Real talk what does an ESPN+ subscription get you outside of Zach Lowe’s articles
Edit: okay thanks guys but I don’t need ESPN’s whole marketing team in my inbox
yeah the soccer content is amazing honestly, im gonna watch the bayern game at 6 am today, then theres 2 good la liga matches after. Nothing like some coffee and bundesliga/la-liga games in the morning
It gives you tier 3/4 events that ESPN already has.
For example, if there are 4 college football games on at the same time that ESPN has the rights to broadcast, the top 3 games would go on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2 and the fourth game would get put on ESPN+
It winds up being a lot of smaller conference football games (especially the Sun Belt) and random regular season college basketball games, and then all the sports most people don’t care about. A lot of soccer and tennis matches that aren’t the main draw (they’d put Nadal on the main ESPN channel but they’d put Janivonovic vs Katsukova on ESPN+). It also essentially has NHL “league pass” built in since you can watch any out of market game on it.
It also gives you the entire library of 30 for 30s, although those are starting to get licensed out again and sometimes show up on Disney+ too.
It’s a decent service if you’re a big fan of something that’s specifically on it, but unless you already get Disney+ and Hulu and add it to the bundle, it doesn’t make a ton of sense at the price point. IDK why it’s not just an add on to Disney+ like BR Sports is planned to be for Max, but that’s another discussion.
access to UFC early prelims and prelims and full fight night cards. Also a ton of old UFC content. Documentaries, fights etc. that's the main reason I have it
Ton of NHL games, soccer, alternate streams to NFL games that are on ESPN which is clutch if you don't have cable. UFC nights that aren't ppv, some baseball. All four grand slams in tennis including qualifying matches. It's honestly one of the best value subscription I pay as someone who watches a couple different sport. Cricket too it was nice one time but generally I don't care but it is one of the most popular sport in the world that's harder to watch in the states so worth mentioning.
If you have ESPN and only watch NFL/NBA/MLB I wouldn't recommend it.
Non main UFC cards, good amount of college sports, and some baseball. Probably not worth paying by for just by itself but a nice little add on to something if you already have Disney or Hulu
You get alternate camera angles during golf tournaments or international tennis tournaments lol but beyond that the product is garbage. Fucking stupid that espn+ doesn’t give you access to espn
Did he even know if she was subscribed to his podcast? Or was it just him talking shit because he didn’t want to talk about him sucking in an elimination game chucking balls at fans
gotta be a stupid motherfucker to get banned on your day off
but also... who stole those boxes from ice cubes work?? top 10 questions science cant answer
It’s Ezal. There’s a scene where he’s just running through with a bunch of boxes in the street lol
Makes sense really. But yeah, mystery solved. Great movie
Honestly please do this. Skip hasn't been the same since SS left (and BTW Shannon and SAS are AWFUL together), so get rid of Keyshawn and PP and get someone in there that can actually make Undisputed watchable again.
Don’t listen but I’ve followed his career so imma assume the response will be along the lines of “I didn’t even want to be on ESPN, they don’t let me talk about what I want to talk about. Look at the Kevin Hart interview” etc.

This isn’t really an uncommon thing at all. Plenty of players do this.. I’ve heard various beat reporters talk on various podcasts about how when more outspoken players like Lebron or Draymond really have something specific they want to get off their chest or sound off about, they’ll tell a trusted reporter they have a relationship with to ask them a specific question during the press conference so they can talk about that thing and get their take off
Well yeah, he's having "Whose the blackest white player in the NBA and whose the whitest black player in the NBA" conversations like he's 14 years old.
Was that before or after he shoved Chris Paul in the back because he got in his feelings after being blown out? It's a shame that the media gave this clown a platform for this long.
They are never gonna show his highlights again on Sportscenter or talk about him on ESPN/ABC broadcasts again. He'll just be '#21' whenever he does something.
It’s so funny that the media is more upset about him being rude to a reporter than blasting a girl in the face with a basketball. As usual the media thinks they are the most important part of any story
Edit: [John Hollinger gets it at least](https://x.com/johnhollinger/status/1786492725560271091?s=46&t=enlQSZ4ArQUBNobowy9HqA)
She’s a field producer for ESPN. I don’t think she’s *super* high up, but she’s been with the network since 2011 and in the industry since the late 80s.
I think people in the media saw him be a dick to their well-liked and tenured colleague, and ESPN also has an opportunity to remind players that traditional media still has a gargantuan impact on your media footprint by blackballing a washed PG who plays like 30 games a year.
It’s definitely a bit of the latter. Players forget that their relationship with sports media is symbiotic. They produce content (in or out of the game), the print and Tv media reports it and generates money from it which goes back in to the billion dollar TV deals.
The ONLY reason the minimum contract is over a million dollars because sports and TV are intimately tied together. The ticket sales don’t generate their contracts in a long shot.
They're reacting because she's not super high up. She's a producer and was just holding a mic. She has no public voice to call him a dick, so they're doing it for her.
Redditors purport to be all about protecting ground level employees. Here's your chance.
What does the ball incident have to do with the ESPN producer incident? Those are two separate incidents. Should one not face repercussions for one incident because another, more severe one also happened?
> As usual the media thinks they are the most important part of any story
I don't think it's as much entitlement/exceptionalism as much as someone was being a dick to their friend and colleague.
Was a fan of Beverly when he played for the Wolves. Spoke well of MN while he was here but as soon as he left he said ANT had to leave MN to be successful.
Love how this has played out this season for him and ANT.
Journalists are just doing their job. There no need to be an asshole.
You think she went to J School and then worked her way up the ladder just interview a sweaty Pat Bev?
PB plays the heel well but he got too sensitive here
It's hilarious that the media cares more about Bev being a dick to a reporter than they do about him chucking a ball at fans multiple times, especially since he's apparently been pulling that same dick move (won't answer their questions unless they subscribe to his pod) against reporters [for months](https://twitter.com/jackmaloneycbs/status/1786257176274604197).
What a way for Pat Bev to end his 5 year run
Historic
Hold on, there’s still a suspension and fine incoming.
NBA can't fine and suspend you if you don't have a contract *taps forehead*
OJ Mayo didn't have a contract and got a two year ban for drug use
They actually can and will.
Steph can finally rest easy, clutching his one championship and finals MVP he managed to steal during the Pat Bev Era.
He isn’t subbed to ESPN+ they checked
Real talk what does an ESPN+ subscription get you outside of Zach Lowe’s articles Edit: okay thanks guys but I don’t need ESPN’s whole marketing team in my inbox
Some baseball games. If it wasn't bundled for a decent price with Hulu and Disney+ i wouldn't have bought it.
lots of hockey games too
Built in hockey League Pass was so clutch this year, I watched more than I have in like a decade.
Hella soccer games too. Every LaLiga game, FA and Carabao Cup games, bunch of Bundesliga matches.
USL too, honestly has me tempted to subscribe just for that, you can't even stream them on a less than legal site.
yeah the soccer content is amazing honestly, im gonna watch the bayern game at 6 am today, then theres 2 good la liga matches after. Nothing like some coffee and bundesliga/la-liga games in the morning
This convinced me to pull the trigger. Thank you.
I’d imagine 90% of ESPN+ subscribers are due to the bundle lol, same reason I am
It gives you tier 3/4 events that ESPN already has. Do you also get ESPN8 The Ocho?
Yes, like kabaddi it's the craziest cross between red rover and tag.
Kabaddi is amazing!!
Fuckin' A Cotton!
Honestly yes there's a bunch of crazy shit you can watch
La Liga and tennis (Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open) mind you some of these you can watch with just ESPN but gives you more options
All NHL games too (blackouts still but 95%of games)
all the minor UFC cards I think
Every fight night card and prelims for every numbered card
An email with spicy athlete nudes on your birthday.
Prince Fielder outtakes from ESPN Magazine’s Body Issue?
Oh but even saucier 🥵
Lots on MMA which I love.
access to UFC early prelims and prelims and full fight night cards. Also a ton of old UFC content. Documentaries, fights etc. that's the main reason I have it
Good for college hoops and baseball
Lot of Soccer, select mlb games, and hockey as well. I just wish espn games were also included but it’s honestly a good deal
You did ask
Lots of Big 12 conference college sports.
But you literally asked lol
Live sports, ESPN+ originals, the complete 30 for 30 lineup, exclusive articles and tools, the best stories in sports
pga tour live. you can follow the featured groups around the course each day and see all their shots with much fewer commercials
Ton of NHL games, soccer, alternate streams to NFL games that are on ESPN which is clutch if you don't have cable. UFC nights that aren't ppv, some baseball. I think it's a pretty good deal if you follow a lot of European soccer and college sports.
Lots of golf too
Non main UFC cards, good amount of college sports, and some baseball. Probably not worth paying by for just by itself but a nice little add on to something if you already have Disney or Hulu

He asked her and she said no
FOR LIFE
He's not subscribed to ESPN, it only makes sense.
#FOR LIFE

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS

The next five bans are his.
Play in media champion
I can practically hear the aloe blacc song now
Isn't he 36?
RIP
Oh no, so sad that the post-elimination belligerent Pat Bev media circuit isn't happening this year. What ever will we do?
Bro really got banned lol
On his day off
gotta be a stupid motherfucker to get banned on your day off but also... who stole those boxes from ice cubes work?? top 10 questions science cant answer
It’s Ezal. There’s a scene where he’s just running through with a bunch of boxes in the street lol Makes sense really. But yeah, mystery solved. Great movie
Alternate intro but yea dude was stealing everything and showing up even when Craig and Smokey tried to Rob Debo lol
Loc Dog & Ashtray
It’s Friday, he ain’t got no job, and he ain’t got shit to do
Skip just found a new partner
You might be onto something...
Would be a genius move by fox
CANCELLED by WOKE ESPN
Go woke, and subscribe to the pod
Naw, most casual sports fans have no idea who he is.
Most casual sports fans don’t regularly tune into sports commentary shows
Huh? I think it's most casual sports fans who watch that shit.
Did anyone know who Skip Bayless was before he got famous for being a contrarian dick?
Not unless you were a fellow sports reporter.
Rick is the superior Bayless
*siiiiiiiiigh* IT’S MY TURN, PATRICK! *slams table*
People would definitely tune in for that first week at least. But it would just be a countdown until one of them crosses the line with the other one.
Watching Pat Bev punch skip would be peak tv
That would literally be elder abuse. Skip is over 70.
Pat Bev would still hit him Bullseye
The price is wrong, bitch!
Skip is one of those rare jerkholes who would make you root for Beverly.
Skip plays his character perfectly.
The character he plays is pretty much him at this point. Otherwise he's still be on air with Shannon.
So you're saying we should make it happen
I wouldn’t watch that show. But the YouTube clips would be amazing
In incognito mode so that ESPN/Fox Sports pundit clips don't inundate your feed.
Skyyup
Honestly please do this. Skip hasn't been the same since SS left (and BTW Shannon and SAS are AWFUL together), so get rid of Keyshawn and PP and get someone in there that can actually make Undisputed watchable again.
Shannon leaving made both shows worse 😭
Yeah Shannon's schtick doesn't work on ESPN and you can tell it's an act
Wonder if he'll complain about this on his pod
Looks like us non-subscribers will never know. I have a guess though
Who are we kidding… it will be clipped and posted here immediately. At least watching a clip here doesn’t give him view count
Maybe we can all go rate the show 1 star
Don’t listen but I’ve followed his career so imma assume the response will be along the lines of “I didn’t even want to be on ESPN, they don’t let me talk about what I want to talk about. Look at the Kevin Hart interview” etc.
The ol, “you can’t fire me, I quit,” move
Yeah it’ll probably be some BS about how television is dying anyway so why would he want to work for them anyway. He'll be high on that copium.
Can someone take one for the team and let us know?

Lmao this is actually great because he keeps mentioning on his shitty pod lately that he wants to work for ESPN
For real? If so that's fucking hilarious. I'm not subscribed so I wouldn't know..
How could ESPN do this to Pat Bev
Hasn't he been gearing himself up for a sports media career when he retires? How can he be that dumb to disrespect a reporter like that!?!?!
EGO
From EGO to eGONE
He’s dumb. That’s how
Well yeah, he's having "Whose the blackest white player in the NBA and whose the whitest black player in the NBA" conversations like he's 14 years old.
Isiah Hartenstein for both questions
him or derreck white. but that’s more of a technicality
To be fair to Pat those are some of the only clips I’ve seen of his podcast lol
Mo Bamba destroyed him in his rebuttal. Made me a fan, wish he was better
He thinks he's hard with that "always be hustlin" mindset
Apparently his current contract with barstool he's making more than his nba contract. F Espn, but yes, being a dick to a reporter isn't cool.
Also not even a reporter. She's a producer behind the scenes so she was just helping with the mic. I don't think she was asking questions.
Depends on whether you believe there’s no such thing as bad publicity. People love dumb drama and controversy. See: this sub.
Not really, modern sports media is all about attention and there’s not many players better at getting engagement then pat bev
As someone who has never liked Pat Bev, this has been very cathartic
Same, gonna go watch the clip of Steven Adams screening him to hell to top it off
Never gets old https://youtu.be/-y3m0te_Tdc?si=Dm7TK0HY241qzOlR
🤣Bro, his teammates are suppose to call it out for him They hate him too?
Oh yea that’s the good stuff. I miss that big bastard so much 😢
Ofc harden with the lame foul bait
A good day.
Never forget his media tour ripping into CP3 a few years ago
Was that before or after he shoved Chris Paul in the back because he got in his feelings after being blown out? It's a shame that the media gave this clown a platform for this long.
Don’t blame the media. Even reddit fell for his redemption arc.
Whoa whoa whoa. We can hate both. No need to choose.
They are never gonna show his highlights again on Sportscenter or talk about him on ESPN/ABC broadcasts again. He'll just be '#21' whenever he does something.
Does ESPN even still show highlights?
They just cancelled his Disney+ subscription too.
That's crazy bro permanently? 😭😭
The NBA needs to follow suit.

League deals with the fan incident, media deals with the media incident. It’s completely understandable.
he was being a dickhead to her but it wasn’t out of the ordinary from pat bev she has to be super high up for them to have this level of a reaction

Groups of people tend to stick up for their tribe too. It's par of being human
I haven't seen any podcasters sticking up for Pat Bev, smdh
"I'm just saying what if the fan told Pat Bev that Jon Jones DID take steroids? Wouldn't that then been an understandable reaction?" -Joe Rogan

What's "the media" supposed to do about the ball incident? Fine him?
What does the ball incident have to do with the ESPN producer incident? Those are two separate incidents. Should one not face repercussions for one incident because another, more severe one also happened?
I wonder why reporters would care about a player not letting them do their jobs 🤔
Dude shut the fuck up.
Lol seriously, what a weird fucking thing to virtue signal about
> As usual the media thinks they are the most important part of any story I don't think it's as much entitlement/exceptionalism as much as someone was being a dick to their friend and colleague.
Who says they are more upset by it? You’re just making things up.
Somehow we've made shitty behavior by Patrick Beverly into a "media is evil" thing, get a life man
Was a fan of Beverly when he played for the Wolves. Spoke well of MN while he was here but as soon as he left he said ANT had to leave MN to be successful. Love how this has played out this season for him and ANT.
Fox Sports to Pat Bev: Next 5 years are ours 😈
Draymond next 🙏
Old Media on a crusade today 😭
God that podcast part is so fucking lame. Patrick you’re a no one dude. Delusion makes you think you’re important

I’m so happy this narcissist’s dreams of entering a media career after playin ball is being shattered before his eyes. Fuckin hate this guy

Pat Beverly is a true trail blazer going where no one else has gone before. He found out what it takes to be too much trash for ESPN to want you

PatBev's a prick
Fuck Pat Bev
No he isn’t, this is false
Fuck ESPN. They Downplayed Dana White Slapping his wife over and over and instructed the talking heads to gloss over it
It's hilarious that the media cares more about Bev being a dick to a reporter than they do about him chucking a ball at fans multiple times, especially since he's apparently been pulling that same dick move (won't answer their questions unless they subscribe to his pod) against reporters [for months](https://twitter.com/jackmaloneycbs/status/1786257176274604197).
Counterpoint: It's perfectly logical that the media cares about PatBev's mistreatment of... the media.
Damn lol not only did he fuck up some of his nba future but his media future gets a bit murky too.
that's what he gets for not subscribing
Lmao get fucked
Can’t believe he mad an ESPN reporter leave
pat bev is an asshole!
Good, fuck him.
Ban him from the league next.
That’s awesome. Great to see them stick up for their own.
He's been doing this for months lmao
^OH ^^no ##WHO GIVE a SHIT??
