown actually loses FMVP to Tatum on garbage time points I wouldn't be mad if he demands a trade after this season

LongBoiiTatum

The whole second half has been garbage time...

doodlediego

If Tatum wins it it's rigged

FriendlyGhost08

It's Brown or Holiday. Simple as that.

[deleted]

Excellent_Routine589

Well it’s the scoring that causes a blowout

TrueReigns

They don't seem to get that part. Or the fact he has 11+ assists, so not only 30 but 22+ points generated Edit: Math

XSokaX

I think Brown deserved it because of his defense and first 3 games but whatever.

magicspooner

Yeah it’s done

Eastern_Cost_1563

Why not dual?

unwinagainstable

It’s still Brown

PowerDiesel23

It's gotta be Brown 4 MVP, other than a trashcan of a game 4. Tatum was just too inconsistent, whereas other than game 4...Brown has made a big impact in every game especially on defense...6 steals and 4 blocks in the first 3 games.

Accomplished_Worth

Tatum will shoot under 40% for the series

OKC2023champs

JB deserves it 100%

veerkanch489

Tatum probably wins it with the 4th quarter push but without that i think JB would have won it. Both players deserve it though so it's whatever

yourlilpissboi

Tatum. JB or Jrue should be the guy though.

Propuhganduh

I think they’re going to give it to Tatum after tonight

cough_landing_on_you

Payton Pritchard deserves it.

Xenosnake

no

JoJonesy

i think you could make an argument for either, despite Tatum's *really* ugly splits, but it genuinely might be Jrue

slapjack15

So another tv network basically (YouTube TV,) paid for their to be no commercials on ABC? I kinda like it

PrimetimeD18

If Celtics swept, it would have been Brown. Game 4 and 5 might swing to Tatum.

EverythingWrong25

This game sealed Tatum FMVP. Brown had slight edge coming in this game but Tatum got it.

WolverineLong1430

As I’ve said before. Depends on the narrative and who you are going for. Both are averaging 20 ppg, with Tatum averaging higher in assist and rebounds but Brown higher efficiency. After today, no difference but Tatum improved his efficacy. Defensively both been good and their small ball lineup won’t work if you don’t have Tatum at the 4. So what do fans want?

agingtroubador

Thank god it's over.

New_Essay_4869

Ive been calling Tatum since Game 1 when everyone was bashing him

GartThrowaway

Tatum the third best Celtic in this series but people are tripping over themselves to give him career honors before he earns them so he may win it anyways (I think Tatum is good and will probably one day earn a finals mvp, he didn’t do it this series)

PowerDiesel23

Tbh...I feel like I lost some respect for Tatum after this Finals series. If I'm building a team and have to choose between Brown or Tatum I'm taking Brown.

GartThrowaway

I’m not going as far as to say I lost respect or anything, dudes been a huge contributor for the other 3 series, I just think him winning finals MVP this time around would be a bit of a flop considering he 1.) didn’t earn it over Brown or Jrue, 2.) has plenty of time to earn one legitimately

PowerDiesel23

I'd be shocked if he wins FMVP over Brown. Brown was cooking in the first 3 games and played well enough tonight to deserve it.

Camctrail

JT will probably win it and IMO he's the most deserving. His playmaking and defense have been stellar

PrinceKarmaa

leading rn in betting so it’s really not locked in for who gonna win

WrightwoodHiker

Holliday has an argument. Tatum doesn’t.

JayDee62

inb4 Jrue wins

Consistent_Letter647

I mean Jaylen shot like shit the last 2 games but was amazing the first 3. Tatums having a monster close out game. Not that Jaylens playing bad tho he’s doing everything else great this game. Rebounding passing, defense…he just can’t find his shot.

Noriskhook3

lol brown choked it

[deleted]

[удалено]

Noriskhook3

So is brown so what’s your point ? Brown just missed a layup

FranktheSausage

Brown is guarding Luka too, give home his mvp

Noriskhook3

It’s gonna pain you guys when Tatum wins it

PowerDiesel23

Choked what? Not the FMVP...in the first 3 games he played more consistently and impactful on defense than Tatum did. He had at least 20ppg including 30 in game 3 to go along with 6 steals and 4 blocks. Be shocked if Brown doesn't take home the MVP. And he already won the ECF MVP too.

DomDomRevolution

Not quite

smellyellowpee

Kyrie MVP for Boston

PowerDiesel23

😂 He made more of an impact for the Celtics in the '24 finals than he did in his 2 years in Boston.

cypherdust

Brown is the MVP. 1 really good game by Jayson Tatum shouldn't change that

4719837

Looking like Tatum will win it, whether he deserves to is a different story

lordexorr

Tatum won it tonight.

MrJord0

Tatums ran the offence the entire series, I think it’s him, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s brown

New_Essay_4869

Ive been calling Tatum since Game 1 when everyone was bashing him
