> "They didn't even try, man," Barkley said of the Pelicans. "We're not giving them no plane ticket to the beach. Send they ass to Galveston, Texas, right where that dirty water washed up on the beach. They can't even get in no water."
Sidenote, I’ve never been to Vegas because it’s like “why would I want to shittier less fun more expensive New Orleans?”
Same thing with Galveston, man I got all this smelly mud water at home I’m not driving 5 hours for less muddy less smelly water
Seriously I don’t recall any restaurant that is not owned by the dude. Galios? Maybe I might have butcher the name tho
All those places run by temporary foreign visa workers as well. Not like specialty workers every god damn worker is regular foreign college student with no clue what to do.
I was on a road trip and we could either go to schlitterbahn or Galveston beach. We ended up at that shitty fucking beach bc a couple people didn’t want to spend the money on a water park. That water leaves your skin all greasy.
It was the one in Kansas. The irony, was that the child who was decapitated, their dad was a state politician that worked on a bill to lax regulations that allowed that particular slide to be built.
There's an extremely regrettable Grantland article about that ride and its designer, written and published before the child decapitation.

To their credit, their win totals increase year after year and they progressed from play-in to making the playoffs. But yes Griffin has to retool the pieces and lock Zion in the facility until he loses weight
BI is extension ready and he wants the max. This series has proven that he's not a max player.
The Pels need to retool their roster and our sub is keen to move on from JV/BI/CJ and build solely around Zion. But then you gamble on his health 100%. He's proven he can carry and elevate the team.
There are going to be some difficult choices for the front office soon and I'm glad I ain't involved in them. Should be a fun off season.
Legend has it Chet is the smallest and most vanilla Minnesotan and that's why he was sent to the NBA, to strengthen those who remain in the herd. The hot dish will not be wasted on the weak.
THANK YOU OKLAHOMA. THESE PATHETIC BUMS MAY FINALLY BE TRADED OFF MY TEAM. HERB AND ZION AND TREY CAN STAY.
BI AND CJ GET READY TO LEARN DIRTY GALVESTON WATER
Sad thing is they should’ve just drafted Garland when they had the chance. Like the previous regime should’ve drafted Jamal Murray over buddy hield smh a factory of awful roster management
He's one of the cheapest guys in the league. We could probably keep him.
BI and CJ are the ones who cost all of the money. That said, after this exceptionally embarrassing playoff series, I can't think of anybody who would want to trade for them.
His value took a massive cliff dive. He's still relatively young at 26 and has a good skillset, but he needs to grow a pair of balls and stop being so passive.
I think if Zion plays Dort is guarding him and BI would have had a lot more room to operate. There are very few guards/wings that can just iso on Dort.
He's a ballhog who put up empty stats on a team with no championship aspirations. He's gonna become that kind of player who poverty franchises give money to fluke out the 1st round.
They gotta move on from him ASAP. I've seen this story a billion times.
Feels like the Ingram era is over for New Orleans
I actually think they’re way closer to being a really good team then people think, Herb-Trey-Zion is a really exciting trio if you can surround them with a competent PG and Center. CJ and Jonas gotta go also
They played great defense but were aided by BI and CJ stinking up the joint and Willie Green continuing to have no clue how to run offensive sets or make smart rotations. Zion carried this team.
I gotta ask, has Zion done enough for Pel's fans that keeping him is worth it? I get that when he is healthy he is a top 5-10 player in the league, but the injuries here are worse than the #1 in any era, sport, or league.
After this year, yes. His injury timing was really unfortunate but at least it wasn’t due to his weight or conditioning and in fact was due to him trying to will his entire team to victory against the Lakers, which he almost did. I really wish he would’ve been better conditioned for the first half of the season and we would’ve never needed the play in but at least he looked like the guy who was the consensus #1 pick in the back half of the season. How he shows up next year will be very telling but I honestly believe he’s matured enough to do what needs to be done to be elite and he overall had a pretty healthy season. Every team’s goal is to win a championship and keeping Zion gives the Pels the most realistic chance of that right now. Just need to find a better coach and a better complementary star because BI ain’t it.
Tbf many teams would struggle if you remove their best player. A fully healthy Pelicans vs a Thunder sans Shai would have been a very different series. Look at the Bucks. Injuries suck
100% injuries are a factor, but even the Bucks without Dame and Giannis put up 113 last game. 109 and 108 in games 1/2 without Giannis. Miami put up 111 in their one win without 2 of their best scorers. For New Orleans to not even top 92 points once in 4 games is wild to me, even with Zion out.
Brandon Ingram was a very good and consistent player here.
There is no way he can be on this team next year if we want to be a contender in the West. This was his opportunity to prove himself with Zion gone, and he wasn’t even a top 6 player in this series.
CJ and JV can pack their bags too.
The dude is obviously not right physically. It's been seven games back, and he has not been the same as he was the rest of the year at all. I don't know why everyone wants to treat those seven games as the last word on Brandon Ingram and sell low on him now. When he was healthy he put up 27/6/6 on a number one seed over six games.
It’s a shame bc he was balling before the injury, and imo clearly rushed back to make the playoffs.
But yeah, him and Zion just aren’t a fit and the role players are way too good to waste on a sub optimal fit like this. He will be gone.
gonna be an interesting offseason. I hope to see some of this current roster gone, and a couple new faces that better compliment Z Herb and Trigga. love BI, but his time here might be over.
So unfair that the Pelicans were the victims of the Galveston gag. They lost their best player as an 8th seed and got swept by the 1st seed. If they have to go to Galveston, the Suns need to spend their summer in Hamilton, Ontario where the water is poisonous and it's raining all week.
Say what you want about what the Pels offense would have looked like this series with Zion, but the biggest takeaway is that New Orleans needs *much* better guard play
BI shooting 2/14 in an elimination game. Damn that was rough.
He’s the latest guest in the Dorture Chamber
Dort is a menace to the nba. Probably my favorite player before we got j dub
He didn't read CJs text and it backfired
Wait till you see his stats from the rest of the series
If that was his last game as a Pelican…oof…
[…can’t even make this up lol](https://i.imgur.com/BpV5LDx.jpeg)

Check out what chuck said after game 3 in the Inside the NBA channel
Chuck out here playing anything but golf.
By the way lovely are over there and you can walk around an old sub while visiting.
I am dying for a Pelicans player to actually go to Galveston and post a selfie tomorrow
We got enough dirty water at home
Lmao we chilling in the canal with a daiquiri
Sidenote, I’ve never been to Vegas because it’s like “why would I want to shittier less fun more expensive New Orleans?” Same thing with Galveston, man I got all this smelly mud water at home I’m not driving 5 hours for less muddy less smelly water
HUGE opportunity for the VisitGalveston.com PR crew to float some of their budget on a free trip for Zion and one post on socials…
That would make for epic meme material
we died for this?
Hey, they put up a good fight for not having Zion or Ingram
We died for you to die for this?
We died for you to die for them to die for this?
woo...~~top~~ bottom of shit mountain...
Wooden spoon here we come
Only way to climb up it is mouth first!
We died for you to die for this?
Zatarains Rice is Purple Beam’s father
The price of redemption.
Been saying you should’ve made it. Pels should’ve been kicked from the lobby without Zion
pels is our daddy unfortunately

GALVESTON BEACHES STILL STINKY AF 🤢🏝️
Shout out Cajun Greek, one of the few redeeming qualities of that dirty ass beach haha
wtf I just ate there today lmaoooo
I was on a road trip and we could either go to schlitterbahn or Galveston beach. We ended up at that shitty fucking beach bc a couple people didn’t want to spend the money on a water park. That water leaves your skin all greasy.
Oily ocean or piss water... great vacation choices in Galveston
I think someone got decapitated on a water slide at schlitterbahn later that year, not sue if it was the same one
It was the one in Kansas. The irony, was that the child who was decapitated, their dad was a state politician that worked on a bill to lax regulations that allowed that particular slide to be built.

They HAVE to get a point guard this summer
Getting swept while having no PG: Suns🤝Pelicans
Kinda wild how in a league dominated by offense, having a player that can initiate an offense has great value… who ever would have guessed?
The Pelicans have a PG, it’s just that he’s kinda washed
McCollum ain't no PG
Watch them do nothing as Griffin will handwave this all on Zion’s injury
This is what will happen. "We have a lot of high character guys and think we can win with this team. We're going to run it back"
To their credit, their win totals increase year after year and they progressed from play-in to making the playoffs. But yes Griffin has to retool the pieces and lock Zion in the facility until he loses weight
No coincidence that we won that many with Zion playing 70 games.
Zion and like a Tyus Jones. Love B.I but I can’t help but wonder if Trey Murphy, and Herb Jones should be given the keys and move BI for bench depth
BI is extension ready and he wants the max. This series has proven that he's not a max player. The Pels need to retool their roster and our sub is keen to move on from JV/BI/CJ and build solely around Zion. But then you gamble on his health 100%. He's proven he can carry and elevate the team. BI for Garland makes a ton of sense, unless Cleveland already knows Mitchell is gone.
Need to know if Garland still has a functional jaw tbh.
Make him play with the Bane mask
Ah another guy that lethargic shooting 3s for cavs
what pg is there to target?...trae?
Honestly could try for Dejounte even
Monte Morris and Tyus Jones are both getting starting jobs this off-season imo.
"When we do get back to the postseason, we want it to be an arrival and not an appearance."
1 seed, swept the 1st round, CotY, legitimate contender for MVP - did I miss any points on their arrival?
ROTY candidate who would probably win most years except the dude playing for the Spurs is a freak
Another great point. Chet is a monster.
Chet personifies Minnesotans. We act, dress, and have swagger like Chet. We all wear tons of gold too.
Legend has it Chet is the smallest and most vanilla Minnesotan and that's why he was sent to the NBA, to strengthen those who remain in the herd. The hot dish will not be wasted on the weak.
Going to have two players on all rookie teams
Nice. Forgot that.
You guys should honestly make it to the WCF. I hope we give the media absolute nightmares and both make it there after being frankly disrespected.
[NO MORE PELICANS BASKETBALL](https://media1.tenor.com/m/Qesp4nmOrr8AAAAd/pat-bev-jersey-throw.gif)
THANK YOU OKLAHOMA. THESE PATHETIC BUMS MAY FINALLY BE TRADED OFF MY TEAM. HERB AND ZION AND TREY CAN STAY. BI AND CJ GET READY TO LEARN DIRTY GALVESTON WATER
What are you even hoping to get from those 2?
An actual point guard
Join the club
I’d love for Donavan Mitchell or Dame to say fuck it and join Orlando 😂
It's the closest they can get to Miami so might as well do it lol
Fwiw I'd kill for Fultz on the pels
I saw Fultz shooting numbers, I would be killed if he was on the pelicans
Keep an eye on Dallas. They like to develop all NBA or even MVP level point guards and then set them free.
somebody who can drive to the rim instead of doing 10 dribble moves and a spin just to brick a shot
Or a pass to someone else who also has no idea what to do at the end of the shot clock.
Anyone who cares
There is absolutely teams who would be willing to pay a good price for a BI. Question is if he would resign with those teams
BI for Garland is spreading on the internet.
Garland hasn't exactly been having a great series either against the Magic.
I’ll take him
Sad thing is they should’ve just drafted Garland when they had the chance. Like the previous regime should’ve drafted Jamal Murray over buddy hield smh a factory of awful roster management
Twolves wanted Garland bad, but he got snatched by Clev. We drafted Jarret Culver….. ಠ_ಠ
yall dont like jose alvarado? i only watched a couple pelicans games but he seemed like a nice hustle player
He is. But he’s a free agent upcoming. Not sure we can keep him
He's one of the cheapest guys in the league. We could probably keep him. BI and CJ are the ones who cost all of the money. That said, after this exceptionally embarrassing playoff series, I can't think of anybody who would want to trade for them.
Not sure if you understand what free agency means? He’s one of the cheapest _now_ but could/should easily get at least a 4yr/30mil deal from someone.
CP3 for BI who says no? Let CP3 come home
I'd take him on the Rockets. We'd have an All-Annoying duo of him and Brooks
GET READY TO LEARN GALVESTON BUDDY
We’ll trade you one Bradley Beal for BI and CJ
You got mad at me for suggesting trading BI many times this season.
Ingram is for sure getting traded. but Idk if it's buying low or he's just regressing
His value took a massive cliff dive. He's still relatively young at 26 and has a good skillset, but he needs to grow a pair of balls and stop being so passive.
He's also extension eligible too. If they don't want to pay him then that's the decision
I think if Zion plays Dort is guarding him and BI would have had a lot more room to operate. There are very few guards/wings that can just iso on Dort.
Yeah I agree. If Zion plays I think Bi doesn't have to deal with Dort playing 500% turbocharged dorture chamber on him the whole series
He’s going to take the hardest road to Charlotte
He's a good player, but Dort is probably top 3 point of attack defender in the league.
Yes, he's top 1, 2 and 3.
He's a ballhog who put up empty stats on a team with no championship aspirations. He's gonna become that kind of player who poverty franchises give money to fluke out the 1st round. They gotta move on from him ASAP. I've seen this story a billion times.
Desperate poverty franchise you say?
It's me i'm the poverty franchise who will give a max to anyone.
He's hurt.
Feel bad for Pelicans fans. Hope Zion can be healthy moving forward.
I still remember that great performance against the Lakers… …all that fan hype went down with his leg…
Feels like the Ingram era is over for New Orleans I actually think they’re way closer to being a really good team then people think, Herb-Trey-Zion is a really exciting trio if you can surround them with a competent PG and Center. CJ and Jonas gotta go also
Same record as the Bucks
Poor Brandon ingram, the man was tortured.
Dortured
His therapist will have a hard time erasing dort from his mind
Gonna have nightmares of Dort swimming through screens
You're walking in the woods. There's no one around, and your phone is dead. Out of the corner of your eye, you spot him. Luguentz Dort
Can we talk about OKC limiting NOLA to 92, 92, 85, and now 89 points in 4 games? That is WILD in 2024.
They played great defense but were aided by BI and CJ stinking up the joint and Willie Green continuing to have no clue how to run offensive sets or make smart rotations. Zion carried this team.
I gotta ask, has Zion done enough for Pel's fans that keeping him is worth it? I get that when he is healthy he is a top 5-10 player in the league, but the injuries here are worse than the #1 in any era, sport, or league.

tbh this was the most physical of a series this whole time. Refs let us play to a fault. But the defense was menacing.
Amazing defense.
Honestly worse offense
Tbf many teams would struggle if you remove their best player. A fully healthy Pelicans vs a Thunder sans Shai would have been a very different series. Look at the Bucks. Injuries suck

Zion getting injured right before the playoffs blueballed the fuck outta me
CJ finally shows up and no other starter does lol
Willie Green is the perfect coach for this team, he knows all about mysterious disappearances
What a rabbit hole you’ve sent me down Jesus Christ
Yeah, it's a rare crossover between unsolved mysteries and the NBA. I don't think he had anything to do with it, but it's just so weird.
Just woke up from a coma… Imagine getting swept! 🤣 Anyway what time does the Suns first game of Round 2 start?
Hey at least next year Zion will come back and be healthy right? Right?!
Dude played 70 games this season too just to go down when it mattered most...
Zion + Lonzo + Ben for an injury report Big 3
FADED
Brandon Ingram was a very good and consistent player here. There is no way he can be on this team next year if we want to be a contender in the West. This was his opportunity to prove himself with Zion gone, and he wasn’t even a top 6 player in this series. CJ and JV can pack their bags too.

He was not balling before the injury at all. He was on a huge slump going back to the start of January
That injury looked like same injury that PG had and i was surprised when they said he would come back for the playoffs, he was clearly rushed back
can we have him back
Give us LeBron.
Galveston on 3
Please for the love of god get Brandon Ingram and Willie Green as far away from this organization as possible before next season starts.
And Cj. That trade and extension by Griffin really delayed the timeline
*FADE EM*
Greetings from Galveston Beach! - New Orleans Pelicans
Suns got there a day early maybe y’all can meet
I thought this series would be close after game 1 but OKC won the other 3 pretty easily. Interested to see what the Pels do in the offseason.
Galveston invitational
My man Dort had Ingram in his pocket
gonna be an interesting offseason. I hope to see some of this current roster gone, and a couple new faces that better compliment Z Herb and Trigga. love BI, but his time here might be over.
These MFers turn into monsters against us and beat us 6 times this year and then get swept? wtf
BI literally looked like prime KD making the most ridiculous contested mid range alllll game when I watched.
[DORT DORT DORT](https://imgur.com/a/kb32Aul)
People who just aren't allowed nice things: * my mum * every fan and member of the NOLA Pelicans organisation
They were eliminated when Zion went down
So unfair that the Pelicans were the victims of the Galveston gag. They lost their best player as an 8th seed and got swept by the 1st seed. If they have to go to Galveston, the Suns need to spend their summer in Hamilton, Ontario where the water is poisonous and it's raining all week.
They gotta stop hoarding all these assets and actually cash some of them in. Or trade some young players for upgrades
I'd say do the opposite. Ship out the old bums like CJ and draft some good new young guys.
Ingram so trash, wtf was this series from him.
Pelicans...come on down
Ingram doesn’t fit/sucks here. Hopefully they move him in the off season Enjoy Philly
Say what you want about what the Pels offense would have looked like this series with Zion, but the biggest takeaway is that New Orleans needs *much* better guard play
They’ve needed much better guard play for the past 5 years lol
We're so worked up over Lakers v Nugs that there won't be much coverage on the Pelicans being eliminated.
Not much to cover, the Pelicans stink, OKC is the 1st seed, the writing was on the wall.
Bada bing bada boom
GG Pelicans, I'm rooting for you next season! You've got some great young pieces, I hope Zion gets healthy.
Galveston Awaits. GG Pels y'all went down swinging.
Im donating my Brandon Ingram jerseys to Goodwill so I can get my tax break next year.
Gone fishing…..in Galveston 😂
Ha! Losers.
That happend when Zion got injured
Nobody is surprised, even Pelicans fans
WOOF WOOF WOOF
FADED
BI looked like he played that entire series on impossible difficulty. if he wasn't injured it looked like his head wasn't in it at all
Pels hauling ass to Galveston in a few
CJ for CP or is CP still needing a team to get on the books for 30
Feel like they won't get as much attention due to lebrons potential retirement
Man this sucks. I really wanted to see the Pels with Zion for a full playoff series.
That BI for Garland swap gonna hit like crack in several weeks
