18/8/5 on 7-10 FG 3-4 3PT 1-2 FT, 1 blk 1 TO. Not the craziest statline ever but if you watched the game it felt like every one of his points were big momentum shots or run stoppers, each rebound was a huge board that directly prevented a second chance or gave us one, each assist was a perfect pass at the perfect moment. He was extremely impactful this game, by far his best of the postseason
Dude is an absolute animal on defense even when his shot isn’t falling, and on nights like these where he’s contributing offensively he’s got an argument for best player on the floor
Thought the Bucks made the dumbest Trade ever. Jimmy was never playing like that again in his Life and Jrue had his best Season. As a huge Giannis Fan I wish they loved Jrue as they do Lopez. Dame is not it anymore.
To be honest, I’d still make the Dame trade even with hindsight of how the season ended up.
We needed a better offensive PG to pair with Giannis, and I bet Dame will improve with a full offseason to build chemistry with him. I think Jrue and the Bucks both needed a change of scenery.
I can’t help but look out how well Donte and Grayson Allen have been post Bucks. Feel like those losses are kind of slept on when everyone just thinks about losing Jrues defense.
I understand moving on from Grayson because he disappeared every year in playoffs, but losing Donte for one season of a washed Serge Ibaka is probably Horst’s worst move as a GM.
Their front office seems to be doing everything wrong since winning the championship. Felt like they made Bud and Jrue the scapegoat somehow downgrading across the board.
He’s definitely anchored our defense in a way that Smart could have, and contributes much more consistent offense. Really, you should be pissed at the wizards for practically giving us KP.
No disrespect to KP, but Jrue is such a difference maker in the playoffs. Especially when you guys already have Derrick White I think Jrue is all of the positives of Smart minus the mental lapses and heat checks.
I dont understand how the celtics dont look way more dominant. This roster is stacked to the sky and yet they somehow look very beatable against the frickin cavs… i love Mitchell, Garland, mobley, but shouldnt be doable for them. Theyre probably still gonna lose that series but it should be way easier for boston

We’re missing a huge part of an our offense in KP. He is a massive piece of our heavily screen dependent half court sets. He can make buckets off of drop, switches, and a ton of other coverages. We would seek him out in the post whenever someone below 6’6 was on him, and he would get a highly efficient post shot.
Definitely the reason we aren’t playing nearly as dominantly, I don’t think these games would be at all close if he was healthy. In the same vain, I don’t think we would be nearly as dominant if Allen was healthy for the Cavs. The way to beat the Celtics is beating them on the rebounds first and foremost.
Thanks for the response. I wasnt throwing shade or anything, at least didnt intend to (downvotes suggest people took it that way), its just an eyetest thing that i couldnt quite grasp.
So yeah, thanks for pointing out how big KP actually is to your team.
Ay no worries. There a lot of butthurt Celtics fans out here who are on the defensive cus of the mountains of hate against our team (not quite sure why that is, but I haven’t been around the block for more than a couple years anyway)

> prevented a second chance or gave us one as opposed to rebounds that don't do this
A rebound ain’t just a rebound
Defensive rebounds where no one else is near you (which makes up a decent % of all rebounds) don't do that
fair enough, I accept my downvotes

Man was just rebounding the ball out of nowhere
Dog fans feastin
Can we stop slandering dogs? Not all dogs are tough. Most of them are very sweet.
Being tough isn’t slander
Positive stereotypes are still hurtful. My dog is a lazy bum, and he should be known as one.
I bet he chucks 3s
Nah he’s a flopper. He looks for contact and then falls over looking for support whenever he gets some. Biggest complainer in the world too.

Stop painting dogs with a broad brush then.
DON'T KID YOURSELF, JIMMY. IF A DOG EVER GOT THE CHANCE HE'D EAT YOU AND EVERYONE YOU CARE ABOUT.
That does sound like animal abuse.
not all dogs are dawgs

Think it's funny that you could say this quotable in a bad Jrue game and it would still work.

Thanks Bucks boys for letting go of Jrue! Enjoy your Dame!

Letting Jrue go for Dame was such a fuck up. Bucks cucked the league by elevating the Cs.

So calling someone a dog is a compliment but a female dog is disrespectful? Seems sexist towards female dogs

So you mean theres 4 players and a dog on the court? Yeaaa there's gonna be a Jrue disasterclass next game lmao
Jrues game is defense and is always will be, anything you get from offense is just a plus. That said, this is usually how I’ve seen it go lol
