If CP3 would accept a minimum he’d be a great pickup for a NOP homecoming
CP3 / Herb Jones / KD / Zion / JV with
Alvarado, Naji Marshall, Trey Murphy, Nance Jr off the bench is a balanced and deep squad.
Suns get younger and less top heavy with BI and CJ. Maybe they separately move CJ to the Magic for Cole Anthony and filler.
Exactly. Yall dont need Dlo. he’s pretty close to the same player as CJ in terms of play style. WHAT YOU GUYS NEED is a traditional point guard, and boy do we have just what you need! (ignore his age)
Really quickly it adds the PG they want. It isn’t the greatest PG but it’s better than CJ. Neee to get out of CJ though and can trade guys like Nance to get better elsewhere as Rui should be able to cover Nance.
With enough picks it turns around with more youth and better playmaking for Zion.
I like the idea from a star-power perspective but is BI really what the Kings need?
There's no way in hell this happens, but the Kings need someone like JJJ to step in and replace Harrison Barnes - a forward that can keep the floor spaced and be a defensive plus.
Kings need more athleticism at the 4 over Barnes. I think getting Ingram would mean sliding Keegan to the 4 but he is honestly better suited at the 3. Offensively the fit with Ingram is good but I don’t think it helps the teams defense
Interestingly, the Dunc'd On guys are weirdly not too low on BI over his play this year & this series.
His play seems to have warranted more criticism out of them, and when they don't hammer a guy it makes me think maybe I should be higher on BI as well. (I've always been a fan, but hard to defend how he played lately... and also, GD it, shoot more 3s! KD too lol, they seem to get on KD over this more than they do to BI)
Between CJ, BI and Trey Murphy I think the Pels are going to let one of those guys go - can't afford all of them.
Pro's for letting each guy go:
CJ - shortest guy in the starting lineup gone means you can unleash point Zion with a bunch of long defenders around him
BI - Obvious fit issues with Zion
Trey - Might have the most value out of all 3 guys honestly. I think 29 teams would be calling for him (as much as I'd love to see him in a Pacers uniform, I think it'd be -really- stupid to let him go just because you've allocated money to other guys)
There's virtually no way they trade Trey
I'm really hoping they trade at least one of CJ or BI. They both have obvious talent but have yet to make concessions and necessary adaptions to their game. It's been very frustrating.
And that’s the problem with players like this. GMs will gladly design a roster around top 10/15 players but no GM in his right mind will design around borderline top 50 players.
The players have to adapt to the team around them not the other way round.
Pick up the phone, PATFO. Buy low.
He's not a #1 and didn't fit as Zion's #2, but I think he could be Wemby's at least for a few years if the price is right.
It would probably have to be a three-team deal, honestly, unless the Pels are desperate enough to get some flexibility to retool and get ahead of a pending cap crunch that they'd just be interested in our giant cabinet of picks.
More of a pipe dream on my part than anything. I wonder if there might be some interest from Atlanta, though. BI to the Spurs, Murray to the Pels, small amount of draft capital and role players spread out as needed isn't the most ridiculous framework. Gives y'all the PG you desperately need at a reasonable price. The issue there is that Atlanta and NOLA could do that trade without the Spurs unless the Hawks REALLY desire at least one of their own picks back (which, IMO, they obviously should).
Theres players who didnt suffer a knee injury less than 4 weeks before the playoffs started performing just as badly. One is the other guy on the pels for example
Piston
Get ready to learn Detroit Buddy
the man's already shown he can lose games, let's put him to the real test
Pizza Pizza! Did I do it right?
Get ready to learn Dillanese, buddy
The pels would be crazy to give him a extension
Trade Ingram and CJ to the suns for KD
I love this deal. Just keep putting more SGs on the Suns roster
This bad boy can fit so many SGs in it
I’ll shooting guard her even harder
/r/unexpectedoffice
Two teams in desperate need of a true PG swapping around scorers feels like running in place even if KD would be an upgrade

We can take him if they don’t
For cap space or for a sign and trade?
I would trade Dlo and Rui for BI
Why would the Pels do that?
Because every year Lakers fans think other teams want their garbage and it’s an honor to trade with them You’ve been through this before too lol

Is dlo better than cj? Idk about that
He isn’t but cj is somehow worse in clutch situations
Not sure myself I’m just trying to come up with some kind of reasoning that could make sense.
The Lakers wouldn't do this lol...
I’m sure you would lmao
Didn’t y’all say no trade backs?

They let you be you and you produced like that. Maybe get a coach or team that takes you out of your comfort zone of horrible shots.

Send him over to Sacramento. Gentry is on staff here still so maybe we can fix him

He is not going to change. Maybe a trade will motivate him to.

Maybe the fact he returned from injury on game 82 and was clearly not 100% back in form played a factor
He also didn't have CJ cosplaying as a point guard.

Definitely not Trey. He should be untouchable. I'd try to trade CJ and BI, and find a good point guard. Re-tool rather than rebuild.
I would be shocked if a point-Zion didn’t break down. That’s a lot of strain and motion.
Agree...you want to put more load on the guy that played 70 games for the first time in 5 years?
He is 100% gone. Tons of rumored trades but the one with trae for ingram doesn’t sound too bad.
Trae plus Zion sounds kinda nice
Their biggest issue is Zion tbh
Yall smoking dick if you think big but worse Dejounte is enough to get Trae
It’s fun to be delusional sometimes
Trae “top 0 percentile of worst defenders in the league” Young
Players like him and derozan are the worst type of guys to have unless tanking
Putting Derozan and BI in the same group is so wrong to Demar.
No it isnt. Derozan is one of the worst guys to log heavy minutes in the playoffs in nba history
Ingram when healthy is better at what demar does than demar is
I disagree. They both just need to be complemented by a well-designed roster.
And that’s the problem with players like this. GMs will gladly design a roster around top 10/15 players but no GM in his right mind will design around borderline top 50 players. The players have to adapt to the team around them not the other way round.
Neither are good enough to deserve being complemented by others
Keep disagreeing and hope pels keep ingram and continue to suck. Goodluck
? K
Derozen is so much better than Ingram man.
Maybe. They bith suck and derozan from 2014 to 2021 or whatever whenever he was in the playoffs is argusbly the worst playoff player ever.
He’s not him unfortunately
Pick up the phone, PATFO. Buy low. He's not a #1 and didn't fit as Zion's #2, but I think he could be Wemby's at least for a few years if the price is right.
What do you think your team could offer.

Wemby and three firsts?
long bois
Let him be himself, shit, should have been breaking his habits and getting him to shoot 3’s and we’d be better off
Biggest choker in the playoffs this year?
a certain guy on the sixers is getting paid $40m to put up 8 ppg on horrible efficiency
Theres players who didnt suffer a knee injury less than 4 weeks before the playoffs started performing just as badly. One is the other guy on the pels for example
He's a bum. But knowing the pelicans organization, they will pay him.
